Samud TS- Stranded on an island.
Part 1:
Everything had been planned except this... They were all shocked when they found out that they had been left on an island with nothing on it, and they were not even aware of the island's name. In fact, they did not even know in which part of the world they were.
Saras sighed out of despair as he sat on a nearby rock while Kumud kept pacing by the calm waters of the lagoon.
The relentless sun was hammering on their heads, making them even more irritated than they already were. Saras looked at Kumud who was still parading on the soft sand...he could not believe how stupid he had been to listen to his friend Sunny, if he had just avoided Sunny's proposal, he would never have been here, that too along with someone with whom he had had a rough start.
Flashback:
Both Saras and Kumud were holidaying on a cruise, which would be taking them to various parts of the world. Saras was accompanied by Sunny and Kumud was alone, she was taking a break from her daily schedule and she wanted to be alone for that. To her, what could be more relaxing than floating on the waters of the most beautiful sea of the world on a lavish cruise? But, if she had not decided to enter the Treasure Hunt' game, her little holiday would have gone as she had planned.
Saras, on the other hand, was on the cruise for a holiday with Sunny, being fond of travelling, Saras could not resist the offer of going on such a grand cruise, however, Sunny was a big fan of thrilling adventures and when he got a leaflet on which there was the occasion to participate in a Treasure Hunt'. The game was organised by the cruise company itself and it would comprise of 4 teams of 3 people each. Sunny was not immune to the tempting opportunity and he convinced Saras to enter the game along with him. They had to insert their names onto a paper pinned on a notice board in the cruise lobby and when they finished giving their names for the game, there was only one spot left.
Kumud was also passing by the lobby at the same time and she happened to notice the paper and she gave her name. Well, how bad could this be? If I lose it, it would not cost be anything and if I win this treasure thingy, I will get the occasion of boarding this cruise again next year, that too for free!" She mentally squealed to herself.
The next day, the people volunteering for the game had to meet near the outdoor pool of the cruise. Saras and Sunny had reached there and there were also other contestants, including Kumud. When Saras saw Kumud, he was slightly taken aback since he had a rough start with her. Actually, they had met each other two times, and both of their meetings are to be marked as bad and unpleasant memories. Their first meeting was when they had fought get the last piece of salmon for the last week dinner. Actually, it was an open buffet that night and Saras was impressed with the piece of salmon which he was savouring, "Wow Sunny, I've never had such a tasty salmon till date,"
Sunny replied, "Well, then, you may serve yourself to more of it, but don't take much time since we had planned to go and play snookers."
Saras made his way to the table where the salmon was kept and he was relieved that there was a last part left...but he saw someone forking the salmon right under his nose, when he looked properly, he saw a girl walking away to the next dish. Saras was hell-bent on having the piece of salmon, so he did whatever he could do.
"Excuse me Miss, I need that salmon..." That girl was none other than Kumud and she turned in order to face the person who said that to her.
"What?" Kumud said and Saras said," If you don't mind, I need that piece of salmon, you can serve yourself to other dishes,"
Kumud was stunned at his audacity and said," Yes, I do mind, and instead, why don't you serve yourself to something else instead of eyeing my salmon.."
Saras was now irritated, "Since when was it YOUR salmon, is your name written on it?"
"Well, it is on MY plate, so technically, it is MINE, and please get out of my way, I did not have anything since morning."
"So what? That's not my problem..." Saras snapped back at her.
With all the commotion they were creating, the manager had to go and see what the fuss was all about and all the other passengers were equally perturbed with the on-going fight.
The manager had succeeded in calming them down but the problem was still not solved. Sunny was long gone and he had been impatiently waiting for Saras in the game room and he had already texted him to come fast.
Kumud had got away with the food and the manager apologized to Saras and asked him to wait for the preparation of another similar dish but Saras annoyingly declined the offer and went to the game room to meet Sunny while lamenting about his poor luck. Kumud on the other hand was disgusted with Saras's unpleasant attitude however, she did not want to spoil her holidays by thinking about that rude person.
Their next meeting happened the very next day near the outdoor pool of the cruise. Kumud was relaxing on a reclining chair and enjoying the sun while Saras was searching for his phone which he had left on one of the reclining chairs earlier. Kumud had opened a diet coke but some of the content fell," Damn! I must get someone to clean this now."
She called the personnel of the staff and she was back to relaxing. Before, the spilled coke could be cleaned, Saras noticed his phone on the reclining chair next to Kumud and he rushed to take it but he slipped on the coke and fell down. Kumud got up from the chair and apologized but when she saw who that person was, she just laughed right in his face. Saras got up and seized his phone. When he saw who was laughing at him, he totally lost it.
"YOU were the one who stole my salmon and now you purposely threw coke down so that I fall, are you paid to spoil my holidays??!!!!" He let out frustrated.
Kumud was shocked with such an accusation," Are you nuts or what? Do you think that you are too important? "
"Yes, I do." Saras retorted.
Their fight was stopped by the manager once again and since then they both made sure not to get in each other's paths until now...
Saras nudged Sunny and said," She is the same girl who has been causing all the problems till now."
Sunny smiled and said," Are you sure?"
"Are you trying to make a joke out of me now Sunny? If that's the case, then you can take your f***ing came and go to hell!"
Sunny calmed Saras down but the next thing which they heard made Saras's anger resurface. Since Kumud was all alone, she was put in the same team as Saras and Sunny. Kumud was also irritated by this and she wanted to change teams but the game host had put them in one team since their names were one under the other on the paper and people in other teams were not willing to change teams.
