Chapter 55 (last)

"So how are things shaping up at office?" asked Harsh

"Harsh! How many times have I told no office talks at home!" wailed Renuka

"Chill mom. This might be the last time. Dad its almost done. I dunno how 1.5 years went by. But we have trained these guys well. Infact just a call to Bhaiya and everything is set." He beamed

"Great. How was Mish's contribution? And where is she?"

"She was amazing. Her skill of handling sales was too good. And es she will come a little late tonight. Waise bhi she is out of mood." He said

"Kyun?" asked Renuka in a worried tone.

"Aapko pata hai. Aaj hum Sanyu aur ANkit se baat nahi ki. Baaki sab se hua. Par Kastu bhi jaldi mein thi." He complained like a 5 year old kid.

"Tch. Bas itni se baat. Mein darr gayi. They must be busy with some work. Tum dono bhi na." sighed Renuka.

"Acha Randhir am going to sleep. You will be awake till Mish comes na?" he asked

"Am already home." Came her voice from the entrance

"Ab mood kaisi hai meri beti ki?"

"Teek hoon. Ankit se baat ho gayi." She smiled

"Kya ?" jumped Randhir.

"Bhai you are scaring me. And Sanyu is doing good. She has gone to some meeting in Mumbai I guess." She soothingly told her brother.

"Hadd hain. Kal keh nahi skti thi kya.Hmph. Baat nahi karunga usse." He grumbled and went to his room.

"Mamma aap so jao. I will finish my dinner and sleep." She said

"Good night sweetie!" renuka kissed her daughter and went to her room.

Dhwani hummed and went to her room to get changed. By the time she came out, the entire dining table was set with candles which left her dumbfounded. "Kaun hai" her voice shivered.

She picked up the lamp from the table beside sofa and slowly walked upto the table. She could sense someone behind her and by the time she turned around, the lamp was long gone from her hand and her hands were firmly held by another set of hands while her mouth was also covered. "I didn't know that you are so brave Mish" came a voice close to her ears.

She shivered at the proximity and slowly said "Chipkoo?" "Yes darling. Can we have our dinner and then continue our romance? Am very hungry." He pouted and left her hands.

She turned around and hugged him tightly. "Holy mother of God!! I cant believe you are here!! How? When? Why didn't you tell me?" she grilled him with a number of questions.

"Please na lets have dinner and I will explain everything." He pleaded

Soon they had dinner and settled in the hall. "So how did you come here all of a sudden?"

"Kyun tumhe acha nahi laga?" he asked

"Arey budhu mein toh bahur bahut khush hoon. Par pata hai bhai aaj Sanyu se baat bhi nahi ki. And he is feeling very low. And how did you manage to talk to me also? Aur mom dad? Kahi Sanyu bhi aayi hai?" she almost screamed.

"Haay meri Raajdhani express. Thoda break lagao. Kisi ek station pe atleast ruk jao.! AUr haan Sanyu yahi hai. She actually came just after Randhir and you left to office. And Kastu and me reached here this evening. That's why I was able to talk to you." When he completed Mish's mouth was in a perfect o' shape. Ankit had to jerk her a little to get her back to reality.

"Sanyu yahi hai? Par kahan?" she asked.

"Randhir's room. But I dunno how he didn't notice her when he went to change." He asked in a confused tone.

"Hmmm maybe he was preoccupied with something. Something kya yahi hogi ki sanyu se baat nahi huyi."

Just as she finished, she heard her brother's room door open and Randhir rushing down as though he had seen a ghost. But the moment he saw Ankit he got back the color on his face and gleamed with happiness. He rushed to Ankit and hugged him tightly. "Um Randhir kahin tume kuch ho to nahi gaya na? I am straight and my sis is waiting for you." He said and immediately welcomed a punch from Randhir.

"Kab aaye saale? Bataya bhi nahi. Aur tumhari behen upar aaram se so rahi hai." He said

"Arey jet lag hai. Waise bhi I heard your project is almost done. So when are you guys coming back?"

"We were supposed to leave day after. I thought we could surprise you. Par yeh toh ulta hogaya."

"Surprise abhi baaki hai saale saab." Continued Ankit.

"Matlab?" asked the shekawat siblings together.

"Surprise!!!!!" came chorous voice from various parts of the house.

Their house was filled with the entire family of Aggarwals, Shekawat, Patels,Kumars, Sherpas and the Kashyaps and not to forget the Suryavanshis.

"Kaisa laga surprise Gabbar?" asked Sanyukta walking closer to him. She went and stood beside him and took his hands in hers.

"Allow us to give another surprise to all you kids now." Said Anju

"Well Tum logon ka shub muhrat do din baad nikla hai. So kal se we will start all our rituals here." Said Renuka

"Kya?" all the youngsters asked.

"And the arrangement is this that, Kastuki and Parth's family will stay with us while Vidushi and Aggarwals will stay with Patels." Concluded Harsh

"So now lets get going. We hardly have anytime." Said Mrs Patel and all of them left without giving any chance for the youngsters to speak anything.

Two days passed quickly and it was the wedding day. Four identical mandap were set up and the guys were looking dashing in their traditional gold and red sherwani. The girls came clad in different colours of lehengas gifted by their in-laws. The wedding took place smoothly as all of them took their vows again after two years.They were announced man and wife by the priest as soon as the men had made their ladies adorn the beautiful black chain and filled their partition with the color of love.

All of them were relaxing in the Shekawat mansion while the parents were busy in setting up the rooms. Parth suddenly chipped "Sanyu iss baar good news pakka aayega na?" "Kya? Kaise good news?" asked Randhir. "Arrey. Tum ne hi toh keh raha tha airport mein. Agar good news hua toh boldena and all." Cleared Parth.

SanDHir had turned red while others were continuously laughing. "Nothing much happened that day." Sanyu stated. "Nothing much? Acha? Teek hai na. Aaj raat ho jaayega." Jiggy said. "Waise sab ka yahi haal hai. Aur mujhe pata hai." Came Vardhan's gruff voice. All of them got alerted and kept quite. "Girls you are all wanted in your rooms. And you guys stay here I wanna have a talk with you all."

Soon the guys went to their respective rooms to only see their bride waiting for them. The urge and the pep talk given by Vardhan did the thing and slowly the night dwelled into the most beautiful memory to be treasured by them for a lifetime.
