Thank you Meera30 for that sentence. This is why I am waiting for that pot of time a the end of my rainbow to read and reread your stories RockBarbie. Your writing evokes a longing I neither knew nor know that it even existed. I will get back to it. :)

Beautiful story..
The essence of the concept struck a chord in my heart. It was a about giving in to each other, and to respect the other's wish, within the diaspora of their comfort and sense.

Khushi and Arnav were well explained here. Their inhibitions, their thinking and their love for each other. The key being their trust and their ability to give each other the time and space to breathe, to think, and to be themselves.

I accord this as one brilliant piece, and heartwarming to the T. Your grasp at things and your writing is simply fabulous.

Really loved the bold way u handled this subject... Absolutely love your talent with the pen...and the way u told this story...simply brilliant!!!
Loved the fact that Arnav was sensitive to her needs too and didn't push her...and at the same time she too thought about his needs...thus being symbiotic...

Wow RB, this is facinating. I read chapter 1 last night, in fact very late last night but the meanings eluded me. This morning is a completely different story. Arnav is essentially the father figure in this house, even mammaji cannot succeed in that respect, they all look to him as the leader, the provider, the shelter, the giver, but who takes care of him emotionally. Im not talking about the mothering that Anjali provides, but something only a wife, his lover can do for him, allow him to be the submissive, to forget everything, accept orders within the confines of their room.to be submissive for an indian man is allowing her into his head, not just his heart. The fact he wants her to open up to him more to talk to him and take control is a a very different shade of grey, especially for someone so young and inexperienced as Khushi. In any marriage, in a good marriage there must be the give and take, of mutual trust, that is what he wants from her. Its quite strange to think of her as the aggressor consideting most Indian women still think that enjoying " the three letter word" is wrong.

I love you writing , it takes the norm from reading to understanding and thinking. Thankyou. 👏 👏 👏

Hey RB

I'm finally here.

It was an amazing read. Very very deep.

Made me think about it a long time. When you are in a relationship, all that should matter is your partners happiness, as we are told. But, have we ever brought into action?

I dont know, I loved this interpretation of your take on their relationship. A certain age difference might cause difficulties, but when two people are madly in love, age is just a number.

I'm glad I read this and I've loads of questions to ask you.

I hope I dont scare you away with them. Will PM you later.

Love
J

P.S. dont ever stop writing.

Very well written a very important aspect of a married life or for that matter a couples life married or not. Which most of the time people keep it in hush hush and than that same aspect becomes the reason of adultery or betrayal.
I loved how you used quiet spaces (physical, mental or emotional), pillow talks, sex preferences and experimentation to explain how each partner is important not for participation but equal participation and pleasure. If a couple should experiment it has to be on common ground and for that both have to speak up.

I especially loved the fact that Khushi didn't let the awkwardness sustain even though she was in a better place rather talked it out, explained her feelings and expectation.

Don't understand why Arnav felt that he didn't have a right to expect anything from Khushi or from there marriage but glad that he didn't hold back but talked it out.
