And Manik. Oh boy. Your update and then the epi. I read it again now, and it's too much. Mera Manik, always the one hurt, broken and no one to turn to for a moment of solace...except Nandini. I simply LOVED the way you've shown Nandini's confusion and hesitation at Manik's question. Why, exactly, does she care? Unlike the show's Nandini, she doesn't "love" him no? So instead, she answers his question with a question. If she'd taken the "cause I care for you" or that sort of mushy gushy route, it would've seemed OOC, at least to me.
And Manik, breaking down; broken Manik, lost Manik, scared Manik, helpless Manik. Shellz your writing is so, so AMAZING, touch wood. I can still see the whole scene playing out in front of me. Oh and thanks for that neck-sniffing thing (sounds so weird when you put it like that tho🤣) Even though exploring other things ain't such a bad idea, I have this HUGE crush on the neck wala thing. Feelzy types☺️

You are a star bas. No wonder I'm such a hopeless fan of your writing😳

I'm all for paybacks if I get such lovely comments from you at the end of the day. 😳 Now, seeing that you have pointed out Manik and Nandini's character traits so acerbically, lemme give you some trivia as a bonus. 😃

My Nandu is someone who have practically divorced herself from feelings in general, the extreme ones in particular. She is cold, precise and logical. A lot of it has to do with the fact that she's an orphan and also that she started preferring being left alone than being with a bunch of 'friends'. She thinks twice before uttering a single word or acting out on something. She believes in "survival of the fittest" and being a lone girl in a city like Mumbai, "survival" doesn't come easy. So she uses what she have in order to do that- it's either her physicality or her intellect.

With Manik around, she started doing what she never thought she would..."going with the flow". She is someone who lives by her rules and Manik pretty much shook up the whole rule-system she had. So, with him around, she doesn't plan things, just does them anyway.

Manik, on the other hand is clear as glass. 😆 He never gives his thoughts any privacy, he just blurts them out anyway. Partly because he doesn't care what people think of him and partly because he's just weird that way. He loves his money very dearly but is not a miser- he can be an obnoxious show-off. And yeah, this Manik has never dated Alya, let alone date her for SEVEN YEARS! Usse koi bandi saat din bhi nahin tikti. 😆

He's not disrespecting or dismissive of the opposite sex in general, he just hasn't met anyone who'll hold his interest long enough to make him fall in love.

Nandu is one girl whom he secretly respects in his mind. She is someone who's more than "just a hot chick" to him. Her standing unabashed even in the face of his nasty temper, her counter-attack to his manhandling are a big turn on for him, hence the desperation. 😆

I'll update it when I can, so chaap nei. 😃

This was a great chapter, and I so missed Harshad. Ahhh

Another murder, now this is really cool. And eeek Mukti's connection with the death of Abhimanyu's father has me all curious. Oh, and I really love Abhimanyu.

MaNan had me gushing ^.^ They always do. That was such a nice scene with him breaking down and finding solace in her arms <3 iFangirl
But poor Manik he's so sad it makes me sad :(

I've made Ahimanyu a lot more TOLERABLE in my story so I'm glad that the effort paid off and you like him here. 😆

Don't worry about Baba...he'll come around after getting some hard core action from Nandu. 😆 This Manik is smart enough not to cry over spilled milk for too long and do shit like 'SACRIFICE'. 😆 Yeh banda roti cheenne mein believe karta hain na ki hand over karne mein. 😈
