It's par excellence. I really enjoying reading your works.
This story is a master piece. The emotions, the scenes tje characters. Everything has been beautifully sketched.
I just hope that Sharon gets her memory back soon.
I have a request. Can you please introduce Rishi in this story as well. I'm kind of missing his bond with SwaRon a lot..
Thanks a lot for the PMs. I appreciate it.

Chapter 15
The morning air felt pleasant as it whipped across her face. Sharon was not much of a jogger before but Simi coaxed her to come along saying she had to do something about her asthma. Simi told her that using the asthma pump before any vigorous activity used to help Sharon do it without much problem. Sharon decided to try it. She had inhaler in her pocket, though, just in case.
She also told Sharon how Swayam had encouraged her to continue her dance even knowing that she had the problem. It was because of his care that she could revive completely and live the life she always had. Somewhere in her heart she felt gratitude towards Swayam and that gave her even power to battle against her problem.
Sharon felt a wave of strength surge through her. Dancing made her feel elegant and light, as if she could fly whereas jogging made her feel strong and independent; she could not exactly place why. She focused on breathing in and out. Everything was fine till after the second lap when her chest started feeling heavy, her windpipe closing in, but she kept jogging, she did not give in. She heard Simi's voice encouraging her, saying, "Don't give up so fast, Sharon. Come on, you can do it."
Come on, she pleaded to herself.
Her breathing felt difficult but not unmanageable. It was a labour and with every step, her lungs screamed to stop, but she carried on. Her pace dropped drastically but she didn't stop. No, she told herself, I can do this. Slowly, her chest cleared, the feeling of dizziness there but not consciousness-losing-dizziness. The best part: she could breathe again, her breath didn't feel dragging anymore. Gradually, her chest completely cleared up. She was breathing, she was breathing properly.
Sharon realized it was working. Ha, the excitement of this revelation made her shoot forward, she started sprinting ahead and then realizing that she should not push her limit slowed down, out of breath but exulted. She turned back to see Simi jogging behind her with a huge grin stretched on her face, as they say, ear to ear.
Her weeks of struggle finally paid off and Sharon jogged home, jubilant.

Swayam was still confused as to why Sharon was avoiding him. That night, they had not fought. She had been friendly with him, more than friendly, and everything had gone quite well. Actually, more than well, to be honest. So why had she been avoiding him for the past few weeks. But his experience had taught him that whenever she started avoiding him, it meant she thought of it as the only right thing to do. She thought it was for his betterment. He only had to find out what hidden agenda was on her mind now.
But on the bright side, Sharon's asthma problem was getting better. He noticed she was able to perform without much problem these days. However, he also noticed that Sharon had gone exceptionally quite these days. She was never much of a talkative person but to shun herself away from everyone was not her nature. She loved to be in charge, loved to be the centre of attention, and the Sharon he knew did not simply accept what came in front of her. Her ferocity was somewhere lost in the time being.
There were too many questions on Swayam's mind and he did not have answers for any of them. He felt frustrated and there was only one way to release the frustration.

Sharon was too happy that her asthma was finally clearing up. She decided to start dancing alone again. Of all the things she had forgotten, this was not one of them. The feeling she got when she danced when no one was around was something she could not put in words. It was her definition of nirvana. It was as if she let her mind rest and her body took charge.
Sharon was alone in the rehearsal hall. She started the music, pure music not adulterated by words, only purified by one emotion, that of bliss. She closed her eyes and surrendered herself to the music.
Her body swayed on its own accord. She pirouetted, swept, leaped freely without any inhibitions. She loved this, loved the feeling of freedom it provided her, like there were no limits. There was only her and the music. She loved it when the music filled her mind to the point where everything else felt insignificant. When she was so absorbed in the melody that she subconsciously lost all control of her body. She let it sway the way it wanted. Nothing forced, nothing memorized, just going with the flow. She danced completely oblivious to the presence of someone else in the hall.
Swayam had come to practice on his own but stopped on seeing Sharon dance. He had seen her dance on many occasions but not once had he seen her perform with such grace that seemed completely out of this world. He always knew Sharon equaled dance but he now knew Sharon was the very definition of dance. Sharon had never looked so breath-taking beautiful.
He knew that's what dance always did to her. All her pretence evaporated. The arrogant, bossy diva evaporated to show her real self, the innocent and carefree Sharon. He always loved the way her eyes became glossy and unfocussed, like she had been transported to a completely different world. Swayam watched her mesmerized by her beauty as she turned and bent and spun and leapt.
Suddenly Swayam's cell phone rang bringing Sharon out of her trance. Swayam hurriedly took his phone and seeing the number of Customer Care cut the call, switching the phone off. But it was too late, Sharon was staring at him and he was busted.
"What are you doing here?" Sharon asked panting. "It's five in the morning."
"I know," Swayam replied, embarrassed. "Actually, I wanted to practice, so..."
Sharon's frown cleared and she said, "Well then, the hall's all yours."
She picked up her bag. Swayam noticed her translucent T-shirt sticking to her skin, making Swayam's thought process go fuzzy. Sharon was about to leave when Swayam held her wrist. Sharon turned, confused.
"Dance with me," he said.
Sharon looked away, "I am tired."
"Sharon Raiprakash, tired of dancing. I don't buy that."
The music changed to another tune, a soft yet sensuous, as though time wanted to let them mark this moment as theirs. Swayam walked closer to her. Sharon felt a heat radiating through her body and she was sure it was not due to her previous rehearsal. Swayam's eyes were scorching her from within.
Without leaving her wrist Swayam snaked his hand on her waist to the bottom of her spine. Out of its own accord, Sharon's back arched and she sucked in breath. What was wrong with her?
Swayam began to move to the music taking Sharon with him. It was as if her body knew how to react to him. When she danced alone, she let her body take over her. But while dancing with him, she let her heart take over her. Her body reacted to his every touch in its own way. As much as she heard a faint voice somewhere at the back of her head say to stop this, she could not. Her heart would not let her.
The music ended and both of them were facing each other. Swayam let go of her waist. A part of her mind wanted to seize his hand and place it back on her waist but the other part was too swept with emotions to work properly, emotions she could not place.
Swayam cupped her face in his hands. She felt so perfect in his hands. He had completely let himself go while dancing. Feeling everything he wanted to, tearing his heart open in front of her. The feelings he had kept bottled up for so long had finally burst open. I never want to let you go, was what he meant when he pulled her close. I want to be with you in every step that you take, he tried to tell her when he took slow steady steps in her wake. My heart will always beat for you, he thought as he placed her hand right over his heart. She had always had that effect on him. Swayam, the guy who was always in control of his feelings could forget his name by her mere proximity.
His every instinct had told him to come out of his trance but he could not do it and now he stood with the most beautiful angel in his hands, feeling complete.
Sharon could not recall feeling this way but somehow she felt she had experienced this before. Her heart beat wildly in her chest and she loved the feeling of it. Swayam looked into her eyes as though searching for something. She wanted him to do something, to sweep her off her feet but he did nothing more than look her in the eye. Finally he asked softly, "Why are you avoiding me, Sharon?"
That brought Sharon back to the present and with a sinking heart she tore her gaze away from him. She gently took his hands away from her face and turned away unable to look straight at him.
"Sharon, you're silence is killing me." It hurt Sharon to hear him almost beg for an answer. "Please Sharon, please. I deserve to know why you are avoiding me."
He did. He deserved everything in the world and that was the whole problem. Sharon was in tears now. "I..." she stammered, "I... don't want to give any false hopes to you Swayam."
"What false hopes, Sharon?" Swayam turned her to face him.
She looked up to see his eyes begin to moist, "Swayam I... I don't know if I will ever love you again. It's possible that the circumstances made me fall in love with you. But now I don't remember that."
"Sharon, love happens one way or the other. Why are you fighting against it? You had loved me once, you will love me again. Just give me one more chance."
"Swayam," she shook her head, "Our love is just like a fairytale to me. It's something that I have heard of; something that is too perfect to exist, and that I have never experienced in person."
"Sharon what do you mean it's too perfect to exist? It existed. You have a dozen people to testify it?" Swayam cried out in a desperate attempt to keep her from going away.
"But it still remains something I have only heard of." Her eyes ran over his face, seeing only one thing in his. A plea. He was begging for acceptance. No accusation, no hurt. Only a silent plea to be loved once. Sharon's heart constricted, "If only I had one memory of us. One experience to prove all of it was real. That's all I need, and when or... if I get it, I promise I'll come back to you. I will give us a chance."
"Sharon," her name came out as a hopeless plea.
"I am not saying never," she pleaded. God knew she wanted this as much as he did. But she couldn't bear to hurt him more. "The doctor said I might remember things. It might take a lot of time but it might come back. I am just asking you to give me some time. Please, Swayam."
Swayam's eyes roamed freely over her face as though trying to memorize each and every thing, each curve. His gaze made Sharon feel so small and vulnerable in his arms. His fingers dug in as his expression took an edge of desperation before he closed his eyes as though in pain, his fingers released her and finally nodded. Sharon took his face in her palms, whispering, "Thank you."
Sharon kissed him on the forehead and with one final look she left the place teary eyed.
