Hey Jen !!! Kick me all you want but this time I have purposefully delayed my comment... I was reading and re-reading and re-re -reading your update !!!
Gawd...U killed me Jen. Last night I went to sleep with a very heavy heart !!
The desparation when you miss someone badly makes you take steps which are not righteous. You know it all but still you cant curb the intensity within to stop yourself... Arnav acting selfishly and then realising it and then too wanting to hold on to a hope of getting Khushi texts her"For Now"... He knows all the odds and adverses and yet has a flikering hope that someday it would happen...
The first part which affected me was the agony Arnav was going through when he was missing his own flesh and blood... Its so difficult to live with that feeling of loss and knowing that it would never be retrieved back. That choking feeling when one knows that the loss has happened and yet you are not able to come to terms with it. Oh I felt it all Jen... The only soothing balm he could remember was Khushi but again that was beyond his reach.. One feels so helpless, shattered and traumitised all in one moment that the only thing he can process is the wave of sorrow over him.. No amount of tear shedding would help that situation. Ufff as i write this I have a lump in my throat...
The second part started on a positive note but as it progessed, it left me numb. I could feel the tremor between Khushi and Arnav when they sensed each other at the quay.You have brilliantly described the feeling of surprise, unbound happiness and over flowing emotions between the two. Khushi was well hoisted by her own perils when she said"How old is your son?" Believe me Jen, I never wanted to read beyond thos point because I was not ready to read about Arnav's reaction. It was like hitting the dead.Their embrace at the end gave me some respite.
Throughout the update I was feeling for Arnav !!! You've done a great job again Jen.The only lines I could remember after reading the update and understanding both the protagonists plight is "Aye zindagi gale laga le.. humne bhi tere har ek gam ko gale se lagaya hai.. hain na !!"
