Anuuu - Once again you have left me speechless. Love you Sweetie! 🤗
U know me and my weekend IF ka rishta 😆 So i shall come back to this in a few hrs. 😳

*Edited*

So he really left her...matlab ke woh bas chala gaya without saying anything to her. Do i blame him for doing so - no not really. He did what he had to do and what was the sensible thing to do given the hopeless situation they were in.
But he left leaving lot of memories which would be very difficult for khushi to forget and to overcome.
But at the same time it will be these very memories which will help khushi stay sane as she awaits for her arnavji...holding on to the thought that one day he will come back for her.

I loved the ending Anu...BAS! Its always nice and comforting to read a story which ends with - And they lived happily ever after. But real life has its own challenges. And you did a fab job of penning it down in this OS. Toh i will definitely hold on to that Ray of hope that you left us with.

This was just amazingly perfect sweetheart!

It was probably the best combination of Choices+ Decisions.

His decision was taken even before he had let her stay in the confines of his house and her choices were pretty clear from very beginning. So, charecter wise, i'm super satisfied with them.

Coming to the night they spent. I'd rather say, they deserved it. A Night where they could feel belonging, connection, security, Love.. Forgetting everything else. It was just him. Just her and a desire that was triggered by Khushi's confession, Arnav's dormant heart which to beat when he saw her pull the trigger.

For her, he was her obsession, her only hope. For him, she was a light.

The fact that he didn't inform Aman about when his friends would come to help Khushi, itself shows, that maybe somewhere he wanted her to stay. Which she did. Hopefully, they met again, this time in a park, in broad daylight.. To never separate. :)

P.S: This update reminded me of the song 'In lamhon ke daman mein' from Jodha akbhar. :)

Sigh. He left. And yet I cannot fault him. She offered, he took. He gave, she claimed. Two lonely, lost people found comfort in the most primitive way possible and now I hope, just maybe they will find each other again - and I dare hope because SHE won't give up and he won't be able to see her even close to surrender

My heart was positively failing when she had the pistol to her head, Anu. I don't know if I approve of such extreme displays but I shudder to think feeling can overwhelm you THAT much. That is as raw as it gets. I didn't expect her to pull the trigger. I wanted, I really wanted him to stop her. And yet, if he had, I am sure I would have been disappointed, maybe even scoffed - so kudos on the characterisation. And then, I should have known there would be no bullets - that made so much sense.

Whatever the above sequence, it just reaffirms that death, near death, and solitude push us closer to another human being and so glad that they found each other at the time.

I am a fan of open endings too. Life is rarely tied up in a neat little bow and you have showed just how beautifully you can still smile without closure!

Brilliant writing Anu. If this was your anniversary gift to yourself - it is the best gift anyone can give themselves!

What can say Anu- the last part, in fact the whole story is so brilliant in conception and execution, it is perfect. The lovers finally giving in to their love, a meeting that has led to parting. An act of creation or an act of destruction - what have they done to themselves? The second part was so moving.

You've left it open and yet not left us without hope. I loved the ending depite desperately wanting Arnav to come back to her.

Thank you for such a beautiful story! I wish the writer in you a whole lifetime of creating such amazing stories.

Well, if this has you hooked, then MUST read the rest of her beautiful stories. Just know that they will live in your heart, not in any dramatic or earth shattering, way, but in a gentle way, giving an extra dimension to your perspectives on life, people, relationships.

She is also of the most self-deprecating writers I have met on this forum. But then that is what makes her so, so special.

I just read the second part, and I have to agree- you're a fabulous writer, and you should have faith in yourself because this is amazing! The trigger scene was terrifying- for a second there, I actually thought he would let her die- for just a second, I completely hated him for saying such a thing. But you turned it completely around. Wonderful job!

P.S: Do you have a recommendation for which one I should read first?
