Inside the house

Rey followed taani and closed the door behind him. she walked in and turned to him

"rey" she began looking relieved and uncomfortable together," sorry ki..."

Rey moved to stand in front of her and placed his finger on her lips shutting her up," taani,listen" and placing his hand on her shoulder made her sit on the sofa behind, while he himself kneeled down on the floor in level with her eyes and removed his fingers from her lips,she looked at him

" sorry sab bohot hogaya, tumhaara bhi mera bhi. Aaj ke liye i think its enough. Just forget everything and relax. I know ki tum busy rahin ho, tumhaara project, phir wedding aur yeh fest sab kuch...aur phir mera bhi yahaan suddenly aana...its too much. Agar kuch baat karni hain, we ll talk later on " he got up ," okay"

She instinctively held his arm and asked," aap phir se kahaan jaa rahen ho?" he placed his other hand on hers

"kahin nahin , relax . i ll be back" and removing her hand from his arm, patting her head moved away.

Taani sitting on the sofa , quietly, wiping her eyes , her feelings and thoughts muddled - hey krishnaji , main itni confused kyun hoon...mujhe wapas rey ke paas nahin jaana hain ...main jaanthi hoon...par jab wo hote hain tho sab kuch badal jaata hain, sab kuch different lagtha hain ... aur jab wo nahin the tab life kitna empty hojaatha hain and swallowed, showing again how scared she had got.she shook her head ...nahin taani. Stop . phir se nahin

" ye lo" rey held a glass of water. She took it with a smile and drank, placed the glass on the table and looked at him "aap kahaan gaye the?"

"bas aise hi ...not far, actually end of the road trying to cool off " their eyes met," taani..." he began, " itna concern hain , tumhaare feelings itne clear hain tho phir kyun mana karrahin ho?" he desperately tried to convince her. She had her head bent and didnt answer. Sighing, he took both her hands which were on her lap in his and squeezed them.

Mobile rang loud next to her , both looked at the noise and at each other. She didnt receive it and a message beeped. She indicated that she had to receive it and he let her hand go unwillingly. She saw the message and frowned .

"rey, aapki phone off haina?"

"haan kal se, can i borrow your charger? "

" aashi ne msg kiya hain ki Vicky aapko poochrahe the"

"okay.." saw the watch," kal baat karloonga, dinner nahin karoge?" he asked

"nahin bhook nahin hain"

" why? Kal tho itna kuch khaa rahin thi?" he smiled," im hungry," and seeing taani looking thoughtful eyebrows raised

"apne aashi ko bataya ki aap yahaan aane waale ho? aur bhai ko nahin" she asked looking thoughtful

"not really ,yahaan aane ke baad realise hua ki mujhe tumhaara address pata nahin hain aur swayam...i mean i don't know ki swayam kaise react kartha tho...aashi se help li..she was sweet about it "

Taani s eyebrows went up," achha! isiliye aap aashi ke saath the ?" she asked with a hint of smile

"tumhe kaise pata? Aashi ne bataya? That was bas ek drama"

"phir bhi aashi tho sweet hain" she imitated him

"okay. Tho tum jealous ho?" he started playing along grinning at her

"jealous aur main?" she got up ," mujhe aap par poora vishwas hain"

He got up and facing her," why? Why vishwas and all? Meri koi girlfriend nahin hosakthi? Hamara tho breakup hogaya haina?" he asked challengingly," main tho single tha...hoon"

She looked caught but recovering herself replied," mera wo matlab nahin tha" he smiled teasingly and folded his hands across his chest,nodded," i meant ki mujhe pata hain ki aashi bhai main interested hain tho aap uske saath nahin honge" and turning moved to the kitchen avoiding him. he smiled as he followed her . she continued," but yeh sab - aashi ka aur aapka sab ...wo secret admirer tha kaun? "

"wo , that was shar..." he blurted out and stopped . she waited near the chair for him to continue , he fumbled and mentally cursed that he couldn't tell her " umm.. shayad mere liye nahin tha ..umm..." and sat down to eat not meeting her eyes

She realised that he was hiding something , stared at him and sitting down in front of him , didnt speak.

" why suddenly quiet?" he asked as he served both of them

" kuch nahin. aaj do baar aapne mujse kuch chupaya ..abhi abhi secret admirer ke baare mein aur music video ke baare mein bhi...i mean its okay but bas bura laga ki aap mujhse apne baat share nahin karsakthe" her face showing signs of dullness again

Rey placed his hand on hers across the table and said," taani jo mera secret nahin hain wo main tumhe nahin bata saktha. Trust me, mere baare mein tum sab jaanthi ho"

"its okay rey, i trust you" she placed her hand on his and met his eye, warming to the love in his eyes.

Mobile rang again breaking the eyelock and by the time taani took her hand back and picked it up...
