Rey felt like a huge rock descended on him," par kyun?"

"kyun matlab? Rey jab main Mumbai chodrahin thi tab yeh saare baatein hamne karliye hain , phir se yeh sab...kya faayda sab puraane cheezon ke baare mein baat karne ka" she moved to the table , setting her dishes and plates on it, her tone cross.

"koi aur hain?" Taani looked at him for a second not understanding," matlab theres someone else in your life?"

"rey!" she gave him a frustrated look

" nahin ,tumne hi kahaan tha mujhse ki mujhe move on karna chahiye, pehle jaisa rehna chahiye etc., etc.," rey continued sarcasm dripping from his words," so agar hain, tumhaare life mein koi aur hain , tho boldo taaki main tumhe irritate..."

"rey!! Stop it. " closed her eyes for a second, opened them ," nahin hain koi bhi" He had known there was no one else but he still couldn't help feeling glad that she said that,"khush?"

"nahin " he replied, she had finished her work with the dinner table and stood frustrated.he continued, " taani, itna aasaan nahin hain , not for you or me, tho phir ..."

She cut him short " Aur maine aap se kahaan tha ki ab meri life mein sirf meri career hain bas." he looked like he wanted to shake her up," in sab baat se koi use nahin hain, so drop it rey. Aap dinner karenge?"

"par kyun ? mujhe ek ek difficult din horahaan hain...and its just getting worse aur tum ..."

"aap hi sab kuch hard banarahein ho . main khush hoon , mera ek goal hain aur ..."

"oh shut up taani, tumhaari khushi ...goal...yeh" he pointed to the four different dishes on the table angrily...her face changed and anger took over

"jabse aaye ho tabse aap mere khaane ke peche kyun pade ho? aapko yahaan aane ki zaroorat kya thi? Maine tho bhulaaya nahin tha na? Aap chahthe kya ho? " her voice raising. He moved to her side quickly and attempted to hold her hand, she didnt give him a chance but moved away quicker than him , "aapko mere dance na karne se problem hain, mere khaane se problem hain, pata nahin aur kya kya...tho aap mere saath kyun rehna chahthe ho?just let it be " she stopped to take a breath, she had been talking angrily waving her hands all over, not a drop of tear falling out of her eyes. he didnt know what to reply, she continued," rey main aapse fight karthi hoon tho mujhe hi bura lagtha hain, please lets not fight, jo hua its over.."

"its not..." he interrupted," taani tumne hi kahaan ki tumne itne saare mistakes ki hain life mein, tho kya tum mere ek mistake ko itna punish karogi? Mujhe chodo, tum mere mistake ka punishment khudh ko kyun de rahin ho? teek hain yaar hogayi galthi , ab main kya karoon..."smiling slightly she shook her head, hands across her chest again, but didnt answer," kya? Tum smile kyun karrahin hoon?" she didnt reply making him get more angry ," what? bolo? Tum bologe nahin tho ..."

"exactly rey, main boloongi nahin tho aap kabhi samjenge nahin" she smiled wistfully , " pehle tho yeh sab aapki galthi ki baare mein nahin hain, aapki koi galthi bhi nahin hain rey.." he opened his mouth but she continued ," yeh mere baare mein hain" stressing on mere and met his eyes. he felt another wave of guilt wash over , his face mirroring his understanding- she was right, she had never blamed him for the reason for his fake break up, she had understood ,...but she had changed, it was about her now, her feelings and aspirations ... he still couldn't let her go ...he just strongly felt that she needed him as much as he needed her.

She took the opportunity of his silence to walk back to the dinner table, sit on the chair and pull the plate towards her," main serve karoon?" all his thinking and reasoning vanished at her assumed normalcy

"NAHIN!" walking to her side," AUR TUM BHI YEH CONVERSATION COMPLETE KARO PEHLE!" she was slightly taken aback at his raising voice but her anger level itself was high.

"FINE!" She got up and faced him," mere taraf se job hi kehna tha wo sab hochuka hain teen mahine pehle , aapko jo bolna hain bolo" he looked at her wondering if he hadn't already finished telling her - why were they going in circles?? On him not replying , she took one deep breath and said " rey, aap yahaan aaye kyun? jo bhi ache feelings baaki hain hamaare beech wo sab kuch spoil mat keejiye..."

"right" he cut her off still in anger his voice not even attempting to hide his irritation ," u r right... i shouldn't have come...so im leaving and " he moving to the end of the room where his backpack was lying ,he picked it up forcefully . She followed him with her eyes confused at his sudden change in behaviour," so..ya...i am leaving, thanks for letting me stay..." he went to the door

"rey mera wo ma ..." taani

"and thanks...see you...nahin actually...bye...enjoy your dinner ...alone " and opened the door, walked out and banged the door back.
