That was quite a chapter. I wonder what arnav is really up to. He obviously knows khushi is married and yet he allows the infidelity. I doubt shyam and khushi's marriage is even close to good otherwise why would khushi resort to dancing at a cheap bar to earn a living. Great update and congratz on thread 2.

Their desire for each other was too strong for Arnav and Khushi not to succumb to it... these two souls are so lonely and broken that connecting, even if it is merely on a physical level must have come as a relief, however temporary! Khushi's conflicted emotions are understandable because, with the kind of past Arnav has and with his trust issues, it is doubtful that this relationship has any future. Khushi yearning to be treated with love and respect is a poignant moment. Arnav's actions and words indicate that for him it's just a slaking of physical needs, though I do get the feeling that that might not be entirely true... hopefully a bit of his heart is also involved, apart from the hidden agenda he has: Looking at her face with her eyes tightly shut, something flickered on his face but just for a second. Neither fully trusts the other but their passions just overwhelms them... their coming together is explosive, almost scorching the page, yet aesthetically presented... the passion unleashed, especially the trail of clothes to the bedroom, reminds me of those Hollywood films / English serials. Wonder if his scars are burn scars or ones of torture... he was acquitted wasn't he? So this couldn't have happened in prison... could it be due to war injuries... so many questions, so few answers! She knew it was impossible and even foolish but just then she wished she had a future to look forward to. A future with him. She wished, wished with an intensity that almost took her breath away that she was not who she was now, he was not who he was now and that they had met before much before in time, when life wasn't so dark, so warped, so complicated for both of them... heart-rending! She seems to have fallen for him more deeply than he has for her, or at least he has been able to control or hide his true feelings a bit more effectively. Both seem to be hiding behind a facade, with each having his / her own motives for pursuing this relationship'. The whole rifling through the mail reminds one of those undercover ops or spy scenes. Shyam Manohar Jha... no wonder Arnav was contemptuous of Khushi is confirmation that she lives alone... shades of his wife's betrayal, if that is what it was... could she have been murdered by someone else and the trial, etc. been a set-up for his undercover mission? Arnav might want to harden his heart against Khushi but he immediately catching her when she stumbles and then the scorching kiss says he's not immune... his heart is caught... typical struggle between heart and mind!

Am confused: is Shyam the government spy or is Arnav? Is one of them a traitor or a double agent [Shyam, possibly, if that cruel glint in his eyes is anything to go by], with Khushi as the means to get info? Also, is Khushi also an undercover agent or just a pawn in this game of wits between two ruthless men? Does Inspector Khan mean to say that all those murders have been made to look like the work of a sociopathic serial killer but are actually something else? Is it related to all the espionage going on? Is Khushi really married to Shyam or is this an undercover assignment for both... why is she so scared of him? Typical spy thriller with so many unanswered questions!
