All eyes in the office of Agnihotri Associates had a horrified look in them as the tall , lean man strode past them , each one of them wondering if they were going to be at the receiving end that day. For when Shlok Agnihotri was angry , someone was destined to have a bad day. Some of them wondered whether his anger was directed at the group that had come in earlier that day.

"I want all the paper works done by tomorrow , no delay in that. You should contact " Neena never got to complete her sentence as just then , the door on her left flew open , admitting in the man she was about to mention.

"What the bloody hell is this?" Shlok said in a deadly tone.

"Good morning, Mr. Agnihotri , we were waiting for you" Neena smiled , knowing very well it was wasted on the fuming man before her.

No wonder Astha calls him a fire breathing dragon Neena chuckled to herself.

"How dare you think of taking over my company?" Shlok raised his voice, his eyes spitting fire.

"Mr. Agnihotri let me tell you something. Your tone and anger might work with your hapless employees but with me they are useless. I have got a much more rigid spine than the women you have met so far" Neena said, her lips a thin line. She did not entertain arrogant men.

Shlok was stumped. Neena had neither raised her voice nor shown any facial sign of anger. The steely edge to her voice was enough to strike anyone dumb.

"Now shall we proceed to the conference room? I am sure you will receive all your answers there" Neena smiled brightly at him.

Shlok nodded once and beckoned Suresh who had come with him to follow him. He was truly baffled as to how Astha and Neena had managed this. On getting the news in the morning that his event management company was over taken by them in just three days he almost dropped his tea cup. He had stared a good two minutes at Suresh before finding his voice. Even then he had croaked orders to Suresh. It was during the car ride, while thinking how his tracking of Astha's moves had failed, that he managed to get angry. No one had duped him thus, no man had succeeded and now two relatively new business women had!

Walking into the conference room Shlok was greeted by a musical laughter.

Four years later he thought. Despite his anger a small smile crept on his lips. Only to be wiped out seconds later by the site that met his eyes. Astha was laughing, but at something an English looking man sitting beside her was telling. One of her hands was placed on his arm resting on the table. His board of directors present in the room were also laughing with them

"Sorry to break up the party people, but we have company " Neena said to the room at large.

At once all of them stopped showing any signs of mirth. Every man in the Agnihotri board looked uncomfortable. Asthas gaze was arctic, but the man beside her had an amused smile on his face. Shlok glared a little longer at him which only made him smile wider.

"Thank you for coming Mr. Shlok Agnihotri. Sorry for the short notice" Astha said with a tight smile "Please take a seat."

Shlok had a good mind to retort but he held back. He was being ordered about in his own office. That too by a woman who years ago had quivered before him.

Neena showed Shlok and Suresh their seats and took her own on Astha's left.

"Mr. Agnihotri let me first introduce you to Kevin Alistair. The owner of Agnihotri associates" Neena said pointing to the man on Astha's left.

"Glad to meet you Mr.Agnihotri" Kevin said in British accent , smiling at Shlok "I have heard quiet a lot about you" his eyes twinkled at this.

"I am sure you have seeing that you have taken over my company" Shlok said , giving an icy glare to his board members many of squirmed visibly.

"Ah! He is exactly as you described him Astha" Kevin said cheerfully to Astha who gave a quick smile.

"Mr. Alistair if you are the one who bought my company then what are

Miss Deshmukh and Mrs" Shlok stopped at his slip "Sorry Miss. Kirloskar doing here"

"They are my partners and also major shareholders in my company Mr. Agnihotri. I don't do anything without my girls" Kevin replied , winking at Astha and Neena who smiled back.

Shlok was irritated by this. Astha never smiled at him this cordially.

Yeah right she will, after what you made her go through a voice inside him nagged.

"Mr. Agnihotri , now as you know , we that is Twinkling Stars owns sixty per cent shares in Agnihotri Associates now. What we want to know is if you want to sell your share and move out or would you like to continue as a partner" Astha asked him keeping steady eye contact with him.

Shlok saw no evident emotions in her usually clear eyes. Astha , this whole new Astha meant business. The tone of her voice suggested that she would like to buy his shares as well and oust him. But Shlok Agnihotri wasn't one to give up easily. He wanted to know how this Astha was born and to what extent she will ignore their past.

"I would like to remain Miss.Kirloskar" he stated.

Astha exchanged a glance with Neena. He had reacted as she had expected. Shlok Agnihotri never gave up easily. He had gone to extreme lengths to torture her for the mistake of being born as a woman. He had scarred her for life emotionally. She would think ten time at least before ever again falling in love , she had fallen too low in love. She had left him walk all over her. If he thought that he would again get to do that, she would give him a well-deserved lesson this time.

Astha was walking towards the parking area of Agnihotri Associates when she was suddenly pulled into a room.

"What the bloody hell do you think you are doing?" she screamed at Shlok.

"That's what I would like to know as well. What are you doing?" Shlok asked , not letting go of her arm.

"Excuse me , are we delusional much Mr. Shlok Agnihotri?" Astha sneered at him.

"I think you are obsessed with me Miss. Astha. Taking over the first company in which you worked for me and now taking over my company" Shlok smirked back.

"You really think the world revolves around you don't you Shlok. I think you are being forgetful. My life related to you stopped they day I walked out of you accursed Anjali Nivas." Astha replied

"Then tell me why you are still married to me. Why haven't you applied for a divorce?" Shlok asked

Astha stared at him for a minute. That was a question she had no answer to. But she wasn't letting him know that.

"Some scars do not heal easily Mr. Shlok. But believe me I am going to stitch up that wound soon" she said, her eyes showing determination.

Shlok knew not why his heart constricted at her words.

This is to tell you guys that this will be my last update for a while. I am doing my third year in MBBS and my exam is approaching, meaning I need to get back to my books. I hope you guys will understand. Meanwhile enjoy this update.
