Res
Another brilliant update, you know hats off to you for writing about a period and a culture which is purely from your knowledge and imagination and still get it just right. All the details, the clothes, the ambience, the frustration of the youth, the rituals and relationship, the feelings, the habits of people from the socio economic background that your protagonist are, the generation gap, the rebellious nature prevalent those days...it is truly like being transported back to those times through the authenticity, clarity and vivid descriptions.

The opening para set the tone for me and how, it was the backbone for the rest of the update. His state of mind, the layers of emotions and depth of feeling portrayed left me speechless...
Khushi's awareness as she steps into the brink of womanhood, leaving behind her doll symbolic for her steps away from her childhood.
Their relationship portrayed so sensitively and beautifully, you have to love Arnab. Clearly his feelings and respect so high for her, her happiness coming to mean so much to him. The relationship growing into something so much more slowly and steadily. One that has now formed a bond of mutual regard, fondness and friendship. From the little girl who he was indifferent to, maybe easily annoyed by and now he cannot stop thinking of her, the way she affects him...his restless about her happiness and there future...just beautiful.,

I love how she hero worships him and if he is fearful of something then it affects her...for he can never be wrong, he knows everything, I loved how he feels he can talk and communicate it her and share with her his fears and feelings...love that she and he communicate about meaningful things and he can in that aspect treat her as an equal..loved that if he could he would cease the moment the look in his eyes full of emotion(love) for her, which he knows she will not comprehend now, but he feels it, and he wants her to remember that for later! Such a pure emotion !

Loved the scene with his father, it was so true to their characters and beleifs..I loved it. His dilemma about waking Khushi up and letting her know, loved how he always thinks of her.
Loved her sense of loss and fear as soon as she realises his absence. She has developed an emotional connect to him way before she met him and now that has developed into more with time and developments between them!
I loved him caring enough to want to explain and run behind her to talk to her I loved her being free enough with him to feel anger, pain and betrayal ...and his awareness of all that...loved how she holds onto him for dear life and lets all that out by her tears!
Waiting eagerly for the next update, especially given the teaser!

Wonderful update
So arnav and Khushi will be separated now ? Isn't every wife supposed to stay with her husband rather than living in his own house without him
I wish Arnav take her too with him and live their own life

That was beautiful! A little peek into the fight for freedom - made me nostalgic - was reminded of the history studying in my school years, a long time back!
But this was very typical at that time - the youngsters favored action and the elders like Arnab's father were torn in the middle of their family and the British.
I appreciate the amount of research you have done for this story. It is very difficult to right a period story with so much accuracy! Excellent work on that!
I wonder what will happen to our couple now? Will they both join the independence movement?

aww that was really beautifully written, i loved the scene near the river...update fast, can't want till the next update, i wonder what arnab would do, take khushi with him, or leave her, or come back, i know he won't come back as his ego would hurt, but hope it won't leave her behind, i don't want pranab to get close to khushi in his absence...

So much happened in this update... Arnav and Khushi's conversation near the river was nice. I was also surprised with Khushi's knowledge of the situation in Calcutta. I feared something bad was about to happen when Arnav asked Khushi to remember the situation. He left his dad's house. But he came back to talk to Khushi.

Oh, I am very relieved the teaser you had mentioned few days back when Arnav says he is old for her was not in serious sense. He was tired of running behind her. That's why he said the statement. Nice update.
