You have captured the mood of the educated youth...in the independence movement..

To be with Gandhi... Or to be with revolutionaries who were more in favour of violence.. Bengali what I remember was more in favor of netaji sub hash Chandra Bose...

It was impossible for Arnav not to feel involved in this process..

I hope he becomes a doctor... The separation is coming..but for how long..if Arnav runs away and becomes a revolutionary the story can turn either way because a lot of people did lose lives in the freedom movement..

Oh Jenny! I'm loving this beautiful story so much.

Quoting my two most favourite parts from this update,

"Today she stands on the brink of womanhood, where she is neither a child nor a woman. A short lived twilight phase to gently transition the innocent brightness of a day into the intriguing beauty of a starry night. I can be the catalyst to this transition, but do I want to be?"

"One day when you are older, remember this sunset and this breeze, remember these old steps and that boatman's song, but most of all remember what you see in my eyes today..".

I think I shall this story by these words, Jenny. They have such power...so much emotion in them. The whole story settles in them. You really have a way with words which comes to surface the most in this story.

I sensed a little separation when I read the 2nd quote. But oh so much love it has. I think I teared up a bit.

Sighs. Very little faith I had in Gandhi to begin with. Wish he didn't have all the power that he was bestowed upon with. There are are certain things which just cannot be gained by maintaining peace and with non-violence. Aggression is needed. It was always needed in this country. Even today. In right doses, and at right places.

P.S.- I'm still in awe of the banner. Suits the story so much.
