Swara Bhaskar..someone who dared to say it out loud #respect
aha here we catch a glimpse of Akash as a student...Akash was one who was never explored or much defined in ipk...
Sakshi and Arnav are both mirror images it seems - so its a 'she'ASR 😉while Abhi and Aman are mirror images 😃so what will be the convo between sakshi and akashdoes she know about khushi??well eagerly awaiting the next update...thanx for the pm...pls continue soon 😃
Hehe. I love your comments Amu. Pretty bang on mostly. She's not exactly what you think she is. But that will come out more later. I've been dying to say this, so I will, there are small clues here and there as to what may be going on. Have you heard of the Myers Briggs personality types? I'm really into that stuff, and it's a great model to explain people's core personalities. Maybe later, I will type all the characters so that we understand where they're coming from better. To give credit to the writers of the show, Arnav and Khushi have always been bang on based on their personality type (which is easy to figure out if you know the typing system well). Even when they storyline sucked in the serial, the characters were always in sync with themselves. I guess that's why it was such an awesome show! 😃
yes i have heard about Myers Briggs personality types but never thought that arshi can be cast into one 😃...i know about MBPT only on a theoretical basis and not experienced it being put to actual use...anyway the point is I'm surprised that this is one of the reasons for their sync onscreen ... so it wud be interesting to know how MBPT works on our ipk characters...eagerly awaiting the next update...pls continue soon 😃ps finally some theoretical reasoning for their perfect sync 😉
I read an interesting MBTI analysis on Arshi on myeduniya a while back. Anyhoo, Arnav and Khushi, personality wise are total polar opposites. He is an INTJ, introvert, thinking, strategist, decisive, and she is an ESFP, extrovert, emotional, flighty. That's why they clashed so much. Everything about them is different, from the way they make decisions, to how they see the world. You add their backgrounds and core values to the pot, and it's just an explosive mix. But of so fun to watch! 😃
hmmm...this is quite an interesting theory...in that case it also implies the theory that opposite poles attract...is it not ??
Chapter 8: Cashing In
"So have you called to beg and grovel at my feet begging my forgiveness?" Her teasing voice brought him out his day-dreaming. He smiled. She always had had a killer instinct. "Yes, that's exactly why I called." She started chortling, but after hearing only silence on the other line, she came to a hush. "You aren't joking? Wow, you're not joking. Aakash, you don't need to..." "Saakshi, hear me out for a second. No, I'm not calling only to beg for forgiveness. I'm also calling because I have a proposition for you."
Saakshi knew the minute she heard his voice on the line, why he called, and having her suspicion confirmed, she smiled contently. She was no novice to the world of business, and her experience from two years ago had taught her a valuable lesson: know thy enemy. She was aware of the current state of AR industries, Abhi made sure all relevant news reached her ears. AR needed some strong deals, and soon. But, again, no novice to business, she held her tongue, and waited for Aakash to continue. But little did she know, this was no ordinary business deal.
"Saakshi," Aakash started. And then he stalled, doubts picking away at his mind. Payal had advised him to be honest with Saakshi and let the chips fall where they may. After all, this wasn't exactly a business deal. As much as it may benefit the two companies, the priority for the Raizadas was not the business deal, and Payal felt that Saakshi should come into the deal knowing the full picture. But intuition had never been Aakash's strong point, and doubt was always lurking around the corner. He bit his lip, gave himself two seconds to decide, and then veered from the decided course of action. "Saakshi, I know it's been two years since our last interaction, but I wanted to see if you were still open to considering what we had originally discussed." Saakshi smiled. They needed her, she knew that. And although that normally didn't influence her decisions, she had a soft corner for Aakash, love for a crazy collection, and an old score to settle. "Two years is a long time Aakash," she started. Aakash sighed. It wasn't going to be that easy. The personal boundary would have to be breached, atleast a little bit.
"Ok, I'll be honest with you. The past two years haven't been great, not just for AR, but for the Raizada family as a whole. We've had some family issues we've been dealing with, and in the process, AR has been a bit on the back burner. Nothing drastic, we're still in good shape, but we really need to pick things up a notch." Saakshi was not surprised. Aakash had always been forthright, she had expected that from him this time too. But personal issues? She didn't remember hearing about any personal family issues from Abhi's news updates. "Bhai, is temperamental and rash sometimes. We still did plan on launching the collection with Satyam only, but then other situations came up, and it just fell off the priority list. We actually haven't launched that collection yet." Saakshi grew thoughtful, wondering what was wrong in the Raizada family. "And this time, everything will be ok? Your ASR is on board two years later?" Aakash felt heat creep up his face, knowing that there was a difficult road ahead. "Don't worry about that. We'll take care of it. I wanted to check if you were interested before we picked this up again." Saakshi was intrigued. This was not the way one normally did business. So ASR is still not on board, she mused in her head, and then smirked. Good, she thought. What would be the fun in that? "And your family situation...is sorted?" she asked Aakash. He stalled again. This would be the time to open up and tell her the truth. To tell her what happened two years ago, and to tell her that ASR was now a shell of a man. He couldn't bring himself to jeopardize it. He knew that she was probably well aware of where AR stood in the business world, but completely unaware of ASR's personal battles. For as good as Abhi was with finding news, Aman was even better at suppressing it. Aman Mathur, AR Design's general manager and ASR's fiercely loyal aide had made sure that no news slipped out about Khushi's disappearance or the shifting tides at AR Designs. The company was still surviving on ASR's reputation. And Aakash feared that Saakshi would not join forces with AR Designs if she knew that the ASR no longer remained the formidable power he once was. And so, again, he took the easy way out.
"We're working on it. It shouldn't affect our professional capacity and capabilities." Saakshi leaned back in her chair. Remember that killer instinct she has? Well, it kicked in at that moment. There's more to the story here, she thought. Her mind was racing a mile a minute. Something told her that all was not right. "Saakshi, at some point Satyam needs to come to India. You know that's the next logical step. Why not with AR? You loved the collection, we still have it. On top of that, AR Designs will be a tremendous resource and support to Satyam. I know there were some initial issues, but once we're all on the same page, it'll be perfect." She smirked. So Aakash had done his homework too. Time to strike, she decided. "I will have to consider this, Aakash. A lot can change in two years. But I will give you three things to ponder. Firstly, I am interested, I always was and if it had gone my way, we'd be toasting with champagne from the top of the Qutub Minar at this point. Secondly, you pull the same stunt on me again, and I will make sure I have every lawyer in India crowding your doorstep with every suit imaginable. It will be bad Aakash, like burnt toast bad. Irreversible, get it? We go ahead with this, and you cannot back out on me. If it comes to that again, I will destroy you." Aakash was surprised. He knew she could be tough but he had never been on the receiving side of it. Even two years ago, she had gracefully retreated, miffed at ASR for sure, but had all smiles for him. "Last condition, ASR has to be not only on board, but involved. This is not just about a collection, it's a merger between two big fashion houses. I will not get involved if the CEO of AR Designs does not demonstrate some serious commitment for this project." Aakash slumped over his desk in relief. He knew now, that she would say yes. "Yes, of-course. Everything you pointed out is valid, Bhai will definitely have to be involved, in-fact we have the pitch this afternoon, now that I know you're interested we can move ahead." "Of-course it's valid, I said it, didn't I," she responded. "You go do what you need to Aakash, and I will let you know what I decide." The phone call ended, and Saakshi glared at the phone. "Bloody Arnav Singh Raizada," she muttered. Almost unwillingly, a small smile crossed her lips. Let the games begin, she thought.
Many many miles away, back in Arshi land, Aakash had the same thought flash through his head. Let the games begin, he thought. He stared at the phone, now back on its cradle, and thought to himself. Welcome Saakshi Tanwar, to our convoluted lives.
