Kasam Se Banta Rishta ~ Ssharad Malhotra x Shivani Tomar Five-Shot
Hi Jenny,
I am done with all my travelling and caught on my sleep and things at home. And finally, finally caught up on this story.👍🏼
First I want to say "Thank You"🤗 for starting a new story before ALS ends, I am already dreading saying good bye to ALS and then not having anything to read from you would have been even tougher.
I am already in love with this story, there is such earthiness to it and with short prologue I was already in pre freedom days. This story also makes me very nostalgic, because the backdrop of the story, child marriage is very close to my heart. As a kid in school we had lessons about child marriage and I was completely shaken when I read it and it affected me a lot. I participated in lots of writing and elocution competitions on this topic. I still cringe and get angry when I read about girls being married at a young age, not given an opportunity to enjoy childhood and forced to grow up. Sorry I digressed and got carried away.
3 chapters and the characters, the locations, the haveli, the roads, the garden, mango trees are already etched in my mind. Absolutely loving Arnab's character, his anger and energy is directed towards the right causes of freedom fight and child marriage. Thami is adorable and absolutely glad that Khushi has her and her affections. I feel for Khushi and I want to cry for her..poor soul. She is caught in a rock and hard place; she is a child but is being forced to grow up and be a woman and how so innocently she wants to become a woman, just because she wants to be with Arnab and be a good wife to him.
How cruel are Parbati and Aparna to send young Khushi to Arnab's room? I think Aparna is desperate, she has no control over her husband and the unforgivable and immoral acts of his but in her own way she is doing everything in her control to stop Arnab following the path of his father. But to protect Khushi will Arnab really tread on it?
