Thanks Jules! yeah, the charges were never a problem...and like you said, it was how Khushi and arnav would deal with it that was more of an issue...I love how you already know that Khushi will be the one who'll fight for both of them! hehe...Arnav is very predictable at this point. 😉 Sadly, the next update might be a day or two late...I'm hoping to update around Thursday...I'll try my best for Wednesday though...😳

i think many of ur readers have the same view point about khushi. I mean, many of us thought that khushi would behave supportive. but still, its very hard to be by the side of one person who is somehow responsible for a major destruction of ur life. Bravo Khushi!!! Hats Off!!

I could see, she wanted to run to the hospital in the night itself if tht was possible... and the way she reacted to kripa, wooowww i was impressed with the change in her...

loved the scene when she entered the hospital room in the morning... thankfully Arnav wasnt in his shell, not yet...

Hey swati! No worries first page or not, I know you're one of my most consistent readers and I truly appreciate that!😳

Khushi's strength and trust at this point is compensating Arnav's lack thereof. she has been filling the gaps in his characters since the beginning...his hesitancy to take things forward with their relationship...after the wedding and right now...Arnav's inability to put things in words and much more. Like I've mentioned a few times before this, she has emerged as a strong and independent woman, where as Arnav has become emotionally vulnerable...now they have to work towards finding a healthy balance again and this case is supposed to trigger the idea that Arnav should really try letting go of the past and move on like Khushi has.

If Priya has woken up the demons in Arnav, fikar not..With Khushi's help, Arnav shall put them back to sleep...maybe for good this time.😉 I mean, living with Khushi for the next few days will definitely, hopefully, be helpful...maybe he'll become more comfortable and start forgiving himself slowly.😳

Next update on Wednesday (hopefully)...if not then definitely on Thursday!😃

Yeah...can't expect him to forget...maybe with time he'll remember less frequently but for now, the memories come back at the smallest triggers...seeing Priya starkly reminded him of Khushi...She is indeed his pillar of strength and she shall continue to be just that. :) eventually they'll find the balance.

Arnav thinking about Khushi while seeing that girl was natural. He can't feel good right now when he knows Khushi was in the same condition, actually more worse all because of him.
He has taken few steps back after the incident, after coming face to face with Priya but I'm sure that him being with Khushi would heal the old wounds and they will move forward. 😊😊

Yeap! you can take calming breaths for now.😃😆 They are in this together and even if Arnav tried to step back, Khushi will make sure to keep him in his place. She has seen a ray of hope and she's not about to let anyone take it away, even if its him. Exactly, its important for him to realize that Khushi has effectively locked away the painful memories in order to assure a better future and that he needs to do the same...he cant keep bringing his past into the present and ruin a shot at a happy future. and like I said...though he has taken steps back, Khushi will drag him back in his place.😆😆 Time heal all wounds, some slower than others, quicker for some people than other but it will eventually work its magic...Khushi is a catalyst for Arnav who will make sure that the healing happens a tad bit faster.😳

yes, it is...but its only natural for him to feel that way...he did something he never wanted to in an intoxicated state and it cost him the love of his life..his guilt has no limits, sadly...but just like in the previous part, Khushi will continue to support him until he's ready to deal with this on his own.

Wow the update was amazing, yet quite emotional as well as heart breaking.

Loved the talk between Kripa and Khushi it was awesome, loved the advice Kripa offered her it was really refreshing and just what Khushi wanted to hear to ease her mind.

Honestly it bought a tear my eye when I read the girl walked in and she was so over whelmed and distraught, I'm glad she told the inspector Arnav was her saviour.

Arnav's reaction was as expected he turned into such a vulnerable person and started to retreat but I'm glad Khushi did not give up on her support.

Wow loved the promises Khushi made Arnav agree to, he had to agree to the first but I wonder why he could not agree to the second one.

Really felt bad for Arnav.. I am sure even if he tries enough he wont be ever able to get out of these nightmares... That coz he genuinely realises his crime and is ashamed of his act. You're right...I know I wouldn't have forgiven him...but you'd be surprised how many women overlook these heinous acts of their husbands because like I stated in my note with that chapter..in some countries..if your husband rapes you...its not considered rape and he's not punished for it legally...its ridiculous.

Having said that...this is a work of fiction...and I'm solely basing his forgiveness on the benefit of doubt that he wouldn't have done what he did had he been sober AND because of all the guilt he's dealt with...circumstances make people do things they would never do and sometimes...SOMETIMES...they deserve a second chance...most law systems work on that principle...they punish them in the hope that the punishment will change them and make them better citizens...not that I agree with that statement at all..lol.

and that's exactly what he needs to do...stop letting the past effect the present so that they can aim for a better future...there is no way to change the past...and he has changed...for the most part...Arnav was never this vulnerable before...and he will never be guilt free...he just needs to be able to heal to the point where he's able to feel guilty without tainting his present with Khushi.😳

Khushi was also expecting and anticipated his state of mind and reaction and did't want him to retreat into his shell and she did try hard but taking him to her house is the best decision she has taken, being together for a long period of time will help and if Khushi is determined, which I think she is Arnav will again get over what happened.
Poor Arnav... I really felt for him when he faced a devastated Priya and that took him back in past and he saw all that happened in technicolor but Khushi was there and knew exactly what he was feeling.

Yeap, its a promise! I shall give you tons of ArHi moments..the happy, the sad, the romantic...all of them.😳 Khushi has an idea of how Arnav reacts in these situations...she has seen him go through it so she's aware and she's willing to help him out of it...I agree with you in the sense that asking him to live with them is one of the best decisions she's taken.😉 Spending more time with each other in a normal day to day life is bound to help...even if you were dating...its always different living together...it increases understanding of each other and also builds intimacy inevitably. Eventually the two will come to a point where they're able to look back on the past and NOT fall apart in the present...but that will come with time.😳

Now coming to Khushi..the way you have built her character is flawless!! there is not a single thing I would change about her and how I wish that the creatives of the show had portrayed Khushi the way you have. She's a strong woman, who lives true to her name despite the hardships of life. She's a today's woman! Strong, independent and beautiful! Amber and Aditya are the two perfect angels every parent wishes for and I really hope my little one grows up to be like them! he's only six months old right now so I got lots of time to make him turn out like Aditya! hehe

Another thing you've included in this fic that I wish happened in the real show: Aman-Anjali!! I was uber pissed off that they never showed who Aman was! I really wanted him to make an entry ad then woo Anjali and see Arnav's reaction to it in the show! hehe..oh well..I guess we'll get to see that here, thanks to you! ;)

And last but not the list...Angad-Kripa-Sur-Prateek...a big big big big thank you to you for including them in this ff! A few writers like you continue to bring them in and keep them alive for us!

I think of all the FFs I have written, Khushi in this story is my favourite female character...and I think Kripa from Rushed is second. I didn't like how they'd portrayed Khushi in the show...she started off as a strong character but once Arnav forced her to marry him, her character just went downhill from me...I wish they'd shown her stronger there but there are so many stories on IF where people have shown her as a powerhouse! and you know my obsession with female powerhouse characters.😉 A true feminist at heart, I am. hehehe

As far as Arnav goes, he never wanted to what he did but alcohol/anger/hurt ego = disaster, right? he has been repenting since the second he realized what he's done and his repentance isn't about to stop anytime soon.

haha! the only reason why I've included Aman-Anjali in this fic is because I, too, wanted them to get together in the show! Angad and kripa and KYPH is too close to my heart for me to completely shut it out.

I'm right here, Sarah! I was hoping to not post teasers and post a part as my xmas gift to you all but I'm having a tough time dodging them writer's blocks...I have several coming at me all at once! >_<

I shall post the teasers now since it seems like I wont be able to complete the part...its a wordy update so trying to find the right words and tone/sentences has been a bit...tricky...lol.

You won't have to wait for the next update till new year's and that's my promise! No later than tomorrow, I swear!

I wish you had an amazing christmas yourself although now I feel bad for not giving you guys an update today...but I honestly tried, I swear! Oh well, I hope to somewhat make it up to you guys with the teasers I'm about to post. Update tomorrow! 😃

Teaser 1:

"How do I trust another man after everything that I've seen, everything that I've been through?" Anjali countered.

Khushi raised her eyebrows. "You were all for me giving Arnav a chance. I'm not asking you to trust the one who put you through hell...I would never ask you to give Shyam another chance...but as much as I know Aman...He's nothing like Shyam...or Arnav for that matter."

Teaser 2:

"She stood by you during this case. Even you know it would have made more sense for her to doubt you. She had every right to. Her mind even told her to. But she chose to believe you anyway. She's giving her everything to this new opportunity and you're insulting her efforts by constantly remembering the past. By continuing to succumbing to the guilt, you're insulting the trust that she has placed in you again."

Teaser 3 (Just because its Christmas!😉😆):

"You would never let her give Shyam another chance...then why did you give me one?" Arnav asked.

Khushi's head snapped up to look at him and her eyes flashed. Arnav swallowed, suddenly regretting asking the question.

"Dont you ever...ever compare yourself to Shyam." Khushi spoke through clenched teeth, making 'Shyam' sound like a swear word. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. A couple seconds later, she looked at him again, her face strangely composed.

Thank you for your wonderful comments on the last update!!🤗I Apologize for the delay in update this week guys! I've had some writer's block issues and because of christmas, things have been kind of busy...and we're in the middle of an ice/snow storm so that doesnt help matters much. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed the teasers and I promise to have the update up by tomorrow!😳
