Khushi definitely has good instincts, but unfortunately she wasn't strong enough on her conviction, otherwise they wouldn't have dealt with the crises.
The late night phone calls was a really good addition to the story...it really showed the slow progression of their relationship from a strictly professional one to something a little more personal, especially since those phone calls were after work hours, and not related to work. Also loved the elevator scene and how you wrote it...so many tension between the two and I'm glad neither wavered from their gaze.
I really liked the way Arnav was opening up to the possibilities of what could happen with Khushi since he realized that it was more than just an attraction that he felt. Even using Sheetal to make Khushi slightly jealous was an interesting twist, especially if it was going to be an innocent flirting just to see Khushi's reaction.
But wow, the past really came and reared its ugly head...the transition from his thoughts in the helicopter to his actions with Sheetal was a major 180 degrees. How can he hate someone so much that he's willing to risk his reputation in front of other politicians and also take advantage of a coworker and someone he depends on greatly to run his business? Obviously something major happened in the past and I'm glad we are finally going to get a glimpse into it (at least I am hoping we are)... I am wonder who the past conversation with...Anjali is very missing from the story, and this person called him Chotay, which he doesn't want to be called now...could it be Anjali he was talking to?
I'm very worried Khushi though because just like Arnav, things were starting to get more personal and beyond just an attraction, and to walk in on a topless Sheetal in the arms of Arnav was probably a horrific scene...I wonder if Arnav is ever going to explain to her that he was envisioning her in his arms, I doubt that would go over well. I really wonder how far Arnav would have taken it if Khushi hadn't interrupted them. Hope this Sheetal leaves for good now, Arnav doesn't want you!!!!
Since you mentioned that Khushi is 29 years old, I wonder if she has had an guys in her life, and if not, what is the reason for her holding back? Could it be something related to the past.
So many thoughts in my head as usual after reading your wonderful story...can't wait to read more😊
