Prologue!!

HE was 28 years old. A big reason to worry for Indian families. A 28 years old boy and still a bachelor!!

"May something is wrong in him. May be this is because of his anger. No no may be because of his arrogance and pride that he is rich. May be he such a loose character that no one wants to give their daughter's hand to him!! "

These were the lines what each and every mother of a girl in the town said to each other , thinking that if the other mind got to believe that he was what he was said to be then may be the other one would drop their IDEA of marrying her daughter to him so that their path may be cleared and their daughter could get married to the MOST eligible BACHELOR of the country. The great Business tycoon ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA.

Yes , ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA the great ASR . Who is known for his business, who is known for his arrogance , who is known for his money and now days is the most hot topic for rich ladies as each of them wanted their daughter's to get married to him.

Every one knows that he has a sweet and crazy lukcnowi family , who believe in simplicity and love for everyone. The raizadas were known for their kindness and were respected every where.

Men of the raizada family were successful in every business they took over and the bond between them was taken as an example in every family , because now a days a strong and affectionte bond between brothers or between any two men in a family was less to be seen. But in the case of raizada men it was totally different as the bond between them was un breakable.

Gupta's were one of the most respectful upper middle class family from luknow and now were very well settled in Delhi .Her Babuji Mr Shashi gupta worked as an manager in bank and was a gentle man. Her mother Mrs Garima Gupta was running a school for kids and was charming lady. Her younger sister Payal Gupta was 21 years old and was doing B.Tech.

And She KHUSHI GUPTA was a beautiful , bubbly , traditional, down to earth , modern yet simple girl who has done her M.B.A and was currently working as a manager in one of the MNC'S. Her family was everything to her and she would do anything for her family.

She was girl for whom every boy was ready to marry. She was a perfect wife material and was now in the eyes of each and every aunty who was a mother of a boy!!! She was considered as an perfect daughter in law material.

Raizadas.

Arnav Singh Raizada.

Sucess and money are his passion. Ranked as no 1 business man of the country for 5 consecutive years.

He is A.S.R . Pride and arrogance is defined as his nature. His temper is world famous and his employees are regularly trying to adjust themselves according to his mood. But every thing of him is taken as an example as what he is at the age of 28 , no one have been able reach their until their time of retirement.

But whatever is defined above is not applicable to him in case of his family. When he is at home he is only Arnav . He is chottey for his di , and is the best brother of the world . his parents died at age of 15 and since then he has been living with his dadi, chacha and chachi and ofcourse his di and akash.

For his di he is still a sweet Arnav who could do anything for her And fears her like a child. For his dadi he is the best grand son , for his chacha and chachi best son and for akash best big bro and buddy(if akash leaves the office aside).

Since 7 years he has also prved to be the best brother in law and since 5 years he has become the best mamu.

Yes he is the best in all fields...

Girls go flat for him but he never gave any of them any importance , it is not like he don't want to be in relationship or get married but first he want to be on the top. And now he is on the top.

Anjali jha

She is arnav's mother in form of his sister. She has always been with him and is a very sweet lady. Pooja and havan is an integral part of her life.

She has a lot of expectation for her sister in law and is always in search for a simple , beautiful and traditional yet modern girl for his chottey.

She has been married to SHYAM JHA. And is living a happy married life with a 5 years old daughter ria.

SHYAM JHA.

Anjali's husband . loves his wife too much . he is a lawyer by profession and has his own legal firm . every case of raizadas is solved by him as Arnav don't trust any one else.

DEVYANI SINGH RAIZADA.

She is arnav's dadi and is considered as the backbone of Raizada family. She is traditional , have a firm belive in God but that does not mean that she is not modern ... for eg.she likes salman khan and never ever leaves any of his movies.

Manorma and Manohar singh Raizada.

They are chachi and chacha of Arnav and anjali. After their parents death they have taken care of Arnav and anjali as they have taken of akash . they made no difference between the 3 children. Arnav and anjali has great respect for them as after their parents death they have always seen their chacha and chachi as their parents.

Akash Singh Raizada.

Brother of Arnav and son of manorma and manohar.

Arnav and akash are cousins but the between them could beat the bond of real brothers also. Being the youngest of all akash still consider himself as a child at home but at office he walks shoulder to shoulder to his brother. Arnav has always been the idol for him.

KHUSHI GUPTA.

An extremely beautiful girl of 24. She has done her mba and is currently working as an manager in one of the mnc's . her parents died at the age of 8 and since then she has been living with her mausa and maasi who are now her ma and babuji.

She has the most impressive personality ever seen. She is a girl of self respect and has never done anything which could harm her family. Happiness and down to earth character is what anyone could see in her. At her office she is a fantastic colegue and a hardworking employee. Her bosses are always happy with her work as she never let her personal and professional life get intermixed.

Her motto of life is " life lived for others is life lived for ourselves." She is a well educated girl and works independently and is modern also but she has all traditional values in her and is considered as a prefect bahu to be.

She is a best sister for payal and they both are best friends . when they with each other the word "bore" never surrounds them. Khushi is very protective for her sister and always stands as her support.

She is worlds best daughter and her ma and babuji consider themselves lucky to have her.

Boys drool over her and many claim to fall in love with her but she never gave any one chance to enter her life as she is a firm beliver of arrange marriage and knows that what her ma and babuji will choose for her will be the best for her, so she has left this matter into her parents hand. And her parents have taken that matter into their hand as she is 24 now.

Shashi Gupta.

Work as a bank manager and is a very respected man.

He is the most romantic husband ever seen. He loves his family very much and is the most cool dad ever. He loves khushi from the core of his heart and treats both his Daughters equally. He belonged to lucknow and has been working in delhi from many years . he is an idle for khushi and she respects him more than god also.

Garima gupta.

MA...

She is mother of khushi and payal ...and wife of Mr gupta.

She is very matured and composed lady ... she is backbone of khushi ... if any desicion is taken by her then it is said to be taken by every one in the house.

She is the woman from whom khushi has learnt how to make a house a HOME!!!!

She loves khushi and payal equally and is always surprised by the new ways of her husband to love her.

She runs a school for kids as she believes in the form of GOD in kids and that brings peace to her mind.

Khushi has always seen the relationship of her ma and babuji and always admired it and hoped for herself.

Payal Gupta.

The youngest daughter of gupta house and naughtiest also. She has always been pampered and given what shOw desired. She is doing her b.tech now .

Khushi and payal are like bread and butter ... their is no way that any misunderstanding or any problem can destroy their relationship. She is a girl of dreams and hass a lot of dreams about her future, about her job , about her prince charming and recently abut her JEEJAJI... and hopes that it will be full filled soon.

part 1 :

Raizada Mansion .

It was 10.30 at night. He was sitting on his armchair near the poolside. His mind revising all the activities of the day. Today was an important day for him. He bagged the contract he wanted and now his company was one of the leading designing company in the WORLD. He was damn sure that his company will only get the contract but Akash was so nervous that he had to ask di to come to the office and make him relax.

In the morning he got up at 5:00 am and made sure that his each and every file and presentation related to this contract was up to it's mark. He made sure that everything was perfect after all he was a perfect man himself. The word UNSUCESSFUL was taken out from his dictionary many years before when he started this company and now in each and every dictionary the word SUCCESSFUL had only one meaning ARNAV SINGH RAIZADA. He was very proud of himself. After all after so many years of hard work he had reached the position where men in 40's and 50's could also not reach in such a short span of time. He was just 28 and now was the most successful businessman of the country.

Today he got the contract of 400 millions and as a result, share price of his company zoomed at large. Everything was going perfect today until when he returned home at night around 8 pm.

Flashback'.

It was exactly 8 pm. He and Akash were returning home after a long tireful and exciting day. He was very happy and was all ready to go and meet his di and dadi. After such a hectic day he wanted some relief. But as usual raizada women had something else in their mind.

As soon as he entered the living area he saw his younger brother Akash jumping like a small kid and falling asleep on to the sofa. He was surprised by this behavior of Akash as his behavior did not match any bit to the 25 year old business man whom he had seen in the office today. But end of the day he knew Akash was still a pampered child. CHILD???? No no!!! he meant akash is still the youngest member of the family if Ria could be left aside. Ria Jha was 5 years old daughter of his sister Anjali Jha who was married to his jiju Shyam Jha . No he mean to say his jiju shyam was married to anjali ... whatever it is all the same' he grinned at his own confused thoughts.

"Mamuuu''" a sweet and cute voice brought him back into the world.

"hey my princess' how are you??? How was your day???" he asked taking Ria in his arms and cuddling her.

" mah day was not good' mumma scolded me for eating chocolates'" ria pouted and placed her head on his mamu's chest.

"aawww' we will talk to mumma about this' but first tell me how many chocolates did you eat ' ????" he asked while caressing her cheeks.

" I ate only 2 no 3 no no 4 and a half chocolates '. But I ate it in intervals .." she said making a puppy face knowing if her mamu got to know that she ate all chocolates in one go then he will also take her mumma side. So she tricked his poor mamu.

" ohh 'umm' then it's ok.ill talk to di and will see that she does not scold my princess like this or else'" he was just not given the chance to complete his sentence when Anjali's voice came from behind.

" or else what chottey??? I bet you are the one who will spoil her'.. and you get down and go to the room ' your dearest Papa is calling you." Said anjali while taking ria off from arnav arms and putting her on the ground while all the time making a strict face. Poor ria had no other choice other than going to her room to her papa so that she could be saved from her mother as she knew that now that her mother was angry her mamu would also be not able to save her.

" DI !! I was just consoling ria and nothing much!! She was looking sad and I was just' leave it how was your day di??" said arnav hugging his di and quickly changing the topic to save himself from long lectures about spoling ria.

" my day was good as usual '.. ermmm arnav I just.. I mean we just' I mean me, dadi and chachi wants to talk to you . so please quickly change and come to dadi's room." She said in a nervous tone and trailed off upstairs.

NOW arnav was confused here he was thinking of ways to calm his di's anger and there his di was hell nervous herself. He knew something was up and he started using his mind to find out all the possibilities. When he was not able to figure out he went up quickly to his room and changed in his jersey and trackpants and started for his dadi's room.

As he entered his dadi's room he saw three women of his family talking to each other . it seemed as if they were rehearsing their dialogues.

" Dadi !!??? may I come in???" said Arnav .." you all called me??"

" oh !! Arnav beta ' yes yes come in '. Why are you asking???? and Why are you standing outside??? Come !! make your self comfortable here !!! " said his dadi in the maximum possible sweetest way.

NOW what is this? Thought Arnav. He always ask dadi before entering into her room or before entering into any ones room he always seeked permission . He considered it a manner. And he was A.S.R ...he always followed each and every etiquette to make himself perfect and never before his dadi had any problem with it so what happened today????? Crazy things he thought!! Di +dadi are nervous about something for sure!!!!

" Arnav beta come and sit with us na!!! " said his chachi following the just made nervous tradition.

Uff!! Arnav thought now chachi also!!

Arnav came and sat down beside his dadi. His dadi took his hand in hers and said " Arnav I want something from you !!"

" dadi you don't have to ask !! you should command!!! What is it??" said Arnav feeling confused.

" but chottey first promise you will not say no!!" said a jumping anjali .

" dii!! Have I ever said no to you all?? You'" Arnav was cut off.

" no first promise us chotu!!! " said his chachi now making Arnav nervous .

His chachi only called Arnav CHOTU when she pampered him or when she is angry with him or when she is hell nervous !! the first two did not applied and the last one was the case . Arnav had enough now so he said " OK PROMISE !!! now tell me !! you are making me nervo'.. making me angry!!!" he was just saying nervous but how could a.s.r be nervous so he corrected himself with angry ..mentally agreeing with it in mind.

" ok !!" started anjali .

" we want you to visit the mandir tomorrow with us??" asked anjali.

" diii'. Ok fine'" Arnav said mentally estimating the amount of time that will be wasted tomorrow.

" we want you to meet a family there'??" said his di and all the 3 women captured their breath.

" what???? Meet a family ?? for what di???" asked a very confused Arnav.

"chottey you promised us??" said anjali feeling proud of the promise taken by her.

" whooff' okkk.. fine '" frowned Arnav.

The three women released their breaths.

" we want you to talk to them" said chachi.

" what ?? ok !!! but wait !!! if I will meet a family it is obvious that I will talk to them na???" mentally cursing himself for coming home today so early.

"ya... but promise us?? " said anjali.

"ok'." Said Arnav thinking that now he will say ok to everything asked because his question will not be answered and the promise that he had made will comply him to agree so why to waste time with his crazy family. He prepared himself for all the yes and ok.

" you will not let your work or phone call interrupt the meeting." Said his dadi somewhat sternly.

" o.k'"

"you will be polite with everyone.."

"o.k' di'" somewhat absent mindedly'

"you will meet the daughter of the family'???"

" o.k di'.." said Arnav his mind now thinking about todays deal so that he could do multiple task at the same time so that time will not be wasted as he knew now he will only have to say "ok".

"you will talk to her" said his chachi.

" yes chachi'.."

" you will alsoalso agree to MARRY her if you like her??" asked his dadi now nervous'

"theek hai dadi !!! "

" what the???? MARRY ??? WHO??? WHEN?? WHERE????"

Arnav bewildered at the word MARRY'. He has been tricked ' oh god!!! the great ASR has been tricked by three women.

"chottey you promised not to say no!!!" pouted anjali with a strict voice knowing now the actual work started.

" but di' what is this haan???? Marry ?? any girl and that too so early?? I don't want to get married now' I have lot of work to finis'and'." Reasoned Arnav.

" don't want to get married means what ?? you are 28 now!!! And it is not that we are marriying you right tomorrow !!!" said his chachi.

"and yes you have all the choice!!! You can meet the girl ..talk to her and then decide you can take your time chottey'. But now you should understand that it his high time that you start thinking about you marriage' and I will not listen anything you are coming with us tomorrow." Finalized anjali.

" di '. What is this ' you all tricked me' I 'i' but di ' how ?? I don't have time for marrige now' I want to expand my business more'. And'"

Arnav was cut off by his dadi " oye !!! how much expanding you will do?? If you will expand your business so much then it will blast ' and what do you mean married men do not be successful??? Your jiju is a best example' that they are' so'. Stop all this nonsense'. and In clear words you are getting old and if you will not get married now 'then after sometime you will not anyone and will have to remain like a bachelor whole life' so you are coming tomorrow and it is final."

" OLD?? What the???? I am just 28 dadi and' "

" end of the discussion ' we are going tomorrow' and its final'." Said 'dadi ASR' to' ASR''

And it was final tomorrow he will have to meet a GIRL .

Flashback ends''.

He was taken out of his thoughts by the sweet voice of his di'

" chottey ?? you are not asleep??" she asked putting the jug down on the table. Anjali was just getting some water from the kitchen when she saw light of arnav's room switched on.

"di?? No I was just'.. di I want to aks you a question??"

" what is it chottey " said anjali sitting by his side on the big arm chair and ruffling his hair.

Arnav took di's hand in his and said " di !! how can I get married ?? I have so many responsibilities.. I have to make AR world's no one company' I have to ' I mean .. I just ' I hope you understand di'"

Anjali understood her brother's state but she wanted him to blurt all out.

" I don't chottey ' make me understand' don't hesitate chottey it's about your life'" said anjali in a concerned voice.

This made Arnav silent for a while befor speaking up " di I .. I just .. I just think .. marriage is a great responsibility and I am not ready for it.. I think that if someone will enter into my life I will not be given the freedom that I got now and that will make my work suffer and... I don't want any other woman than you to be important for me'." Said Arnav in one go.

" that is it?? That you are worried about??? "said anjali with a sweet smile. " chottey I agree that marriage is a great responsibility but that you alone don't have to take your better half will always be there for you' and it is not that someone can make your work suffer' no chottey not at all.. that someone will be your WIFE' she will be you' she will be the one to support you at all times ' to make you feel better at times of worries' to make you happy 'to share your deepest secret ..and belive me chottey ' marriage makes a man complete.. I assure you that when you will be married you will be more successful. .. more happy 'more contended' and that will make your life a heaven'" said anjali showing her motherly love for his brother cum son.

" and that any other woman will be your wife not a random woman'."she said with a chuckle' " and I will be your di'. Then how it is that you will mix both of us ?? hmm???"

" and I will make sure that you always give more importance to me than her !!! " she said with a laugh.

Now Arnav was relaxed ' his thoughts that were going in negative direction were now becoming positive and all thanks to his di..

" thanks di for understading me and'"

" welcome chottey !!!but I bet you she will understand you better and will make you a complete MAN'"

" MARRIGES change your life for better chottey' believe me ' it is my personal experience'." Said a sweet anjali.

"but then at the end of it .. I am sorry for tricking you into this 'but if you are really not happy with this I promise no one will force you ' ???" she rather asked than stated.

" you don't have to be sorry di.. and I think I will give it a chance.." said a satisfied Arnav.

" love you chottey' now go to sleep'because I don't want dark circles under your eyes tomorrow .. eww 'not infront of my would be bhabhi ' what if she rejects you???" said anjali making face'

" di you are crazy' but di I love it when you are crazy with happiness'. Aapki KHUSHI mere liye sabse badhkar hai di'.." said a loving brother with a chuckle.

" hawww chottey !! you haven't seen her and you have started giving her so much importance???" asked a naughty anjali..

" what the?? Importance ?? to whom di??" asked a confused Arnav.

" vohi ' meri KHUSHI' I mean the girl you are meeting tomorrow ' my KHUSHI WOULD BE BHABHI!!!!" said anjali with a laugh.

" means????"

"means that her name is khushi chottey and belive me she is worth that name'.." said anjali slowly getting up and running out of his room..

" what the?? KHUSHI???"

IT TOOK ARNAV TEN MINUTES TO UNDERSTAND HER DI' and a smile appeared at his face and he left for bed'.

On the bed Arnav closed his eyes and said the last word for that day'.. " KHUSHI'.." !!!

And he went into a deep slumber'.
