Part 8

The moon was shining with all its power. The breeze was gentle and cool. Moon light was accentuating every bit of beauty that existed. Then from somewhere came two companion holding each other's hand. They were just walking in the moon light and stopped when they reached a swing that was lying in the centre of the terrace. The man told the lady to sit and he himself sat down beside her.

"Khushi..." came the husky voice of Arnav.

Khushi just looked at him with a smile.

"Are you happy?" came a concerned enquiry from Arnav .

"yes..." answered Khushi confidently but then she asked " Are you happy?"

"yes... I am happy." Said Arnav "It is has been so fast na... we met today only and now we are in a strong commitment. Till yesterday I was not even thinking about marriage and now I have completed my shagun ceremony... it's like... I mean all is going so fast."

"Arnavji... do you have in any problem that we had shagun today itself?" asked Khushi a little sad that maybe he is not confident about this relationship.

"No... I didn't mean that... I mean It is all very new for me... I have never been in any type of relationship and ..." Arnav was obstructed by Khushi in between.

"Arnavji... don't you feel... you should consider your decision once again. I mean... you are the Number one business man ... you have to think about your reputation also. I am just a simple girl work on monthly pay... how will I keep upto your expectations. I mean you should marry someone who can match upto you... you could get anyone." Khushi as by her nature could not control her thoughts so she blurted out.

And as she said those word both of them looked at each other. Both the eyes were saying something. Khushi's eyes were looking for some answers and Arnav's eyes were giving answers.

"But I don't want anyone else." Eyes locked into her Arnav blurted out his thoughts in one sentence.

And this was all that was needed by Khushi to accept this relationship by heart. Her all doubts were cleared , her all worries were blown away and now she could see all the positive things out.

"Khushi ... I want you to know that I am not a man of words. I can't express my feelings with golden words... it is hard for me to trust and get attached with anyone. But today when I saw you I could not help but attach myself with you...I don't know why but I know I can trust you. And this is the reason why I agreed for you. I don't know why but today when I saw you my all thoughts that always kept me away from binding myself in any relationship were blown away... I wanted to bind myself with you, your innocence attracted me and that was the soul reason why me The A.S.R who always ran from any commitment got committed with you and not for a short period but for LIFETIME."Arnav kept his side of thoughts in front of her. His voice as calm as air that was blowing and his eyes displayed all his emotion.

Khushi was just looking at the man in front of her. This was the man about who's anger, attitude and arrogance Khushi had been hearing since the day she entered the corporate world. This was the man about whom she was taught in her business classes 3 years ago.

3 years ago also Khushi had a great respect for this man although knowing about his nature. But Khushi always said ' this man's nature is another thing but the way this man has made his position in such a short span of time is remarkable.' She respected him since then. And now as she saw him speaking His innermost feeling in front her with all the patience and calmness, as she saw him accepting his weakness infront of her the respect for him just swelled up in her heart. Khushi could see all the emotions in his eyes which he was not able to elaborate with words but suddenly she was some change of emotions. It was not anger, jealousy, hurt or anything it was pride and respect that he had for himself and his family and this was confirmed when he spoke next.

" And one thing more Khushi. I am not concerned about what world thinks or other people thing. I only care about what my family think and what I think. And you being a girl who works on monthly pay will never bring my reputation down on the contrary it will make proud that my wife stands on herself... I maybe a business man and a rich person but for my family I am just Arnav. So when my family has accepted you with all hearts I don't have any doubt on my decision so therefore today when I have YOU I can't think of anyone else in your place... so never again say what you said before." Said Arnav his thoughts direct. "but all these questions of yours make me think that are YOU really happy?" asked Arnav.

"ME??"asked Khushi more to herself than him.

"yes you!... are you really happy?" asked Arnav .

Khushi looked at him. She knew he wanted her to express her feeling as he has done. She knew he wanted her to be true and she herself wanted to be true and she will be true... to him and herself. She took a deep breath and replied "Arnavji... as I have already told you in our first meeting that Like you I have also not been in any relationship... but have always hoped for a lifelong relationship... and I strongly believed in arrange marriages because I believe in my ma and bauji. I believe that they will always choose best for me... I trust them. If they have chosen YOU for me then I don't have any problem... It is not only them but I also like you. I respect you. The only problem till now was that I felt that may be the status difference between us will affect our relation but now after listening to you that single doubt has also been erased. Now I don't have any hindrance in accepting this relationship."

She saw him. He was listening to her with all the calm. She could see he was interested in knowing her feeling. This made her heart swell with some unknown FEELING for him. She had poured her heart out in front of him and she felt nice so she continued " And yes I am HAPPY... and for your kind information I am just opposite to you. I can attach myself with each and everything... may it be a person or even a vegetable." She chuckled at her own words making him smile a bit "I seem to trust anyone and everyone, Payal has even scolded me many times for trusting anyone blindly...but one thing is there If a person loses my trust once it is very difficult to get back. And yes unlike you I am chatter box. I just love to talk. I can talk on any topic and at any situation that is why I have been the best debater of my college and school." She said with a pride.

" Is that so??...But since morning I was noticing and feeling that you are a very shy kind of person. I mean you blushed at everything related to us..." said Arnav with his brows cocked up.

"I was not blushing.." retorted Khushi.

"you were.." said Arnav.

"No I was not..."

"really??? Lets see..." said Arnav with a trademark smirk moving a little closer to her and that little worked. Her nose was red , her cheeks were red and eyes were shocked at the proximity between them.

"wha...what ar..are you doing?" fumbled Khushi.

"Nothing I was just proving myself right..." whispered Arnav in her ears. " And I want to tell you one thing more... I am always right Khushi ." With that he touched her nose and said "laal hai..." .

Khushi could do nothing but just sit there with red nose, cheeks and an 'O' shaped mouth. HE TRICKED HER.

"this was cheating..."she said.

"cheating??"he asked while standing up.

"yes... you made...made me blush." Khushi answered.

"I just proved myself that you blush on everything related with US." Explained Arnav while ironing his coat with his hand.

"laad governor." She mumbled.

"you said something?"

"NO..." shrieked Khushi.

"so...should we go down now...?"asked Khushi calming her senses.

"Yes..if you want." Said Arnav half heartedly.

" hmm... let's go.. everyone must be waiting." Said Khushi and they both turned towards staircase when Khushi remembered something and said "Arnav ji ... you wanted my number na?"

"what? Your number... yes... but have It.." explained Arnav surprised.

"you have my number means what? I didn't gave you..." said Khushi equally surprised.

"no... you only gave me the number... Payal gave me the paper in which you have written your number." Said Arnav.

"oh... but wait did Payal said I gave it to you?" asked Khushi sensing some mischief.

"yeah... see this your number." Arnav showed Khushi the number which he had saved in his mobile after so many editing of her name.

Khushi saw the number in Arnav's mobile which was saved as hers and she could do nothing but just laugh her heart out confusing Arnav to the limit.

"what the??? Why are laughing?" asked Arnav examining his mobile to see if there was something funny in it.

"Pa..payal...gav... gave you this as my number?" asked Khushi in between her laughs.

"yes... but what is there to laugh?" asked Arnav still confused.

"arey... this is not my number. It is bauji's number... and for your kind information I didn't gave you any paper ."said Khushi controlling herself to laugh more.

"WHAT??? So Payal played with me???" retorted Arnav shocked.

"yess.. kind of. I knew something must be fishy in Payal giving you my number. Payal has always hoped for JIJAJI and now she has got you so always be prepared for such things. "said Khushi fondly about her sister.

"what the? And I thought she would help me and you to come closer." Said Arnav now smiling at the prank of his SALI.

"you wanted to act her as a cupid.?"asked Khushi.

"not exactly... I mean the way she helped me talk to you at shagun... I really..leave it." Said Arnav smiling. "Thanks to heaven that I did not called you. I was just planning to call you." Said Arnav.

"why?" Khushi asked surprised.

"why means what? I just wanted to talk to you ."answered Arnav.

"oh.." said Khushi.

"you don't want me to call you?" asked Arnav.

"no..no... It's nothing like that... I was only..."explained Khushi .

"so I can call you?" asked Arnav hopefully.

"Yes...why not." Said Khushi.

"Your number?" asked Arnav.

"Give me your mobile I will save it." Said Khushi and took his mobile from his hand rightfully and started typing her number in it without waiting for his reply.

Arnav just stood shocked at him. He has never ever allowed ANYONE to touch his mobile. Even his di was also not allowed to touch it other than in exceptional cases and here Khushi just took his mobile from his hand and was using it. But he didn't stopped her... infact he liked the way she took the mobile rightfully from his hand. It felt his belonging to her. This is what is needed 'right on the other' he thought and smiled.

"Here ... I have typed my number and saved It." said Khushi giving Arnav back his mobile "so now let's move down." She said and proceeded towards the staircase.

He just nodded at her and followed her. He glanced at his mobile once and saw her number. He saw that she has saved it as Khushi Gupta. He didn't said anything to her, he just edited her number once again as Khushi... just Khushi.
