Hi guys!

I am back with another update after ages LOL! But as I mentioned I was supposed to keep this story on a hold. I was free today so thought of giving an update.

So here it goes:-

She smirked saying, "It's time for me to start the game. Miss. Manvi, your end is not so far."

She suddenly took her phone and gave a call.

As soon as the call was accepted, she said, "It's me, Misha."

Person on the other side,"Hi Misha ma'am, what can I do for you?"

"I have got some work for you", she replied as soon as she heard his question.

"Sure ma'am", he said getting ready for anything

And the conversation continued and ended.

Misha still stood there with an evil smirk and feeling proud of herself that she will have finally got ridden of the person she hates the most!

Manvi still kept on sobbing, she had reached her apartment. Never in her wildest dreams, had she ever thought that Virat will ignore and shout at her like this.

Then she thought if he does not want her to care for him, then why should she do so? Why should she mind what Misha is doing to him? But she couldn't ignore the fact, that moreover he was her best friend. Or was he still? She never knew!

She switched on the TV and sat there flipping through the channels. The Sports News caught her eye as she saw Virat's video while he was batting was shown.

And the news flashed, "Virat Vadhera, the young cricketer, who lately achieved the milestone of 1000 runs in Renji Trophy, has been selected to the Indian Cricket Team for the ICC World Cup."

The news made Manvi jump with joy, it made her forget what she was going through. She was dancing like a kid. But the thought that Virat was angry at her washed her happiness away and put in the sorrow back.

Virat was just too happy when he was informed that he is selected for the world Cup, it was his dream, the dream which had been built up by Manvi.

The one, who wished this dream to be fulfilled the most, was unfortunately not with him. He wished if she was there to share his happiness with. He felt guilty for shouting at her but then only he remembered that it was her and only her mistake!

Manvi stared through the window sill down into the street where vehicles moved like arrows and people moved like ants. The whole city was too crowded and the noise was too much that it irritated her even more.

The silence was broken by Manvi's mobile's ring. She suddenly picked up the phone, it was her boss,

Her boss started the conversation, "Hi Manvi."

Manvi was not in a good mood and she wanted to be alone, but his call was making her mood worse. She replied, "Hi Sir."

"Manvi, I hope you must have heard that Virat Vadhera has been selected to Indian Team, we would like to cover a full page exclusive interview about him. I want it to be ready before tomorrow morning, so better be fast.", he said.

How could she forget that she will have to interview him? Moreover it was her job. But she was in no mood to do it, everything going around was making her feel more and more uncomfortable.

"No sir, I cannot." She denied him.

"But why?" he asked confused.

She still said the same, "I cannot, that's why."

He asked again,"But I am asking, what is the reason?"

Manvi was already not in a good mood and his questions made her angry, "I cannot and that's final."

And she cut the call. On the other side, her boss stood stunned wondering what has happened to his most sincere and punctual employee.

Virat was answering all those calls congratulating him. He was totally in a party mood. He was pacing around the room expecting Manvi to enter in any second, apologize to him and congratulate him.

He heard the door being opened with force from outside. He turned back to see Misha over there. He expected a smile on her face but instead she looked so worried.

Virat instantly ran and hugged her but she didn't reciprocate. He broke the hug.

He asked concerned, "What happened darling?"

In a worried tone, she replied, "Virat, I told about our relationship to my family members."

Whatever she said brought a smile onto his face," That's a great news, so what did they say?"

Misha continued in a worried tone, "I hope you know mine is a traditional family."

"So what?", Virat asked confused.

"And they don't want a cricketer in our family as a son in law." she replied and took a deep breath.

"What do you mean?" he asked still confused.

"They said that if you want to marry me, then you will have to leave cricket and take up a proper job which can serve us all through our future.", she explained.

Virat was just too shocked. It was his dream that came true today and his love was asking him to leave his dream and bright future behind to have a life with her. He couldn't believe his ears.

Hoping it to be a night mare or a joke, he asked again, "What? Are you serious?"

I hope you all liked the update. I know you all must be confused, but never mind. It will be cleared soon.
