A short chapter...I wouldn't call it sweet though...its kind off a filler plus I wanted to introduce Rohan a little bit...you can imagine him as anyone you like but for me...Rohan is Karan Tacker...which doesn't really make sense..but what can I say I have Karan-mania...anyways please comment on what you thought a new and longer chapter with much more will hopefully come soon!

Chapter 14

Sid was sitting in his office with his head down on his table this morning had been brutal...he wasn't able to save a patient...even though as a doctor you were thought to be very objective and detached from your patients it was difficult let go so easily...when he told the family they had broken down into his arms...the chances of the operation to have been a success was 60% even though those weren't terrible odds the human body was quite unpredictable...at his desk he just needed Shipla and her comforting words she always knew what to say when he was sad...so he decided to call her...8 missed calls later he gave up...it was like his body was drained...he decided he would take the rest of the day off...because he couldn't continue with the emotional burden...he texted Shilpa to canc their daily lunch and went home and shut himself inside his room...no one knew he was at home because his dad was on a business trip and Nivi was out with her friends planning a charity event..so he was home alone...and therefore continued to sulk.

It was dinner time and Sid knew that everyone was home including Shilpa because he could hear his laughter he thought first that he would just stay in bed but then his stomach growled he remembered he hadn't even eaten lunch...so he decided to make an appearance at the dinner table...as he walked down the stairs he saw Shilpa with her head back laughing as he continued looking ...he saw a man in front of Shilpa laughing just as hard he had a bit of a scruff he was tall and nicely built...but Sid didn't recognize him...he was definitely not his friend...maybe he was Shilpa's ...Over the weeks they had gotten to know each other she had occasionally brought friends over to his house to meet him and his mom...and it wasn't weird because to Shilpa his house was hers and all of his family and the help at the house had also accepted Shilpa as part of the household...because she spent most of her time at the Modi's...she was here every night for dinner and even stayed over during weekends. So much of her stuff was in the guest room that it was almost like she had moved in..

Sid continued his descent down the stairs...he was in his "I don't give a damn" look well that's what Shilpa called them...he was wearing grey sweat pants and a black tank top with grey slippers and his hair was all over the place...he reached the dining table and sat down...he began answering some emails on his blackberry so he failed to notice the expression of utter shock on Shilpa and his mom's face...and Shilpa's friend just looked confused.

Shilpa was the first to speak...what the hell happened Sid...and when did you come home?
Sid looked up from his phone and quite normally answered back..oh I was back by lunch...I guess no one was home...I even texted you...and that when Shilpa's friend interjected ...ya sorry about that man I kinda confiscated Shilpi's phone at the airport cuz I wanted her all to myself...and then he smiled...Sid looked at him and gave him his best fake smile...he wasn't in the mood plus wasn't he talking to Shilpa...Shilpa continued hey I almost forgot...Sid she said while slightly ruffling her friends hair...this is Rohan...my bestest friend in the universe...and Rohan this is my Sid..we just met a couple of weeks ago but it feels like forever...right Sid..he smiled at her with one of his genuine smiles...he had felt a little dejected when she had introduced Rohan as her bestfriend but he felt a pang of happiness when she called him her own.

But that happiness was short lived as Shilpa and Rohan started a new conversation with each other...they told everyone of the many adventures they went on as friends when they were kids...and how they had each others back throughout high school and college...hearing so much about them for some reason made Sid a little hurt...he for a moment wished he had been the one to share all those moments with Shilpa...he had wished she had met him earlier...he realized that Rohan and Shilpa had history whereas he and Shilpa had nothing...yes they were friends but if Sid were to leave Shilpa wouldn't miss him but if she were to leave...he would have no one...once again he was reminded of the feeling of being unwanted...like with Riddhima...she had moved on so easily...was it really that easy to forget him...all these thoughts poked at him and he was hit with a migraine...it wasn't too bad...but then it was a good excuse to get away...already he was feeling like crap from when he had returned from the hospital but now he just felt worse hearing all of Shilpa and Rohan's stories...so he discreetly excused himself from the table and left.

i dont know what i should write...
why you have choice karan tacker as rohan😔 i mean you have made it difficult for me, love both of them,😊
for a moment i felt bad that shilpa didnt answered sids calls but now i know it was rohans fault,
maybe it is bad that i wrote this, but im happy to see shila & rohan because this will make some sense to sid, he will understand his feelings...
but what i like the most was the part, that he wished that he wished he had met her earlier..and felt sad for him when he said it is easy to forget him😔
liked rohan now more(maybe because he is karan tacker😊)but hope for some liitle cute moments between sid & shilpa...

Chapter 15

After Shilpa's conversation with Rohan came to a halt...she realized someone was missing from the table...she had noticed that Sid had been quieter than usual...something was definitely wrong...so she too excused herself and went to Sid's room. The usually clean room was messy...files were scattered all over the place and Sid was not inside his room...alarms started sounding in her head...this was a first...when Sid was unhappy he would usually isolate himself but something really troubling must've happened because she had never seen him like this...she stood their thinking where he could've gone...and then a bulb light turned on in her head...and she headed for the front door...Nivi and Rohan called for but she ignored them and continued running. After 5 minutes of running she reached her destination...it was a small secluded area of nature where there was a untouched patch of grass and large trees...if you didn't leave nearby you could spend your whole life in Houston not knowing about this place...even those that lived nearby had no clue...but a 8 year old curious boy had discovered this serene place...even though at that age the child liked the loudness around him he had come here often when he needed to breathe...and even now the 26 year old came here when he needed to clear his mind...she was one of the few who was brought here...Sid had brought her here 2 weeks ago when she was angry and irritable...it had happened due the rough patch she was facing with her boutique...she remembered what a bitch she was at that time...and how Sid had literally dragged her here and left her for a good hour...when he came back she had become calm and all that anger was gone...and he had told her how he had discovered this place...he had said it was like magic and that point it did really feel like magic as her anger and disappeared and she began to think with clarity.

She was right...as she walked closer she could she a silhouette of a man sitting on the bench with his head in his hands...she walked toward him and sat next to him...she didn't say anything...giving him all the space he needed...slowly after sometime he uncovered his face and put his head on her lap...he looked up at her and asked almost innocently...why do people have to die? She looked at him with lots of love and acceptance and smiled a little while stroking his hair ...because God loves his children and sometimes when he really misses them he calls them back. Slowly he got up and sat facing Shilpa...there was sadness in his eyes...there was 60% rate of success...I should've been able to save him...he was just 28...he had just gotten married was planning to start a family...when...he paused for a bit...trying to control his emotions...when I told his mother she broke down in my arms...I should've been able to save him Shilpa...she looked at him in the eyes and said in a very serious tone that meant business...Siddhant you're a doctor. You're job is to do everything you can with the knowledge you have to save a life. That is you're duty to try to do everything in you're capacity. The key word being try...if you could save everyone people would stop going to worship God and will come to worship you. She then softened her tone...Look Sid I'm not going to tell you to be completely objective because no one can write off someone dying on their operation table...but Sid you can't blame yourself sometimes things don't work out...you're just a doctor...now give me a hug and one of those Sid smiles...he took a breath and gave her a rib-crushing hug and then a small smile...he was feeling better but she wasn't morphine...she could lessen the pain not kill it.

Shilpa took his hand in hers and took him home...when the reached the doors as they were about to go inside she pulled his hand and he turned around she looked at him and gave her bestest Shilpa smile and said...Sid yaad rakhna ek baat...ki tusi tope ho aur iss country de hope ho...to please yaar don't doubt yourself...he smiled back she wasn't morphine but she definitely made him feel like he was on the happy drug...he smiled at her and they went inside.

Once they were inside and Sid mood had gotten better he had gotten to know Rohan...if he had to say so himself the guy wasn't terrible...they had quite the similar interests...they both liked video games, they both liked Miami, and they both were big Cricket fans...if he had to say so himself...Rohan was actually quite cool. As they talked about their interests and the T20 Shilpa and Nivi brought some dessert and they all sat around in the living room. Shilpa served her favorite strawberry cheesecake ice cream...every since Shilpa had come into the Modi's home and heart they stocked up everything she liked...that meant that they only had strawberry cheesecake ice cream...they always had maggi and bonvita...in the short span of time the Modi's had learned and accepted more about Shilpa than even her own family. As she served...both her boys failed to even acknowledge her and took the bowls from her hands and continued their conversation...Shilpa was pissed...how dare they...she was the reason they had become friends and now they were ignoring her...she had a sly smile on her face...fine she thought to herself...let me have some fun and teach these idiots what they are missing out on. She took out her phone and pretended to dial a number and began talking quite loudly...Nivi was the first to notice...she gave Shilpa a what are you up to now look and Shilpa reciprocated with a simple wink...Nivi smiled she was ready for show...Shilpa began talking loudly...

Hi sweetheart...where are you? I know we haven't seen each other...yes I miss you too...ever since you went to Miami you didn't even call me...I know that you've got business but how long are you going to be a drug peddler Mike...I mean don't you love me...she slowly looked over at them...finally all eyes were on her...both her hunks were staring at her intently in utter shock...so she continued...come on Mike you know I don't like any of this...plus your men treat me like crap when you're gone...remember those bruises on my back and shoulder...I didn't actually fall...I know...they are you're friends...but...before she could continue her iPhone was snatched away from her and when she turned around she saw Sid...their was pure hatred in his eyes...they reminded her of when they had met...it kind of scared her...maybe she took it a little too far...he started talking into the phone...you asshole who do you think you are...after today if I see you or any of your other gora punks around I'm going to break your bones...and in the process if I get a little hurt its ok...because I'm a doctor but you bloody idiot...who gonna take care of you...don't call again and in anger he through the phone onto the floor.

Rohan came next to her and turned her around...Shilpi are you crazy...I left for a couple of days and you've been hanging out with drug lords...I'm disappointed...how could you...Rohan was upset but Sid was angry...they both turned away trying control themselves...and then Shilpa began to cry (over dramatic Karisma Kapoor crying)...and sat on the floor with her hand on her forehead...Mein loot gaayi, barbaad hogi...mere aankhon ke taare...mere dono dost mujhse gussa...All I wanted was for you're stupid dostana to end for a bit...and continued the overdramtic crying...Sid and Rohan slowly got down to her level and both in-sync and said...meri maa bus kar! Sid said Shilpa..even if you want we can't leave you...because idiot we are the biggest idiots here...you understand...now get up and lets eat your stupid but favorite ice cream...they all got up and Shilpa smiled...ok ok...but I'm warning you she said playfully you both are very important so you better not go haan...otherwise I will really find myself a Mike...Rohan slightly tapped her head...chal chal...woh din nahin aaye ga...now lets go eat some ice cream.

the beginning was really emotional, loved shilpa how she tried to console him..
they undestand each other so well, ohh loves the scene with the phone, and drug mike😊
