I'm glad that Khushi somehow sorted out her life is at a better place now.. Frankly the only person I really liked in the SS was Lavanya, I truly felt bad for the girl and she didn't deserve it at all..

I initially thought she might have a second chance to mend their broken relationship but I was outraged by what Arnav & Khushi did.. If only Arnav was upfront with Lavanya from the time he had a gut feeling that he wasn't keen on working out their marriage.. But what's done is done..

It would have been a ridicule to her self-respect if she still chose to stay with him hence I'm relieved that she managed to get out of this mess of a marriage.. I hope she found a man who is worthy of her and also hope that she managed to reconcile with her family..

This certainly was a thought provoking SS.. You really write very well and I hope you continue to write more.. Will surely lookout for any new stories by you.. :)

Firstly, I am so sorry for such a late reply.
Life's been super hectic.

Coming to the update, I am so happy to see a more, if not happy, then content Khushi.
She is fighting with her demons, and not denying them. I loved her then and I love her now.

I am glad that both of them did not get together after the shooting. It would have felt wrong, no matter how much they justified themselves. Poor Lavanya was left heartbroken.
She left her family for Arnav, and he cheated on her.

I would have respected Arnav a lot more, if he would have had the b**ls to break up with Lavanya before he moved on with Khushi. No woman deserves to be cheated on. Especially not the one, who has left her whole life behind for you.

I hate to say it, but out of the three, Arnav was probably the weakest link for me.
Khushi goes for what she wants, though it is immoral to sleep with someone elses husband, But she knows its not just sex for her. She knows theres something more.

Lavanya loved him andd wasn't afraid to leave everything behind and follow him where ever he led her.

But Arnav! He married her, and then kept on feeling guilty about it. Don't get me wrong. I love my parents. But if you love someone, shouldn't you fight for them? Shouldn't your parents understand? I think he should have been proud that he fought for his *love*

With Khushi, he sleeps with her, and then tells her nothing is going to happen between them. Yet here, he doesn't fight.
He must have known, there was no hope for Lavanya and him.

Anyways, they meet after two years, and may be they will get together, or may be they wont.
But this time if they do, it will feel Right.

I'm in love with this last chapter and I'm making a second attempt at commenting (copy-saving-pasting all the good stuff is gone though:()
I just loved, loved, LOVED the last few lines
""See you around." She repeated back, moving back to close the door, "Maybe this time for the right."
"For the right." He softly repeated back and watched her disappear behind the door."

Loved everything but the last lines seriously brought a huge smile on my face. Rula rula ke aapne finally smile kara diya. I wish I could hug you right now it was perfect! *hugs* Everything was *waves hands around* amazing. Right from the ending which was the first chapter(-I'm bringing myself to believe the first chapter was the ending for the characters as they were all at a "dead-end" sort of place in their life) to the beginning (last chapter!). I also feel like a phool..err foool because my predictions in my previous comments are now laugh-worthy. Plop!
I do believe in second chances, even third and fourth chances which fate gives us (if we deserve them) and this was such a nice way to show it. Back to the last lines I loved them so much my cousin who was in the room I explained to her second chance-meeting stuff and said these last 2 lines and she said I should write a book and I told her it's from this story I'm reading online. *So hint-hint to you*.

This was a perfect time to write in terms of the weather. After a long winter, spring has finally come. The ending was the feel good-optimistic thinking kind of feeling when the sun is out and bright and weather is warm. (Cheesy much? I mean it though:P) Anywaaays.

This story really had that thing going just like the rest of your stories where you can't wait to read the next chapter. Your writing keeps us going. The mystery too but everything else as well. You make it hard to part with your characters. And I looove your dialogues gosh I can't get over those lines. If I have your permission I'd like to put them on my board in my room. I have all sorts of quotes there. And I will quote you, I mean your alter ego (Mehru) who clearly writes better "feel-good" dialogues :P But Masam writes better witty dialogues coming from a man (i.e. Arnav) from your other stories (Daal(beans) Girana (haaa bad joke).
Thank you for writing this story it was wonderful.

There are a few stories which leave us to think more and more about the characters, and this story is one of them. Hats off to you Masam for creating such a piece of work. Open-endings are always mind-boggling but lovable too, so many options we have ... to each, her own. ;)

I truly wondered whether justice would ever be done to all the characters when all of them are fighting with their own ghosts. After reading your opinion on Lavanya, I do agree with you that it for her own good that she should move on. It's better to be alone than have a heartless person in your life. What Arnav did to her and Khushi is unforgivable but if La tried to make the marriage work it would have been futile. Arnav was not into this marriage and he was not even trying to put any efforts to make it work. It really pinched my heart to see La... in so much pain.

As Arnav had already mentioned that it was a mistake, what I don't understand in his case is, Can lust become love for him? He was not a trustworthy person earlier and had easily broken Lavanya and K's heart. Should K give him a second chance, if the choice ever arises?

The best part for me is that at least K has been able to shake hands with calmness, a rare feeling to have in our modern times. She has become a stronger girl...this is the BEST part for me. She did not take any worse step. Now she's in full control of her own self and this definitely is a plus point for her.

Truly loved the way this story kept on taking new turns and made a new way altogether.

Thanks Masam for sharing this story with us. :)

TC.

I read it but forgot to comment! Oops. -_-

Well, a "they lived happily ever after" end to this SS would seem so inappropriate, but I was still expecting something of the sort.

So, this session with the Doc was spread all over the story! I get it now. It's sad that NK really did die, but it's okay to know that Khushi turned over a leaf. She actually feels washed and clean, in the end, if you know what I mean. And Arnav, again a neighbour? The cycle starts where it stopped. Minus several of the barriers, of course.

You know what the best thing about the end was? It gave you hope - that however bad you might make yourself out to be, however crap your life might be at the moment, some things happen, whether for the wrong, or for the right, that will put everything straight again. And that is heartening.

Love,
Mav

P.S. I love your stories!
P.P.S. It didn't actually feel like an end. More like another beginning. :)

Madam masam that is one a hell a wondeful right thing. When you started about kushi I thought why, masam is trying to make up kushi as natile portman, sure there must be something really disturbing behind both arna and kushi. Didi you cease to surprise me NO.

That was a crotch hiting relality about the past of the both, one in the name of finding the freedom, lost everything knowingly. The other revolving like a top to chase what he wants.

Kushi changing for good and try to curtain the past was so expected, good thing the doc didn't tried to like police trying to take advantage of her. Arnav analysed his good and bad came empty fingured is a nice thing to start it right.

You gave good ray of sunshine to Vee.

Loved the ss. Sorry, like button was screwing in all the chapters.
