Take a well deserved bow! What started as a bleak story with messed up characters ended on such a high note! I was so afraid to start reading this chapter as I was dreading reading about Kushi's death. I am so,happy to see Kushi learned something from Nk's death and turned her life around. She did not let the ghosts from the past (her family) prevent her from living, she learned about what she did wrong because she was still acting in anger to what was done to her. The tough Kushi is still there (I love that she is keeping thepiercings ) but she has matured and is moving on. It was so,sweet that when she woke up, she felt that for the first time someone cared enough for her to try and save her. It was also nice that she realized she should not have come in between La and Arnav. That relationship was a sinking ship already and she was just the catalyst to make it keel over completely. I knew he was attracted by the freedom that she portrayed as I felt he was just like her, a free bird that felt trapped. He tried to work on his marriage but when your heart is not in it, it ain't gonna work. Luckily for La and him, they did not wait for kids to be messed up in their malfunctioning relationship. Fate/karma whatever you call it is something we have no,control on. If it was written for us, it will happen. So it is a beautiful day in the neighbourhood. Kushi is free from her demons, Arnav babu looks like,he is rejenuvated and maybe Devi Mayya has something planned for them. At least it will be on a better playing field where there is nothing to hold them back . , .
Oh I also loved the mention of how he found her soft beauty and innocence that he knew was always there and how she is a survivor. This just feel right!
I have enjoyed all your works to date though this is probably the only one I have been able to read to completion. I would love to read the end of STB if you ever want to open it up to more readers. I simply adored the Arnav in that tale.
