Chapter 14- And the hell Broke Loose
PAST
It was week back from Shimla but Riya still hadn't met with Abhi .She wanted to ask him that why did he had to cancel his plans to pick her up but he was unreachable on his cell phone. She even had visited his home but he wasn't there too. The unsetting felling in her stomach rose again as something very major had to happen .Abhi on the other hand was in Shimla trying to figure out the mess his life had been .He was always compared with his dad in his profession and still wasn't been able to make him proud and the one person who stood by him was also slipping away .After an week he finally decided to go the Mumbai and talk with Riya as an mature individual without judging anyone of them and thus he packed his bags and left for home.
PRESENT
How much had Arjun tried he couldn't let Riya listen to him. Yes he was the one to put the final nail in her relationship with Abhi but it was already broken because of his insecurities and she wasn't ready to listen to him. It was 6 months now and Riya still wasn't ready to listen.
"Sir, Justice Choudhary has come to see you "
"Send Him in"
"Mr Rawte , hope you are fine "He asked while shaking hands with Arjun
"What brings you here Mr. Choudhury "
"Still the same Arjun, I thought living with Riya would make you well mannered"
"Come to the point"
"I just came to see, how are you. "
"Then I think you had enough time gazing me and you can leave"
"Tch- so much Anger, if only you would have not taken any action against me your life would have been much easier na. I told you not to mess with me but you didn't and see the result now .Your wife only knows half the truth and she trusts me more than you"
Arjun eyes were seething with anger but he controlled as it was his office and he couldn't do anything. Sameer had already seen Justice Choudhury moving out and rushed in his cabin to calm his friend.
"What was he doing here Arjun"
"Trying to remind me of my Failure Sam"
"Riya, still doesn't listen, do you want me to talk "
"No Sam, she won't listen to anyone .I have been patient with her but i think its high time now "
"What I did, and how it was manipulated all has to come out in open and then it would be her decision completely. She can stay or she can leave "
Sameer stood there watching his friend finally making the most important and painful decision of his life. He was ready to let Riya go and he cursed the day when they had found about the true face of Justice Chaudhary and had brought it out in the open but as fate would have it the proofs were lost and he was out in the open and Abhi &Riya had separated for ever because of him .He wished that Arjun hadn't listened to him and would have agreed to sponsor Abhi US trip just to get him out of the picture
PAST
There were celebrating the success of ETF and everyone was in a good mood .Abhi thought that it would be the best time to meet Riya, also he wanted to surprise her .But when he entered the venue she was missing and so was Arjun.
Riya wasn't feeling well that day thanks to all the stress in her life and was about to leave when she fainted .Arjun eyes were following her and he knew that she was stressed because of Abhi .He had seen them both in Shimla and hadn't come to pick her up .A part of him rejoiced at the fact that he would be spending more time with her but then there was another part which felt guilty too. Riya throughout the journey was quite and had kept her distance from him. She was all the time with Shree & Chotu.
Arjun had scanned the whole party area but she had been missing for a while now and he was getting worried .He saw her lying on the floor of the empty corridor and hurriedly picked her up and took her to a room .Riya was coming back to her senses and she saw that she was yet again in his arms .
"Arjun, I am fine "
"No you aren't, you are burning with fever .Anyways let me take you the room and then you can rest meanwhile I call the doctor"
"You are stubborn aren't you "She smiled at him and let him take the charge
Both were unaware of the fact that there were 3 people who were watching them closely each having their own motive ' A newspaper Journalist, Justice Choudhury & Abhi. None could hear the conversation but it was enough that Arjun was taking a smiling Riya to a hotel room.
Riya had her head down in shame as she stood in front of her parents. She didn't know how to explain what had happened because in reality she had done no wrong. Yet she felt guilt in putting her parents in such a situation.
Every leading newspaper had pictures of Arjun carrying her and she smiling at him and the articles went on describing the blooming love story of ETF
"I am sorry." she whispered to her parents. "I don't know how this happened."
"Did'.do you like Arjun?" Riya's father asked cautiously. "
"NO!" she quickly refuted the claim. "You know I love Abhi
Riya was apprehensive as she met up with Abhi. She knew that their relationship was strong enough to withstand many obstacles but she wondered whether this would put them over the edge.
"I had fainted and he took me to the hotel room to rest and had even called the doctor." Riya explained, hoping that he would understand.
"I believe you." Abhi said without any hesitation but then he continued on. "It's not that Riya, I just want to know whether you have any feelings for him. Please be honest."
"No! I don't have feelings for him. It's only a case of admiration, nothing more. We are just friends Abhi."
"Really only friends then what were you doing wrapped with him in his shirt in Shimla Riya "
"Abhi you were there."
"Yes I was there and saw everything with my eyes Riya, that why I am asking you if you like him and then just let us end it over here only" Abhi added having no idea from where this sudden anger had come
Riya stood in silence for a minute trying to sink on the words thrown at her from someone who knew her since her childhood.
"No one can come between us Abhi if we trust each other "And with this she ran back to her car the tears now falling freely
Arjun on the other hand didn't not pay heed to any of the articles nor didn't he clarify on anything .He had managed to convince everyone to just ignore this news as it will die down soon. But he had a ulterior motive .He wanted no one to know the truth. Abhi had to go out if the picture if Riya had to become his and he knew that Abhi wouldn't be able to handle it .They made sure that Riya & Arjun should be spotted together or with the team and would act indifferent to it .With time the news would die down the first seeds would be laid
