He stood there, watching the sun set, and the darkness engulfing the environment.
How symbolic!
His life was filled with darkness , a heavy heart, confused mind, and the cherry on the cake, none seemed to be in his control.
He picked his glass of whisky and shook it, before taking the liquid inside his throat. The liquid burned as it trickled inside him, but his physical pain was nothing compared to the mental stress he was going through, and now only this liquid seemed to numb his pain.

"I Love You ... Please don't leave me."
His own voice rang in his head. The plea, which was left, unheard. But, if only he knew, she went away, only to see him happy, only so that he could live a life peacefully, forgetting her and moved on.
Little did he know, she never actually betrayed him, but it was life who betrayed him. How could he not decipher that her words, those bitter words were false! How could he not look in her eyes, like he always did, and catch her lie. Her biggest lie, that she never 'Loved' him?
All she ever did was, just for his sake, his happiness. She left everything for him, and he could not even catch her lying? How could he not see her wilting face when she said those brutal words, that not only pierced his heart, but also hers?
He never deserved love, and maybe, maybe that is why God punished him so tyrannically, that his finally mended heart - or what he thought it to be - got crushed, once again when he gave love another chance.
She left him, but this time he knew why. This time he knew, it was in hands of neither. After all, death is inevitable.
She was diagnosed of leukemia, last stage. But she never lost her hope, her will power and her soothing smile. She knew she would go away, but she wanted to enjoy her last few days the fullest, with her life, her love.

He gulped down his fifth glass of the day, it had now become a daily routine for him. Who would believe, Reyansh Singhania, the biggest and the youngest ever claimed business tycoon, led such a miserable life in reality?
He then strode towards his drawer, took out his daily dose of fluoxetine, gulped it down with water, hoping maybe today he would get a peaceful sleep.
But how could he? For the time being, he had to subside his suicidal tendencies. He breathed deeply, in and out, slowly, as the doctor had told him.
But nothing seemed to be under his control, and a tear leaked from his eye, the tear of love, of want. And soon followed by number of tears, but all numbed by his daily dose of narcotics.
