CHAPTER 7

Khushi was standing by her window...looking at the setting sun, taking in the beauty of the nature. She heard the ring of her mobile. She walked to the table and picked her phone. It was an unknown number...but she picked it up.

"Hello"

Silence from the other end and the line went dead. Khushi was putting the phone on the table when it rang again. She saw the same no. And picked it up again.

"hello. Who is it???"

Then she heard a very small sound...and then she knew who it was. She waited some more time to khow what the other person wanted to say, but nothing came.

"Dont call on this no. again if you dont know how to speak." with that she end the call.

Not even after a second the phone rang again. Khushi picked it up on the third ring.

"What the hell do you want?" she asked clearly irritated.

"Khushi its me arnav , please dont cut the call" he hurriedly said not wanting her to cut the call.

As if i dont know' thought khushi mentally rolling her eyes.

"Arnavji??" She pretended as if she didnt know. "Why didnt you speak before?"

"I...um...uh...i...uh...khush i wanted to...to..."

"Wanted to what arnavji??"

"I am sorry" he said slowly.

Silence...

Silence...

Silence...

"Khushi? Are you there?"

"For what?" she asked.

"For everything i did to you." he closed his eyes.

"Uh huh! And why is it that you want to apologize after 2 years?"

"Can you forgive me ? Please?"he asked not answering her question.

"I heard your apology."

"So have you forgiven me?"

"I said i heard your apology , it dosent mean that i have forgiven you. Anything else you want to tell me?" she said wanting to end this conversation as soon as possible.

"Khushi please!..."

"Anything else mr. raizada?" she asked in stern voice.

She heard his defeated sigh.

"No, goodnight khushi."

"Goodnight. " she cut the call and stared at the phone screen for sometime.' what came over him all of a sudden?' she thought.

Arnav sat on his bed.'What did you think arnav singh raizada that you will say sorry to her and she will come in to your arms?' his mind chided him.This is the starting. He told himself.'and now i have to set somethings right.'

"HP,HP"He shouted. Hp came running to his room.

"Ji, arnav bhaiya?"

"Tell akash to come to my room right now."

Akash knocked on his door.
"Bhai you called me?"

Arnav looked up from his laptop. "Yes, come sit here." Akash sat on the recliner.

"Akash i will ask only once and you will answer me honestly." Akash nodded.

"What happened between khushi and payal two years ago?"

"w..what bhai?"

"Akash tell me now." his voice raised.

"B..bhai payal accused khushi of the same thing you accused her of."

Arnav was confused."what do you mean by that?"

"T..that khushi...khushi was...was after s..shyam." akash closed his eyes, feeling disgusted with his wife.

"What ?"shouted arnav completely shocked. "How could she? Payal knew everything about shyam. She accused her of this even after knowing every thing. Disgusting. And khushi...khushi did everything to save her marriage. " by now arnav was seething in anger at himself and payal.

"I dont know bhai why she did that."

Arnav fisted his palm at his sides. "Go from here Akash."Akash left the room without another word.

'She get betrayed from so many people, only because of me.' thought arnav.

He punched his fist on the nearby wall and closed his eyes."I am sorry khushi." he whispered.
