Laksh starred at the screen of his phone…. It had been more than two days now… he had not seen Anjali and this thought was enough to make him guilty again… he was guilty, yes he was he had promised himself that he would get back at Arnav by breaking his sister… but now he knew that he was in love with her, thanks to his mamu…. His thought again traveled to 3 hrs back when his mamu had come into his room and disturbed his memories of the times he spent with Anjali…

Bitwa you seem to be lost these days said mamu with a sly smile….

Mamu…. Why are u still awake?

Actually I am not able to sleep… today is a very special day for me…. He said smiling at some distant memory….

What is it mamu…? I don't remember anything… moreover mama also dint tell me anything in this regard…..

Cos she dint know abt all this… actually today was the first day I had seen your dad and my wife….. Ah…. I was really angry at that time…. 24 years old angry young man…

Hmmm ok… this was many years back when I was doing an entrepreneur course in the same college as Madhu…. it was after few months that Madhu had told me she liked someone….. First I felt angry but later I thought it was ok as I had met him… your father Pradeep was an assistant lecturer in the college…. All was going fine when one day Madhu came home crying and when asked told me that Pradeep was cheating on her….she told me that she had seen him hugging some girl and had also shouted on her when she had stopped them…. I got angry when I heard all this…. I never even let her finish as I had stormed out of the house…. I knew where to find him and when I reached there I saw Pradeep laughing at something and a girl hitting him on his arm and pouting… I was furious… the first thought which came to me was to pound him but then I wanted him to be as broken as my sister so I decided to something else... I had seen that girl's face and she was cute… she might be a year younger than me I had guessed… I came to know her name was Saroj….

But mamu… she…. Interrupted Laksh….

Wait and listen to it fully….. saying Shashi started off with his flash back

It had taken nearly one month for me and Saroj to become friends…. And another 5 more months of friendship I got the feeling that she likes me…. It was weird... how can a girl fall in love with 2 guys…. But what scared me more were my feelings towards that her…. I knew she made me feel different… but in all these activities I failed to notice that my sister was back to her bubbly ness… I was so engrosses in all revenge thing that I had forgotten the main reason I had decided to do this in the first place…. I knew that Saroj brought in different feeling in me… I couldn't reject that… I was feeling guilty that I had fallen for that girl who had taken my sister's love…. It was more that 2 weeks that I had decided to stop meeting her… these days were like hell… I had joined the shop with bauji and tried to get busy… one day Madhu had called me early and I too reached home to be welcomed by the sound of laughter… I went inside and was shocked to see Pradeep sitting on the sofa with Madhu and Saroj…. I dint know what to do… what surprised me was Madhu's reaction… she was blushing and smiling shyly… my father saw me and called me in and introduced my to them…. I saw Saroj looking at me shocked at first and blushing next… I dint understand what was going on…. My father then shocked me again by telling me that Pradeep has come here to asked Madhu's hand in marriage…. And Saroj is his cousin sister… I was surprised as things dawned on me and started feeling very guilty for what I have done… Saroj dint seem to understand anything… I at the moment though that I wont reveal anything to her… but as luck had to be, Madhu had told everyone abt her misunderstanding few months ago and how Pradeep had shooed her off as she had offended his sister and how she had begged forgiveness from him after knowing the truth…. She had also described my anger in this manner…. All had a good laugh at this except for me and Saroj… she had managed to put 2+2 and had understood everything…. I had seen her eyes well up with tears and she had tactfully wiped it off before anyone saw it… she had pasted a small artificially smile till the end of the evening and had left… I knew I had hurt her… and that hurt me so very much…. I had realized my feelings for her and now wanted to tell it to her also… I was ready to face the consequences… but when I reached her house to talk to her… she was so damn understanding and this increased my guilt…. Somehow I had managed to open up to her and also know her feelings for me….it had taken few more months but I had managed it… then we were married after your parents were married…..

But mamu…. How did you pacify her? Asked Laksh…

That my boy, will know when you need to know…. Saying he gave him a small smile and left the room…. Leaving a very confused Laksh…. This story was so damn similar to his…. But here Arnav was guilty… but he also now understood and accepted his love for Anjali….

Coming out of his thought… he called Anjali…. Hello came the soft voice on the other side…

God I missed this so much he thought… but he had said it aloud for Anjali to hear it…

Laksh…. came the voice…. It was so soft… so painfully, like a prayer… like a plea…. This bought out Goosebumps on his body….. Jaan… he said… his voice held remorse…. And love…..

How are you? She asked again… she dint complain of not picking up her calls or calling back…. She never mourned of him forgetting her… never… this was what he loved abt her and now, this was what increased his guilt….

I missed you… so very much… he said…. It came out as a whisper….. I'm coming to meet you tomorrow…. Love… I need to meet you…. He said with desperation….

Appko puchne ki kya zaroorath hai…. She said… he could feel her blushing…. He just wished she would remain the same after he had told her the reason for his disappearance…..

I'll wait for you… she added… and cut the phone saying bye….. Laksh rested his head on the bed rest and closed his eyes... he knew tomorrow would be a long day…..

Anjali was happy…. Very happy…. Her love was coming to meet her but she did feel a bit strange with his voice… he had never been this way… she thought… this call had bought an end to her insecurities… she had started to fear of losing him… her mind had yelled of betrayal but her heart supported her belief… his call and his love filled voice had filled her heart with immense faith and happiness…. She fell on her bed, trying to sleep as tomorrow would be a very good day……

Arnav felt as thought he was standing on flames… Muskan dancing so passionately with that guy had made him burn…. He was drunk but not so much... he always had great appetite for alcohol…. he was sitting or shd I say sulking as he couldn't digest the view…. He saw them come down and the guy had moved towards the bar… he wanted to talk to her… he had decided to get Muskan whether she wanted or not….

Muskan was tired and thirsty…. Armaan had gone to get himself a shot and water for her…. She had grabbed a glass as soon as Armaan came forward and gulped its contents….

Yaar… what the hell….. she heard Armaan whine…

What happened….

That was vodka…. He said… this is water…. girl cant you even wait? He added stretching his arms a bit showing her another glass…… Muskan took the other glass and gulped it down too… now happy…. She smiled cheekly….

Armaan nodded his head at the childishness of his dear friend…Here take this…. Saying Armaan pressed a room card in her hand…..

For what?

You are a bit tipsy…. I don't want you to go home in this state…. I have booked this room till tomorrow…. So just head there and sleep…. I'm leaving to another place… he smirked at the thought of having a colorful night and left….

Muskan moved towards the elevator to get some sleep…… she was a bit dazzled…

Arnav saw the guy give her something and he guessed it to be some card…. He saw him smirk and knew what they were up to… in no freaking way are they gonna spend the night together… he told himself as he moved towards the elevator, trying to reach Muskan but to his luck the lift door closed on his face…. He ran up the stairs looking at the lift's floor display as he passed each floor…. It was nearly the 6^th floor when he saw her coming out of the lift… he was panting… he bent down slowly placing his hands on his knees, trying to catch his breath…. He saw Muskan enter into a room and decided to follow….

The alcohol was making Muskan a bit drowsy…. She had never consumed it… so the effect was nearly instant…. She went inside the room and pushed the door… she dint notice that the door dint close fully… she stood near the mirror…. Wow... you look beat… she said aloud looking at her reflex ion… she moved closer to the mirror and touched the reflection… she smiled sadly as she stepped back… she turned around and her eyes feel on a neatly placed bath robe… she removed her clothes and wore the robe and tied the knots…. She needed some sleep…. She thought as she moved towards the bed….

Arnav somehow managed to catch his breath and move towards the room… he found it opened and thought it was for that guy… he was furious… he couldn't even think of anyone with Muskan…he slowly opened the door and stood frozen with the sight in front of him… he saw her removing her clothes… she stood wearing a baby pink bra and panties of the same color… her skin color and her inners color matched each other… it was as thought she wore nothing…. He then saw her wear the robe and moved towards the bed. He quickly moved inside and bolted the door…. He dint want any disturbance…..

Muskan… sorry…. Kushi was about to sit on the bed when she was pulled against someone…. She looked up to see Arnav glaring at her… but she could also see some other emotion in his eyes….

HI…. She said….but he kept on glaring…. What are you doing... leave me… she said trying to remove his fingers which held her arm..

Never… he growled…. She could feel his eyes bore into her… and suddenly her whole body was engulfed in heat…. God knows from where…. His mere action of looking at her was doing strange things to her…. Her hand on its own accord moved and placed her palm on his cheeks…. She saw his eyes turning soft by this action…. His hold on her got a bit lose…. She dint know what was wrong….. the only word he spoke to her was Never but that word sounded like a promise, a prayer, a longing, a passion, possessiveness and most of all love…. His eyes were warm and held so much passion and love that she couldn't stop herself from drowning into them….. She stood on her toes and slowly pressed her lips on his… that was electrifying…. Her toes curled and she felt one leg slightly lift up…. Wow… this happens only in fairy tails she thought as she lost herself in the kiss….

Arnav wanted to shout, yell and force her to accept him, but nothing happened… he was speechless when he looked at that innocent face… she looked exactly like how she looked that other night in the pub…. He saw the change of emotions in her eyes… but what shocked him was her touch…. She had so softly and lovingly placed her palm on him, he just melted…. All his anger, jealously and insecurity melted and he felt only love, love for and from this maiden…. He felt her lips on his and he willingly drowned in the whirlpool of desire….. as he wound his hand on her waist supporting her….

Kushi got up when it was still dark…. She looked at the time and came to know it was 4 in the morning… she felt an arm on her waist and knew it was Arnav's… she remembered what happened last night… it was beautiful… magical… she never knew getting physical could be so special…. No getting physical with the man you love makes it special said her heart… she smiled… she turned around and pressed her lips on his forehead…. He smiled in his sleep…. She again kissed him but now on his lips… he unconsciously licked her lips shocking her… she withdrew thinking he was awake, but calmed down knowing he was asleep… she clucked as she saw him frown.. Muskan he murmured as he tried to bring her closer…. But this small word had bought her back to senses…. she closed her mouth with a hand controlling the gasp of realization… the realization of making love with her sister's love…. Yes she remembered she was not Muskan but Kushi, her sister not only sister but her twin sister….She couldn't control her tears… but she had too… otherwise Arnav will come to know and all her plan will drown in the gutters.. she slowly wriggled out of his arms, reached the washroom, cleaned herself up and left… she dint look once at Arnav fearing that her emotions might take control once again… she dashed out of the room, the hotel to her room…. She wanted to cry so much that her tears would wash out this guilt which was eating her up….

Morning came with sun rays disturbing Arnav's sleep…. He rubbed his eyes to clear his vision… today he felt rejuvenated… something was so different and he knew what it was… he looked beside him but frowned as he found the place empty… he thought she was in the wash room… he smiled at the memory of last night. With every touched he had promised to be loyal, with every kiss he had pronounced himself hers and with every movement he had made her his and as they climaxed, had shared their souls with each other…. He was satisfied… his heart and soul had found a place to stay…. Muskan he repeated… as he caressed the place she slept last night… he felt restless as he dint find her coming out… he got up and knocked the bathroom door but found it open… he moved towards the table to get his mobile… but found some thing written under it….

That was a fab night dude... sorry couldn't stay more needed to rush out… it read… she had written it with lipstick on the white side table…. Arnav kept on staring at it… he touched the writing and the lipstick stuck his fingers, blurring the writing… his eyes stung with tears seeing this… his heart cried as realization dawned that she dint feel the same way as he… she dint find it special as he… it was just sex for her….but for him it was everything…. He closed his eyes as he sank on the floor, broken and tears ran down his cheeks….

Kushi was in the airport… she was waiting for Laksh…. He had called her up to tell her his arrival at Delhi… he sounded excited… she saw him coming out and waved to get his attention… Laksh came towards her and instantly hugged her… he wanted to share this with Kush… he knew that she would not be happy with all this but he had too… Kush was very important to him. He took her to a caf and told her everything he did in the past 2 months… he saw her listening to him…. She never made a sound or tried to stop him… this really surprised him a lot… he was expecting her to punch his face for doing such a heinous act but nothing came his way….

Kushi was shocked to listen to all this… she had done something similar too…. All for the love of Muskan… but what happened was something different… what ever she had planned, she never shared it with Laksh… she knew he would never agree… but she was surprised her brother did something similar… only difference was he had and was able to disclose this and she would never be able to do so…. She came out of her thoughts when Laksh called her…

What do you think? He asked her…

Hmmm….ok she said. Kushi dint listen anything to what he said after the story… she was too busy in her thoughts….

Ok now chall… we are going to her house...saying he paid the bill and pulled Kushi towards the car…. Kushi dint know where they were going. She just sat in the car not knowing she was gonna see the guy who she dint want to see at all……

Arnav got out of the room still numb… he dint know what power that girl held on him that had broken him so much… his mind kept on playing what he read. He climbed on to his car and decided to leave home… but he dint know where home was…the place she wasn't there was not home for him…. he stopped the car and turned around to go back to the hotel…. He went to reception and asked for the same room.

Sir that room was just emptied… we have cleaning to do…. Pls there is another room available offered the receptionist…

I want that room… don't clean it…. just give me the darn key he yelled

What is the matter Richa asked the manager who came out cos of the noise

Sir, he wants room no 607 sir…. But it was just vacated and not yet cleaned…. She said a bit tensed…

Sir you see……. Started the manager but was stopped by Arnav….. Look I want that room…. Just name the price and it is yours…. Don't you damn clean anything of the room…? He growled…. He was irritated…

Ok sir…. Said the manager giving the card to Arnav…. Rich people and their mood he mumbled as he saw Arnav take the card and run up to the room….

Arnav reached the room and it was same as he had left it… the bed cover was still crush and pillows were still on the floor… he moved towards the bed removing his shirt and then his pant…. He took the robe she was wearing last night and wore it… it still had her fragrance…. He hugged it closer to himself and lay on the bed… he felt closer to her in this room…. He felt some what in peace… just then the phone rang and it was the manager asking him the no. of days he'd be staying in that room, Arnav said forever and slammed the phone down…..

Kushi and Laksh were welcomed by nani and mami…

Bitwa kesen ana hova? Asked nani smiling at Laksh and Kushi…

Wo….. hum…. Stammered Kushi as she was scared… she dint want the Raizadas to call her Muskan in front of Laksh…

Me Anjali se shadi karna chahta hun said Laksh not wanting to beat around the bush….. Nani and mami's eye widened with shock…. Par bitwa this proposal had to be bought in by ur parents right? Asked nani again eyeing Laksh with a bit of hesitation…she dint want this relationship without the concent of his parents or elders…

I know nani but I wanted to know what you feel and also talk to Anjali abt this in private… if you don't mind said Laksh…

Hmmm sure bitwa….just wait saying she picked the phone and called Anjali to come down…..

Kushi's heart was thudding… she dint want to see Arnav today…. Actually, she never wanted to see him again in her life… just then she saw Anjali run down the stairs… but her eyes were still on the top floor waiting for some one… this was not missed by Nani…. Bitiya Arnav is not here…. He might be coming in later she said smiling at Kushi…

Kushi just smiled awkwardly…. Before she could say anything Laksh got up and requested to speak to Anjali alone…. He took her to the lawn and sat down on the chair…. Anjali was blushing and her eyes were looking down… Laksh drank down this sight… he missed her so very much… he wanted to live the moment before he tells her everything…..

Kushi and Laksh came back to Lucknow. Laksh was very happy…. Anjali not only understood him but also forgave him and accepted to marry him…. The only thing which hurt him was her tears which welled up in her beautiful eyes when he told her every thing… but all his doubts and insecurities disappeared when she had hugged him and accepted his proposal…. Laksh had called up his mamu and mama and informed all this… they had decided to visit the Raizadas in a weeks time…

Kushi was happy for her brother… but was lost somewhere may be in that room where her soul resides she thought… she smiled sadly at her predicament… she felt like running and hugging Arnav and confessing her love to him a hundred times but she knew this was not possible… just then she was disturbed by a hug.. she turned around to see a smiling Muskan….

How are you musky… she asked as she saw her smile after 9 months…. How she had missed this smile… for this smile she could sacrifice hundreds of Arnavs

Good kush… how are you? She asked as she pecked Kushi's cheek

Her love was only one sided… nothing else… she smiled at Muskan

It was after a month of the meeting and the elders decided that Laksh and Anjali would get engaged in Lucknow itself…. The Raizada clan came down to their house…… the engagement was planned out nicely…. Arnav was very happy…. The minute he heard abt Anjali's Laksh's engagement, he knew he'd be seeing Muskan…. And now if he saw her…. There is no way she was leaving her… she was his for ever if she liked it or not….. He had decided all this… he knew they would reach Lucknow tomorrow as the engagement was in 3 days he couldn't wait…… he had waited for the past one month and now dint know how this one night would pass…. He called the hotel and informed them of his vacating the room…. He wouldn't need it anymore … he smirked at his thought…..

The Gupta house and the Kumar house were bursting with activities…. Muskan was very happy… she would see Arnav again today… she couldn't curtail her enthusiasm and Kushi knew abt all this…. She was much tensed… she dint know what to do? All her plan will go down the drain if Arnav saw her and Muskan together…. She was so worried that she missed out a white SUV park outside her house…. She was shocked when she felt herself being pulled, and she slammed into a hard but warm chest… she knew who it was…. Arnav she whispered….

Arnav smiled as he heard her say out his name even before she looked up… he had made his mind to talk to her before the engagement… and finding her stand in the lawn all by herself was the icing in the cake… he had jogged towards her but found her lost but now he was happy or to say his heart was at peace to know she still remembered him… Muskan…. How dare you leave me that day with that stupid message… he growled….he waited for her to say something but it never came….. She stood still frozen... he shook her to get some response…. Muskan…. How could you leave me after such a passionate night? He asked her again… but his voice had more of pain than anger…

Kushi came back to her senses… she was suddenly very scared…. She dint want Muskan to hear all this… she very well knew if she did this would affect her…. She jerked his hands from her shoulder and ran into the house….

Arnav was pissed off… he needed answers and he was gonna get it…. he ran behind her. All this was seen by Muskan who had come to the lawn to call Kushi... but she was shocked to see Arnav holding Kushi so close…. She had run into the room after hearing Arnav…. She dint want to hear more… she couldn't believe that her sister would cheat on her…. All these thoughts swam in her brain, as she hit the bed and closed her eyes…..

Kushi entered into her room…. She was so tensed… what would she say to Arnav… she never expected him to come to this house today…. She was thinking of many things when she noticed Muskan lying on the bed….

Musky are you alright? She asked in concern…..

As though you care… Muskan replied in a cold voice as she got up…. Her eyes were wide open and anger flashed though them…..

Musky…. W..wha…what happed… asked Kushi dreading the worst…

You happened… she yelled back… you what did you do???? She spat venomously as she shook with rage

Musky please tell me…. I don't understand….

Oh you don't understand is it??? I'll tell you… she said coming near Kushi…. I'm your sister Muskan… you understand? She yelled patting her chest as thought introducing her….. You are Kushi… my sister… she said poking her finger on her forehead…. And the guy you were so passionately involved last time was Arnav… she spate again…. My Arnav… your sister's love… now did you understand she yelled… Kushi was shocked…. Not for Muskan knowing the truth, but at Muskan's state…. Her hair was dishelmed, her duppata was thrown and her suit was so crushed… her eyes were wild and seeing this, Kushi knew Muskan was gonna have one of her attacks…. This scared her…. She had never seen that look on his face…. Angad was the guy with whom she stayed all this 9 months… he had taken care of her so very much… he had always been supportive and understanding… if she dint have Arnav, she would have defo fallen for him…. But today after so many years, Angad had given her this look…. She saw him leave the place without even talking or asking her anything…. Before she could go behind him, she was pulled by Arnav into another place...

Don't leave me and go Muskan, he pleaded holding her close to him… Muskan felt happy… she was a bit uncomfortable but she dint care abt it…. this was Arnav the guy with whom she lost her virginity… the guy who she loved she told her self…. I'm sorry…. For what ever I did…. Just don't leave me… he then bent down on his knees, held her hand and said…. Marry me Muskan, and I promise you to love you for eternity….

Muskan was in cloud 9…. She had waited for this for so many days… but she did feel something missing…. She just brushed it out and accepted his proposal….. he got up and kissed her on her forehead…. Jaan I love you saying he hugged her…. Muskan never opened her mouth… she hugged him back and smirked at the person standing near the door and looking at them… she closed her eyes happy on her victory…..

Kushi had followed Muskan to explain…. But as she was to enter the room, she was shocked at the sight in front of her…. Arnav was hugging Muskan and confessing his love…. She closed her eyes unable to see anymore… she fled the room as standing in that place was impossible for her….. Kushi reached her room and slumped down on the bed… she knew that this was the end of the line…..she had to leave if she wanted Muskan and Arnav to live happily…. Laksh would understand… thinking she packed her bags… she wrote a letter saying she was called back immediately and had to leave…. Saying she left the house…. While going out, she saw Muskan and Arnav laughing…. It seems Arnav had asked her dad Muskan's hand in marriage and the whole house was happy…. She smiled as she hid herself behind the front door… Musky hum hamare zindagi ki Khushi tumhe de rahe hai aur apneliye thodisi Muskan lejarahe hai… thinking, she caressed her stomach slightly…. She left the house and got an auto and left…. She had called lavanya asking her to stay in her house for today…. she closed her eyes as she remembered how 4 days before she had found out she was pregnant….. yes… it was nearly 45 days and she had not got her periods… 45 days before meeting Arnav…. 45days of her being happy… 45 days of being Kushi….. She was not kushi anymore… she was some girl who had lost her soul and life… she was a living corpse, and would now live for her child….
