The only reason one can be sure of a happy ending here is because the girl involved in the hero's sister. Otherwise an unhappy ending would be far more likely.
I was surprised that the Khannas, who must be very well off if the father owns a group of industries, were so casual about the way their daughter was guarded. These days, any rich family would be much more careful, and would probably have a security guard in attendance whenever the kid goes out.
