This is going to be my most pathetic comment on the most amazing of FFs... Coz I dont think any words of mine can do justice to what you have written. Bas!
When we think of redemption, we think of the hate marriage and the post hate marriage track. Very rarely all the hate, insults, harshness from the first day ArHi met to the New Years' track is addressed. And thank you for doing so. The things Arnav did to Khushi... 😡 😭
We never got a redemption of any sort in the show. Any. What we got was a half baked sorry in the middle of the night post kidnapping. Just one word and all was fine 😲 I always tell my friends, I have no issues with Khushi forgiving Arnav so easily that night. That is Khushi's nature. Hell! She fell in love with Arnav and continued to be in love with him when he was nothing short of a brute! My problem with the show was how on earth did Arnav forgive himself so easily? You gave me that. Arnav not only apologizing but making amends to heal what was wounded, to fix what was broken... Thank you. Thank you.
Khushi had told him in their second meeting at the dargah that the day he realises he is nothing in comparison to the powers in the universe, that he is not the ultimate master of his Fate, she wont be around to see it. But we never got that in the show. Arnav always had Khushi at his disposal, yes at his disposal... as a target of his hate or the focus of his love, she was always there besides him. You gave me a Khushi who is so afraid of what Arnav can do with his words and actions to her delicate heart (I remembered this conversation of ours where you had mentioned how you always bring in the 'fear' element in your stories coz that should be Khushi's natural reaction towards Arnav's actions and advances after all the brutality he meted out to her) that she removes herself from his world and if she happens to share the same space as him she removes herself from his world by silencing her words as well as expressions... Arnav finally realises how much he wants what she is holding back. Thank you for giving me this. Thank you.
He has insulted her so much about her aukat... I liked it that he didnt insult her social standing further by using his name, and money to resolve all her financial troubles. I liked it and Khushi did too. One day, he will give her all the riches without offending her in any way. The Raizada name added along with hers will give him all the rights 😳
And then the little things he did... giving her more respect and demanding it for her from others too, being at her disposal- literally picking her and dropping her, going to her to allay her fears in darkness, etc, making her happy by staying in the background (just like the silver coins episode... Sigh...) getting her jaleibis, not intruding on her private space, he did all that. But what he did the best was come clean about his involvement in Payal's broken marriage and everything that happened consequentially. For someone who is arrogant and infallible, this act of honesty and bravery won me over and Khushi too 👍🏼 Thank you for making Arnav redeem himself in these small actions rather than through great acts of penance.
Thank you for showing how Anjali felt responsible for how Arnav turned out and what happened with Khushi. She had taken Arnav's responsibility. It is but natural to feel that she had fallen short in fulfilling her responsibilities. Thank you for showing NK as the astute, but funny young man whom we had begun to relate to. He would have fought for Khushi with Arnav if she had shown any interest in him. But he also knows how to get Arnav's heart and mind working to make him realise how to win Khushi over coz she likes him. Thank you for making Payal a sister who can read her sister's tiniest of facial expressions, who can hear what Khushi never said, who can feel what Khushi never revealed and who would keep family at bay to give her sister time to mend things with the... unaccepted yet wanted... love of her life... Thank you for keeping Shyam away 😃
In the show Khushi who was the agony aunt to one and all, never really had any one to share her sorrows and desires. She absorbed everyone's words and locked her own in her heart. I am not surprised she resorted to a diary to write down her hurt and hopes. And who would read it but the man who would first intentionally develop an amnesia of her words to save himself from the duniya bhar ka guilt and sorrow that would come as a package deal with acknowledging and accepting her words? That she distancing herself was the cue for this duffer to realise that this sanka devi, this pagal Khushi had reached the end of her tether and meant what she said this time round. I am glad just like him that he read the diary. Coz I am sure he would have 'run' after a Khushi who would have moved 'miles' away, but it could have been too late to reach her then *shudders*
Phew! Khushi is glad too that he read her diary. At the most basic level it just showed that he cares enough. Bas... 😊
Antt bhala toh sab bhala 😃 Arnav Khushi hamesha ❤️
Now to the final thing, I loved how you wrote this story, the switching between dates and tiems you did, all the metaphors you used, all the PnP quotes you sued, all the words that you strung together gracefully to give a poetic effect, and that extra edge you gave the SS with a complicated sentence housing simple sentiments. 👍🏼
I loved everything about this SS. Bas!
PS: More than a thousand word comment 😲
