Chapter 21:
A lot of days went by. Sharon and Swayam had grown closer. Their arguments continued but they were lesser than before. They laughed about random things, remembering their past. They couldn't believe it themselves. Sharon didn't want to get close to him and get her heart broken once more.
One morning, both of them were doing their own work. Sharon looked at Swayam. "Sway?" she called. "Hm?" Swayam asked, without looking up from his laptop. "I think you should leave." Sharon said. This made Swayam look up. "Well I'm not going to." Swayam said. "Swayam! Why don't you get it? You see, I'm almost fine now. I just have to go to the doctor after 4 days. Lilly can take me there." Sharon said, looking away from him. "Why are you saying this? You know that I wanted to take you there!" Swayam said. "Swayam, why are you making this harder on me? I don't want to go through the whole thing again. I don't want to become close with you." Sharon said. "I don't care. I won't leave until you start walking properly again." Swayam said. "SWA..." Sharon began when Swayam's phone rang. He answered. "Hii mom!!" Swayam said. "Hi Swayam! I'm back from England beta! But your dad will return only after a month!" his mom said. "Yea, okay." Swayam said. "So you're at Rey's house right? It's been a long time since I met him. I'll come there to see him and you." His mother said. "Ma, I'm not at Rey's." Swayam said. "Huh? Then kahan pe ho tum?" his mother asked. "I am at Sharon's house." Swayam said. "What? How come you are there?" his mom asked. "you never wanted to go to her house after the breakup didn't you?" Swayam looked at Sharon for a second before answering. Sharon wasn't listening to him. She was listening to music. "Ma, please." Swayam said. "What beta? Why are you there? Tell me." His mom said. "Ma, Sharon fractured her arm and leg. I've been looking after her for a month." Swayam said. "Oh my god! How did this happen?" his mom asked. "She fell off the stairs." Swayam said. "Accha ask her to take care. And you come after she becomes completely alright." His mom said. "Yea, Sharon has been asking me to leave. But I won't." Swayam said. "Okay, bye. I have some work to do. I'll call you later. Love you." His mom said. "Yea, bye ma. Love you too." Swayam said and hung up the phone. "Mom." Swayam said to Sharon. "I know. How is she?" Sharon asked. "She's good. She returned from England today." Swayam said. "Awesome. Why don't you go meet her?" Sharon asked. "I know what you're trying to do. Trying to get me out of here. But no, that won't happen. Because my mom herself asked me to come only after you heal completely." Swayam said. "Ughh! Why do you have to know me so well?" Sharon asked. Swayam smirked at Sharon. "Hey, can we please go to the living room? I'm bored of sitting here on this bed!" Sharon said. "Sure, here, let me help you." Swayam said. They talked for some time. The door bell rang. "I'll see who it is." Swayam said, and got up. "It must be lilly. She said she'll come visit me." Sharon said. Swayam opened the door to be faced by a huge bouquet of roses. Dark pink. Almost red but they weren't fully red roses. There was a card attached to it. Swayam took the bouquet from the boy who had brought the roses. " It's for Sharon Singhania." The boy said. "Thanks. Who sent it?" Swayam asked. "I don't know, sir." The boy said. "Okay, thankyou for bringing it." Swayam said, and signed the paper which the guy had brought. He then closed the door and went beside Sharon. "This is for you itseems."Swayam said. "Oh my god! It's so beautiful! Who sent it?" Sharon asked, taking the bouquet from him. She admired the roses and then took out the card. It read:
For Sharon, my love. Get well soon baby.. I miss you.
And I love you more.
So you better get that cast off soon and try to win me in Air hockey.

Sharon smiled and blushed reading the note. At the same time, Swayam was reading the note from behind Sharon and was fuming with anger. He immediately went to the sink and splashed water on his face. "Swayam, calm down. Sharon's not yours. CALM. DOWN." Swayam said, and calmed himself. He went back to Sharon. "So who's it from?" he asked, as if he didn't know a thing. "From Ashish. So sweet of him na. Look at these flowers. They're so fresh and beautiful." Sharon said. "Yea, thank god he didn't send red roses." He said a little loudly. "What?It was a sweet gesture to send this to me. You don't have to care about what my boyfriend sends to me alright!" Sharon said. "Yea, why should I care?" Swayam said. Sharon glared at him. She called Ashish. "Hey. I got the flowers. I love them." Sharon said. "I'm glad you like it. Now take that note very seriously kay!" Ashish said. "Ofcourse. This time I'm the one who's winning." Sharon said. They had a really fun conversation before she hung up the phone. Swayam's face was expressionless. "Had a fun time talking to your BOYFRIEND?" Swayam asked. "I always have fun talking to him. Unlike some people who I hate talking to." Sharon said. "Are you indirectly talking about me?" Swayam asked. "Are you so unsure?" Sharon asked. Their argument was interrupted by another door bell. "Who's it now?" Swayam asked, and opened the door.
To his surprise, it was his mom. "Ma, you? Over here?" Swayam said, and hugged his mom. "Yea, do you think I don't care about Sharon? You thought that I'll just ask you to take care of her and not come see her?"his mom asked. "Swayam, who's it?" Sharon asked, sounding distant because she was too lazy to turn around and look. "Look for yourself." Swayam said. Swayam's mom went in front of Sharon. "Aunty! Aap?" Sharon asked, shocked but happy at the same time. "Haan, mai bhi apni beti ko dekhna chahti thi. Aisa bhi koi neeche girta hai kya?" his mom asked. "Kya karoon? I was in a hurry." Sharon said. She tried getting up to touch Swayam's mother's feet but his mother stopped her. "What are you doing?" she asked. "You don't have to do this and all. A hug is more than enough." She said and hugged Sharon. "It's been such a long time since we met." Sharon said. "yea, aaj aa hi gayi na?" his mom said. "Haan, finally. Aap please aapke bte ko apne saath leke jaayiye. Ye mujhe bahot tan karta hai." Sharon said. "Really? Ruko, I'll slap him." His mom said, and looked at Swayam. "Swayam ,don't you dare trouble my daughter okay?" she said. This just seemed like old times. Swayam looked at the both of them and was amused. No matter how many years have passed, these two people always turned against him when they were together. Just to irritate him ofcourse. And he secretly enjoyed it.
"Sharon, I've made your favorite Aloo ke parate for you!" his mom said. "Really aunty? Wow, I missed having them." Sharon said. She could eat with her left hand now. "This is so yumm!" Sharon said. "I know you love it. That's why I made them for you." His mom said. Swayam just smiled at them. The three of them were having lunch at the dining table. Swayam's mom suddenly noticed the roses. "Oh, who are they from?" she asked. "Oh aunty, they're from Ashish. My boyfriend." Sharon said. "Oh, he has pretty good taste." His mom said, and then slowly looked at Swayam who had a hurt expression on his face. She knew her son. Why wasn't he admitting that he still loved Sharon. "We'll be getting engaged soon." Sharon said. Swayam almost choked on his food. Sharon never told anything of this sort to him. How can she hide such a huge thing from him? Why does he care anyway? "I know honey. I met your father at the conference. He told me." Swayam's mom said. Swayam stared at his mom. Everyone knew, and they didn't bother telling him. Even his mom. He was so upset. "Why did you hide this from me Sharon?" Swayam asked. "What's the point in telling?" Sharon asked. "I have a right to know. I'm your..friend." Swayam said. "You didn't have to hide this from ME." "When you can hide other important stuff, why can't i?" Sharon asked. "Look Shar.." Swayam began, but his mom cut him. "Don't fight. Let's have out lunch peacefully. We'll talk about this later." She said. "I don't want to have lunch. I'm not hungry anymore." Swayam said, and got up from that place and shut himself up in the guest room. He wasn't supposed to be this angry. Or upset.
But why was he feeling so uneasy? So tensed. Like he didn't want Sharon to go away from him. He had to stop feeling like this. From this moment.
Heyyy guys! So i updated this FF. I know it's really short. The next one will be longer i promise. And one more thing, i was so disappointed with the way the comments only came upto one page.
