Sharon heard her alarm ring and woke up! She looked at the time and freaked out like she did everyday. Then she remembered that she didn't have to go to work. Thanks to her fracture. How she hated it!!!! She looked around the room and her eyes went on the couch. Swayam was fast asleep. She smiled thinking about how he had made her her favourite food and taken care of her. She didn't want to wake him up and so she tried to get out of bed herself and then proceeded towards the bathroom. It was very difficult since she had injured her arm and leg. She had so much difficulty walking even with crutches. Before she could walk even 5 steps, she heard a noise. Swayam had woken up. He sat up straight looking at Sharon.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" Swayam asked, going and supporting Sharon on himself. Sharon got scared for a second with the way he was acting. "Um...I was going to the bathroom. I need to brush my teeth, take a shower, you know.." Sharon said, shrugging. "Oh, Then why didn't you wake me up? I'm here to help you till the bathroom..." Swayam said. "Oh it's totally alright. I didn't want to disturb you. I can manage by myself. "Yea I can see how you are managing." Swayam said, sarcastically. "Please go back to sleep. I am trying, can't you see?" Sharon asked, a bit annoyed. "Okay fine fine!" Swayam said, still not leaving her side. Swayam helped her till the door. "Thanks." Sharon said, smiling a bit. "Anytime." Swayam said. Swayam gave her her towel. Sharon was locking the door. "Don't lock it." Swayam said. "Why?" Sharon asked. "Because if something happens to you, how will I come inside?" Swayam asked. After a small argument Sharon left the door closed but unlocked. Swayam went and made coffee for himself and for Sharon. He came back into the room when he heard things falling in the bathroom. "Sharon? You okay?" Swayam asked. "Yea, I'm good, thanks." Sharon said, from the bathroom. "Do you want me to come in?" swayam asked. Sharon didn't answer and she came out to the room with a lot of difficulty. Swayam handed her the coffee. "Thanks." Sharon said. "waise, what did you ask me?" Sharon said. "well..."Swayam started but Sharon didn't let him finish. "Are you my husband?" Sharon asked. "No." Swayam replied. "Are you my boyfriend?" Sharon asked. "No, I'm not." Swayam replied. "Then please refrain from asking me questions like how you asked me a while back." Sharon said. "I'm sorry. Aage se I won't. It wasn't intentional. I was just worried about you." Swayam said. "Agar tumhe kuch ho jaata toh? Agar tum gir jaati?" Swayam asked. "Toh kya Swayam?? Why do you have to care for me?? Really, you shouldn't have come here in the first place." Sharon said. "I don't want to listen to you. I'm gonna stay here till you get well." Swayam said. "Whatever." Sharon said, returning back to drinking her coffee, though she could feel something inside. She didn't know what that feeling was. But it definitely wasn't new.
Swayam had decided to work from home, Sharon's home to be exact. And Sharon had no choice, but to do the same. She couldn't just sit simply. She was not that person who could just sit around and do nothing for hours together. "Swayam you can go to your office. I can take care of myself." Sharon said, and tried to make him go. But Swayam was not giving in. "NO WAY. You can stop trying, Shar!" Swayam said. "Shut up." Sharon said, but she had a small smile on her face because Swayam didn't want to leave her. Suddenly the door bell rang. Sharon wondered who it was at this time of the day. Swayam got up and opened the door. "KRIAAA!" Sharon exclaimed, when she saw her. "Shar!!! I hate you! Who asked you to get your arm and leg fractured?" she asked. "And who asked you to come here when your supposed to be taking rest?" Sharon asked back. "Oh my god! You are soo..." Kria began "Sharonish??" Sharon completed for her. They had a good laugh for sometime. "Anyway I came by to tell you that I'm leaving to my mom's place. And I will be there till after the baby is born. " Kria said. "That's amazing Kri! You mom will take good care of you. But make sure you skype me and call me everyday!" Sharon said. "Ofcourse! You know I can't go a day without talking to you." Kria said. "I have to leave now. Bye Sharon, Bye Swayam." "Bye bhabhi!" Sharon said, as Kria was leaving. "Ugh...I'll never get used to this. And you will never stop calling me that from time to time." Kria said, as she hugged Sharon and left. "Wow, it felt so good seeing you both like this after a long time." Swayam said. "Some people never change when it comes to the people they love." Sharon said. "But you've changed, Sharon." Swayam said. "I haven't, to the people I love." Sharon said. "Does that mean that you don't love me anymore?" Swayam asked, without thinking. He didn't know what made him ask that. He had made it clear that he didn't love her. "You don't then why should I?" Sharon said, not giving him an exact answer. "You didn't answer my question." Swayam said. "You want to hear an answer. I d..." Sharon started, but then Sharon's phone rang. A smile crept on her face on seeing the caller ID. "Ashish!!! Babe! I missed you!! How are you?" Sharon asked, very happy. "I'm fine...How are you?" Ashish asked. "Well, I feel amazing except for the fact that I have a cast on my arm and leg." Sharon said, nodding her head. "WHATTT???? A fracture??? Why didn't you tell me?? And who is there to take care of you? I'm coming there right now. I can finish my work later." Ashish said. "Hey, hey! Slow down! I'm fine kay. Your work is more important. If you want you presentation to be the best, stop worrying about me, alright? And I have so many people to take care of me!" Sharon said. While they talked, Swayam was getting more and more angry. He had gotten his answer. Sharon hated him. She behaved normally to every other person except HIM. "Look at how she's talking to that Ashish!" Swayam wondered. But why was he even bothered? He was clear that he had no more feelings for her. He came back from his dreamworld. "Who is there then?" Ashish asked. "Yea, well. Lily is here!" Sharon said. Swayam was shocked because she hadn't used his name. "Okay, then. I got to go. Bye. Love ya!" Ashish said. "Byee! Take care!" Sharon said, and hung up the phone. She found Swayam looking at her. "What?" she asked. "Why did you lie to him?" Swayam asked. "About what?" Sharon asked, as if she didn't know what he was talking about. "About who was taking care of you." Swayam said. "Look, it's none of your business alright! Do your work." Sharon said, as she went back to doing her work.
After lunch, Sharon was taking a nap while Swayam watched Tv in the living room. He didn't know why, but he got up and stood in front of a locked door. He knew very well where the key was. And he knew why Sharon kept that room locked all the time. She never let anyone use that room, as far as he had heard. Actually, no one even noticed there was room over there. Because Sharon was so smart and had painted the door the colour of the walls of the room outside it. He wanted to go inside that room. So he took the key from where Sharon had hidden it, and opened the door. As soon as he opened the door, a flash of memories came in front of him. This was the room which Sharon and Swayam had spent most of their time in. It was their bedroom. When he and Sharon were together, Swayam practically lived in her house. Him and Sharon had planned a lot for this room. They were going to paint the walls a red colour, stick some wallpaper on one wall. And get a 3-D tv and what not. They had already painted the walls red. He could remember how they had splashed paint on each other and most of the paint was on them than on the walls. He smiled. He went and opened the closet door. Only a few dresses of Sharon hung. And they were only the dresses which Swayam had brought her. Everything he had brought her was in this room. He even saw the bracelet which he gifted her for this birthday. "That means she came into this room." Sharon said. He then stood facing one wall. A huge photo frame was placed in the middle surrounded by many small ones. He could remember Sharon's smiling and cheerful face, telling him how they were going to hang every good photo of theirs over here. There was one photo of them but the other frames were empty. And the bed, she hadn't changed the sheets at all. It was still like the last time it was. He didn't want to remember that day. It was a day he regretted till now. The day he broke up with Sharon. His mind kept flashing back to that day.
Flashback:
It was 6 and he knew Sharon was home from work when he heard the door click. He didn't want to do this but he had to. Sharon entered the room and was delighted to see Swayam home so early. "Hey your home so early! How come??" Sharon asked, smiling so hard, making it harder for him. "Sharon..." Swayam said, but Sharon hugged him. "I have a surprise for you!" Sharon said, taking a gift wrapped item from her bag. He took the gift from her and kept it on the table. "Sharon we need to talk." Swayam said. "Swayu, we have lots of time to talk. Please open your gift first. You'll love it." Sharon said. "Please Sharon we need to talk first. We don't have much time." Swayam said. "What are you talking about?" Sharon asked, as she was confused. "I can't live here anymore..." Swayam said. "What? Why ? You're joking right?" Sharon asked, seriously thinking that it was a joke. "It's not a joke Sharon. Why aren't you understanding?" Swayam snapped at her. "Hey, what's the matter? Why are you in a bad mood?" Sharon asked, taking Swayam's hand in hers. But Swayam let go of her hand very soon. Then she seemed to notice the suitcase which was on the bed. "Are you really leaving? For work right? When will you be back?" Sharon asked. "Never." Swayam said. "What?? Are you trying to fool me?" Sharon asked, her cheerful face slowly becoming upset. "No Sharon. We...We...need a break." Swayam said. "Wait...wha...what? As in a...b...breakup?" Sharon asked. "Yea, Sharon I'm sorry. But I'm breaking up with you." Swayam said. "Did I do anything wrong? If I did, we can sort it out. Why are you talking about a breakup?" Sharon asked. "No you didn't do anything wrong. I just can't stay in this relationship anymore." Swayam said. This made Sharon look at him with a jerk. "Are...Are..are you seeing someone else?" Sharon asked, tears starting to dwell in her eyes. "No, I'm not. My dad says that I'm not concentrating on work at all and that I'm with you all the time. And he's right. Being with you, I don't work at all." Swayam said, turning away from Sharon. "W...What?? You're practically at work the whole day. You come home only at night. We have dinner and go to sleep. How am I interrupting your work?" Sharon asked, getting a bit angry. "SHARON, YOU ARE THE CAUSE OF ME NOT CONCENTRATING ALRIGHT! AND I CAN'T BE WITH YOU ANYMORE!I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO MY DAD A LONG TIME BACK! I SHouldn't have fallen into this trap in the first place!" Swayam screamed. "A trap? You think my love for you is a trap? Wow, I cannot believe this. I'm such a fool." Sharon said, sitting down on the bed. "finish what you have to say!" Sharon said. "I am slowly losing all the feelings I had for you Sharon.I am not happy in this relationship. At all. You are such a kid." Swayam said. It hurt him so bad to even tell this because it was Sharon's childish character that he admired the most. Sharon chuckled sarcastically."I can talk to your dad, Swayam." Sharon said."Make him understand." "No, my dad is right. He knows what's right for me. And you are not right for me,Sharon." Swayam said. Sharon was very angry but she was also crying. "Then was I right for you when you gave me this?" Sharon asked, putting her hand in front of Swayam, so that he could look at the diamond ring glistening on her ring finger. "I made a mistake. And now I'm going to mend it. I can never be happy with you Sharon." Swayam said, took his bag and then left. "Swayam, why are you doing this? Please tell me. If it's something big, I can help you!" Sharon said, crying so hard this time. "Just stop it Sharon." Swayam said. "Don't try to stop me from going." He said. "If you weren't happy with me, then why didn't you break off the relationship a long time back. Why did you let me believe that you loved me? For 11 freaking years!" Sharon cried. "I'm sorry Sharon. You are right. I should have broken this off a long time back." Swayam said. "Swayam I know you are lying to me. And I know your dad. He wouldn't just tell you to break this off because you couldn't concentrate on work. What is the real reason?" Sharon asked, hardly able to say the words. Swayam couldn't stand there for a moment. "Bye Sharon." Swayam said, pecked her on the cheek, hugged her and then left, leaving Sharon standing there alone. Sharon ran behind him. He had already reached the ground floor and was keeping his things in the car when he saw Sharon coming. He didn't want her there. It was already too hard for him. She was making it harder by not letting him go. "Sharon, I asked you not to Stop me from leaving. You'll get someone much better than me." Swayam said. Sharon came in front of him. Swayam could see how her eyes were filled up with tears but she was trying so hard to control them. She removed the ring from her finger, took Swayam's hand, palm facing her, and placed the ring on his palm. "I won't stop you Swayam. GOOD...Good bye." Sharon said, and turned away from him. Swayam didn't say anything else and he just got into his car and drove away. He saw in the rear view mirror. Sharon had fallen on her knees and crying so hard. He wanted to stop the car, go to her and hug her tight. But he couldn't. He drove faster, till he was somewhere close to his parent's house. He stopped driving, rested his head on the steering and cried his heart out. "I'm sorry Sharon. I'm so sorry." Swayam said. Even when he went home, his mother asked what the matter was . Swayam narrated the whole story and started crying again. "I really love her mom. I hate myself for hurting her." Swayam said, hugging his mom. "It's okay beta. It's okay. Everything will be fine." Swayam's mom said. "No...nothing will be fine. Never.. again." Swayam said. Sharon was in a worse shape than Swayam. She threw everything down. Screamed. Cried, what not. Both of them never wanted to remember that day.
Swayam came back to earth and realized that there were tears in his eyes even today when he thought about it. She had found someone who was better than him. Ashish. He would never forgive himself. He hadn't seen the gift which Sharon had bought for him. He searched for it in the room. Finally he found it under the bed, in a box which contained all the memories of theirs. Sharon had preserved so many things starting from their first date. He took the gift and opened it. He was shocked. It was the camera which he had been wanting from the beginning. He caressed it. But he also was grateful that he didn't open the gift that day. It would have made breaking up harder than it was. Before he could do anything else, he heard some noise. He knew Sharon would be awake, so he quickly kept the gift back in place, locked the room and placed the key from where he had taken it.
He was right. Sharon was awake. They talked for a while about dance and how their business was going and then had dinner and slept.
