The wedding day: in the morning
In the morning of the wedding day, it was all a rush. Gayathri was still telling servants where to put the flowers. Simmone was getting ready. Kripa was still in her night clothes. When Simmone came out of the bathroom, she saw Kripa still sitting in her bed, yawning.
Simmone: "Kripa, get up. Don't you need to change?"
Kripa: "Simmone, the wedding is in the evening. What's the point in getting ready now?"
Simmone grabs Kripa from her arm.
Simmone: "Kripa get up. The beautician will be here any minute."
Kripa: "What? But it's so early in the morning. I'm still tired."
Simmone: "Early in the morning? It's twelve o'clock for god sakes. Get up now or I'll call mum- and you know what she'll do."
Kripa knew if Simmone called Gayathri, she would moan at Kripa until she gets annoyed and gets ready. So Kripa got out of bed and went downstairs to look at the decorations before the beautician could come.


Downstairs in the Sharma house:
Gayathri was still shouting at the servants, ordering them to put things in the right place.
Gayathri: "What are you doing? Not there- I'm telling you to put it next to the window!"
As she was ordering one of the servants, Kripa came from behind her and lazily hugged her.
Kripa: "Good morning mum. Why are you shouting so much? You know it aint good for you."
Gayathri: "Kripa beta. If I don't shout, these fools will think I'm messing about with them and won't do their job properly. By the way, why are you still in you pyjamas?"
Kripa: "Oh don't worry. I just came down to have a little peek on the decorations my beautiful mum designed for me."
Gayathri kissed Kripa on her head.
Kripa: "Anyway mum. I'm going up now- or Simmone will start moaning. When the beautician comes, tell her to come upstairs into my room. Show her where it is basically."
Kissing her mum goodbye, Kripa ran upstairs in her room. As she left the room, Gayathri went back to work.


Before the wedding:
About two hours before the guests started coming to the Sharma house, the beautician had arrived and was sent to Kripa's room. As she got Kripa dressed up, Simmone started curling her hair. She was so happy for her sister, Kripa.


At Khanna house: in Angad's room
As Angad got his 'shirwani' on, Prithvi kept knocking his door asking his to hurry up. When Angad was dressed, he opened the door to let Prithvi in. when Prithvi came into the room, he was shocked to see all the mess on the floor.
Prithvi: "Angad. It's your wedding today- at least clean your room- even though you're not going to stay here tonight."
Angad: "O.k. dude. I'll tell one of the servants to come and clean it. Happy?"
Prithvi: "Good. By the way, I'm only saying this because I know mum is going to come here any minute and tell you the same thing."
Angad: "Yeah I know. When mum sees mess, she goes crazy."
As Angad said this, they both started laughing.


In the evening: Sharma house
As the time went on, the guests started arriving. Everyone was amazed at how well the decorations were set out. The room looked beautiful. Gayathri made the guests feel comfortable and took them to their seats.


Upstairs in Sharma house: Kripa's bedroom
In Kripa's bedroom, the beautician had just finished off Kripa's hair when suddenly Simmone came running in the room.
Simmone: "Kripa! Angad's here!"
Hearing Simmone, Kripa sat up. As she was about to walk away from the mirror, the beautician held her back.
Beautician: "Kripa, I haven't even finished off your make-up yet darling. Sit down."
Simmone: "She's right Kripa. They're going to do the 'rasme' first. You still need your make-up finished. By the way, this aint no ordinary day where you get any gloss and any eye shadow and put it onto your face- this is your wedding day. Calm down. You've got enough time to get ready. Do you know how long these 'rasme' are?"
Kripa: "O.k. but tell me how Angad looks."
Simone: "Kripa, can't you wait? You're going to see him anyway. Just be patient."
Saying this, the beautician and Simmone laughed.


Downstairs in the Sharma house:
When Angad arrived, all the girls who had come with their parents couldn't take their eyes off him.
Girl from the wedding guests: "Oh my god, he looks so cute. Kripa is so lucky."
As Angad waked into the house with his family, Gayathri gave him blessings and led him into the room. Once everyone was sat, Angad walked to the 'madip'. As he sat down, the priest started the 'rasme'.
When all the 'rasme' were over, the priest told Gayathri to call Kripa, the bride. Gayathri whispered to Simmone and told her to go and get Kripa.


Upstairs in Sharma house: Kripa's bedroom
When Simmone got to Kripa room and opened the door, Kripa looked back to see who it was. Simmone stood at the door way- frozen.
Kripa: "Kya huwa?"
Simmone just stared blankly at Kripa.
Kripa: "Simmone! What's wrong?"
