Khushi looked lost...she was in his office, Arnav did not stop her, he knew very well that the more he would stop her, more she would get adamant.He said.. "Just be careful.I don't want anything happen to you people.".Khushi understood what he meant by 'you people'.Arnav touched her belly, " Five months to go..right..? "..She felt uncomfortable, but he continued touching her.." Have you thought any name?"..Arnav asked..
Khushwant remained silent."You didn't answer me.."..Arnav made her look at him, "What happened to you?"
"Nothing..."
"You don't find my touch exciting anymore?"..Arnav said.
"Can I go to office please?"..Khushi said.Arnav looked at her for a moment ..and said ,"Sure, I will drop you there.."
When they reached at her office, Arnav escorted her towards her cubicle.He said 'Hello' to others and requested to take care of Khushi at the office hours.
"Khushwant, don't think that I came back to India, and I made you come back to Randhawa Mansion..because you are pregnant...the reason is ..you need care, you are the reason, I will not be able to digest if anything happens to you..I want my child, children to be precise..but with you..not without you. So please, take care of yourself for my sake.I know you love me, you cannot tolerate that I am in pain.I know that,so for my happiness..please be careful..." ..Arnav said.
Khushwant just gave a nod."Again, only nod..what am I going to do with her?" ..Arnav kicked himself mentally.
"I will come at 5:30...and if you feel unwell..please..call me...if I am not available in worst case of course..call Payal...okay..?"
She nodded again.Arnav had a great urge to wring her neck, is she having shortage of words?Calm down Arnav Singh Randhawa, you are the sole reason for this .Arnav pecked her and said ,"See you soon sweetheart.."..and left.

"Bhai..Jijajee called..",.
"What is it?"
"He was telling that, he wants to shift to his bungalow, I mean, Di is not habituated with apartments..."
"What is the problem then..I know it's his dream house..when he bought the house, he sent me pictures..me and you were in US that time..."
"Is it? Well, he was asking whether we need that apartment..you know for any company employee..or we can suggest any reliable tenant for that apartment... actually..he is already done with the decoration of that bungalow, Mom was talking to him about Di's baby shower..Jijajee wants to celebrate it in his bungalow only.."
"Noble thought..."
"Bhai..."
"Yes.."
"She is fine ..I guess..?"..Akash said.
Arnav knew who is she.
"No, I gave her no reason for that.I can see her dilemma , she is fighting with herself, she loves me..more than anything,more than anyone, but she is hell bent to deny her feelings.She has closed the door of her heart, I am trying hard to open the door..I don't know when I will be successful...as I am very much capable of making mistakes..."..Arnav said with a sad face.
"I have noticed that she is not talking to you..."
"Exactly, and if this goes on...my life is screwed.."..
"Don't get frustrated..after all you have to pay, what goes along..comes along too...she is doing nothing compared to what you did...you forgot that?"
"I know..Akash..but..this is not good for the..kids..kids born in a disturbed marital relation..I myself is an example , I don't want them to be like me... insecure..stubborn.."
"Well..they will be like that, because their mother is no different...stubborn she was..I know..but you made her insecure..."..
Arnav looked at Akash for few minutes.."Akash..you are still my younger brother...keep that in mind..."..Arnav said in a cold voice.Symptom wasn't good,Akash realised and took to his heel.
On the other hand, Khushwant was lost in her thoughts..her mobile rang, it was Anjali.
"Yes, Di..how are you?"
"Fine..I heard you are upset that I didn't inform you..that..."
"Leave it..not a big deal..it happens.."
"What is wrong Khushwant? Chhote said something?"
"Naah.."
"You are taking good care of yourself? Well..congrats..for the twins..I am so happy.."
"Thanks...I heard Mamijee..talking about your baby shower..."
"Yeah..that is why I called you..Shyam wants that to be celebrated in our Jangpura house..."
"Yes...yeah..it's okay...I guess he wants to shift there..."
"Yes..Khushi, I want you to be there from the early hours...you must come.."
"Let the date get fixed first..Di..can I call you later...some pending works to do..sorry.."
"Yeah..it's okay..bye.."

Arnav came at 6 in the evening, "Sorry, traffic jam..ready to go?"..Arnav asked..In reply he again got a nod.During the drive, she was silent.."You want something to eat?"..Arnav asked.."We can go to any restaurant ..by the way what you had in lunch?"
"Spiced cold milk..."
"Only?"
"Before that I had rice with daal, and everything..gone into drain.."
"It's still winter Khushwant, cold milk is not good.."
"I know, but that is the only thing I can digest..after taking that I did not vomit..."
"Well...that's good..but try to avoid the coldness.."
"Di..called me..they are shifting to Jangpura.."
"I know..Akash got a call from Jijajee..so..as I asked..have you thought any name?"..
"I was thinking something else.."
"What?"
"Di will go in labour in end of March...possibly..but..mine will be mid of May..or..June first week.."
"So?"
"It will be scorching hot that time..how I will..manage ..twins..they will have problem.."
Arnav raised his eyebrows.." She is behaving normal..as she is being sentimental..pregnancy hormone is really working.."..Arnav said to himself, " As if she will deliver under a sunny afternoon of June at any open place..by the time all ACs of Delhi Hospitals and Randhawa House will be damaged.."..Arnav smirked..."You moron..you still don't understand...even now you are being sarcastic...you don't realise that she is talking to you..."..Arnav's alter ego kicked him hard.
"Ummm...you want to have something tangy like pani puri or anything.."
"No..I feel so tired..I want to go home...please ..drive fast.."

Later, at night, all were assembled for dinner..
"Khushwant...Bahu..I think you should stop working outside now..it is affecting your health.."
It came from Subhadra Malik, Khushi didn't reply..she started to play with her food..Arnav touched her belly when no one noticed..he whispered.." Why are you not eating, don't think that I am not seeing anything, from last 15 minutes you are just stirring the food.."
"I can't eat anymore...I am leaving..", Khushwant was about to leave..Arnav held her hand tightly..he gritted his teeth and said ,"Eat...".
"Khushi, can we go for shopping , Di's goadbharai is there..we will need new clothes...tomorrow is Saturday..is that fine with you.."..Payal asked suddenly..
"Huh..haan..yeah..fine..but I have to go office first..."
"Then do one thing, Payal.."..Arnav said.."I have important meetings ..you go with her, you be there untill she is done..it will take hardly one hour..then you two go for shopping...is that okay with you..?"
"But Arnav, going out on saturday is not good for pregnant women.."..Subhadra said.
"Nothing like that..and god forbid anything happens..then it's my responsibility ..she is my wife..Khushi..so it's decided..you do not have any problem I guess.." ..Arnav said..
Khushi agreed with him.
Khushi was standing beside the window, Arnav looked at the wall clock..it showed 10:30 pm. He hugged her from behind..kissed her earlobe..and said ,"Don't you feel sleepy..?"
"Not now..Arnavjee..please tell your Dadi not to poke her nose in my life..."
"What...?"
"I do not want her concern.."
"Okay..now tell me..what you will buy tomorrow?"
"I don't know.."
"But..I am really upset..you are not eating properly..you know it will affect the kids.."..Arnav said while caressing her belly.."You know..when I saw your big belly ..I found it too big for 4 months..then I thought ..you have become so thin, that's why it is looking so big..but then Nani told me about the twins..then Payal..."
"Hmm.."
"You are so unwell...why did you leave me? You knew about your pregnancy..I admit that I hurt you that time also..but you shouldn't have left like that..then you called me in Canada..and said those things..why? So that you can hurt me? I wouldn't mind if only I was hurt, but you hurt yourself..why did you say like that your child doesn't need father? It doesn't matter who the father is...why you said like that? Don't say like that ever..please..I know I did wrong..when I showed you cold shoulder..after Adhiraj's death..I am sorry.."
"Don't say like that please..."
"Then what can I do? Have you seen yourself in mirror these days..? You are underweight, Dr. Sisodia said that you are not eating properly..you promised me once that you will give me children as much I want..but all I want is you to be in good health..no matter we become parents this time only..because if this goes on..I don't think that I will ever try any further for child.."
Khushwant started to cry, "Why are you crying damn it? I told you not to cry. What I told you to do..you are not doing that, what I told not to do..you are doing that.Khushi, listen to me sweetheart..I am not angry with you, I am worried..you are worried that the kids will suffer in summer..but you are not providing them sufficient resource to grow properly in your womb.."
Khushi's crying level went up.Arnav felt helpless.."Oh my god...Khushwant.. please..stop crying...arre..I forgot to give you..wait..."
Arnav showed her a ring, it had a sapphire in it, it was made of platinum, "I bought it for you..that's why I got late in evening..you have so many blue dresses..and it will look good with a silver coloured saree also..take a look... Khushwant..look at it.."
Khushi looked.."I bought the whole set..a ring, necklace, and earrings..." ..Arnav showed him the big velvet box..Khushi looked at the set.."How is it?"..Arnav asked eagerly..
"Nice..actually..very nice.."..Khushi said after wiping her tears..
"So, tomorrow you will buy a silver colour saree..you will look very nice in Di's baby shower..in the saree along with the set..."..Arnav said smilingly..
"I thought, I will wear this in my baby shower.."..Khushi said in a low tone.
"You are impossible..then do that..okay...you just tell me the colour of the saree which you buy for Di's event...I will buy another set for you..trust me..you will like that.."..Arnav said with a huge grin.
Khushi looked at him.He touched her cheek..said ,"Don't you understand..I am all yours?"..again her eyes got moist.
"Again!!! ..I tell you , Delhi's water problem will be solved if you cry at this rate..trust me.."...Arnav said in a frustrated tone..
"Are you taunting me?"..Khushi said angrily..
"Naaah..how dare I? It's late by the way...can we sleep now?Please..!!"
