CHAPTER 10
Arnav and khushi had just finished their dinner and were leaving the restaurant when arnav felt a hand on his shoulder , he turned around to see his sister
" DI !!"
he exclaimed , completely taken aback by his sisters presence in the restaurant , his shocked expression quickly turned into fear , he did not want khushi to meet his eccentric family yet , his over religious di , his 'customs' obsessed nani, his marriage obsessed mother , his nerdy cousin , his weirdo mami ,the only person he actually considered normal in his family was his jeejaji shyam , soft spoken family man who loved his sister more than the world.
Anjali said
" hii chotte i thought you had an important meeting 😉 now i know who its with "
she grinned and held out her hand to shake it with khushi who just stood there watching the exchange trying to figure out who this woman was , obviously they were related since he called her di but one never knows
khushi took anjalis hand and shook it with a grin saying
"hello , my name is khushi kumari gupta , and you are ?"
"my name is anjali , arnavs sister , its a pleasure to meet you , how do you know my little brother ?" anjali asked with a slyy grin on her face , khushi looked at arnav because she did not know whether to tell anjali or not , seeing khushis confused face arnav replied for her saying
" di , khushi is my girlfriend "
anjali let out a squeal in joy and said
" finally chotte you got a girlfriend , khushi you and i are going to be the best of friends i can't wait "
khushi let out a little giggle at anjalis eagerness and said
" I'm sure we will "
Arnav looked at dii and then khushi and said to dii
" umm dii im gonna take khushi to her apartment now see you at home "
anjali bid them farewell and went back to her table where her clueless husband had begun to get bore waiting for his ever so crazy wife , anjali reached the table with a spring in her step and sat down and narrated everything to shyam who just laughed at his wife's obsession with her little brothers love life and at her over anxiousness to get to know khushi , but by just looking at khushi and arnav together , shyam knew that they were already in love and just didn't know it , and he couldn't wait for the day that his brother in law would figure he was in love , that was going to be interesting
Arnav and khushi were driving in the car , when khushi said to him
" your sister seems really nice , and i can't wait to get to know her "
arnavs heart swelled for this woman she just got along with everybody , and one the most important people in his life his sister , he held her hand while they were driving and for them , time just seemed to pass too quickly when they were together and they just couldn't get enough of it , they sighed simultaneously earning a grin from each other as they both knew what was going on each others minds
They reached khushis apartment and arnav walked her to her door , he said
" i had a really good time tonight and I'm so glad you agreed to be my girlfriend"
khushi blushed on hearing this and said
"i could never even thinking of saying no "
arnav smiled and he began to lean in towards khushi , she couldn't help but remember their almost kiss and silently prayed that they wouldn't be interrupted this time , her eyes closed on their own accord and her breathing became labored , a faint blush adorned her cheeks , she waited and then she felt a pit of soft lips brush her own,
The kiss was gentle and caring , her arms wound around his neck while his hands cupped her face , they broke the kiss and rested their foreheads against each others , arnav was the first to speak he said
"wow , that was umm amazing "
khushi blushed and nodded her head in agreement , arnav gave her chaste kiss on her forehead and said he would call tomorrow and left a seemingly happy khushi at her door .
Khushi exhaled deeply and entered her apartment only to be hugged ferociously by someone and she know just who it was , her older sister payal was back from vacation , she said
"jiji you're back "
but payal quickly dismissed her and said
"no small talk , tell me who the guy you were kissing was 😉"
