The initial chapters felt like a re-reading of Pride and Prejudice albeit in an ArHi setting. The only thing missing was the "It is a truth universally acknowledged..." opening. However, I really enjoyed this story. I mean who can give up a chance of reading KKG as Elizabeth Bennet and ASR as Fitzwilliam Darcy?

You did justice to the events in the desi version of PnP. Not only the chronology in the book but the way also with the way you added your own events like the encounter with goons or the sexy Radha dance. But what floored me completely was the second half of the story where you took considerable liberty with the events in the book. Apart from Shashi asking Khushi about Arnav in the study, the second half was altogether different. Arnav proposing Khushi right after she knows of his role in her sister's heartbreak, she confronting Arnav later and he clarifying, how you swiftly dealt with Shyam and finally how you depicted Arnav's mother's friend and her daughter.

Inspite of Arnav Khushi being created on the blueprint of Lizzie and Darcy, they still felt ArHi-ish 👏

Also, the book never gave an insight into the thoughts of Darcy. Here, you made the story more comprehensive by adding Arnav's POV 👍🏼

Amidst that a big fat Indian wedding and ArHi romance. A complete package 😃

PS: Why is NK the heir to Shashi's wealth? The era in which PnP was written, women were not allowed to inherit and therefore, they were left to the mercy of the next male kin in line. That is certainly not the case with the 21st century India... 😕

PPS: One of your chapters is titles First Impressions. Do you know it was PnP's working title? 😃

Beautiful narration ...n recreation of the legend...I have never read pride n prejudice but watched the bbc serial...I first time struggled to put Barun's face to this Arnav as Colin firth's face kept bouncing infront of eyes as Darcy😉 N same with khushi...but anyway enjoyed it thoroughly
