I love all of khushi 😃 ( sorry kashi) And her attitude.

Just a clarification, was she speaking in Hindi to arnav in the first part of the conversation till he asked, then how come you don't speak English?

Random comments,

Actually living in the north my sis and me always feared being teased for our Hindi accent, and so we used to put in an extra effort to ensure that we did not have a south Indian accent while speaking Hindi. We spoke Tamil at home, Hindi with friends, English in school.

And becoming totally English speaking, I think even in the north, the workplace is main culprit. My husband and me realised that we had become totally English speaking as we just continued speaking the same language of the workplace at home as well. We had even forgotten our basic Tamil and had to actually make an effort to speak Tamil when my son was born so that he would at least understand it.
