Nupur stepped out of the steaming shower, with her bathrobe clinging to her wet body. Feeling strange and numb for no reason, she walked towards the window to witness the moon again. It was still as luminous as it was, still shining and still glittering.

Nupur took a sharp intake of breath remembering that this moon was all hers', all of it. She shifted her eyes off the moon and reached for her phone. Out of the blue she was expecting a call, a message or even a missed call from Mayank. Taking a deep breath, she started waiting.

She knew this wait was dangerous and this wait could lead her anywhere, may be even away from death.

Mayank threw himself on the bed and closed his eyes. He tried to plan his time but they were all useless efforts because his mind was still stuck at the power of love and hate, the pain of love and hate, the comparison of love and hate.

"maa, dad doesn't lives with you, he lives with his mistress, and you still love him!,

"I don't love him Mayank, I hate him, and that is what is keeping me alive, I would have died due to betrayal if I would have kept on loving him'.

He opened his eyes and reached for his phone, he had to make Nupur fall in love with him, so she could hate him.

She stared at the flashing name on the screen for a while. What she wished was actually coming true and she attended the call, feeling numb.

"Somewhere I expected you would call", Nupur said, scrapping off the wooden polish from the rocking chair, and Mayank smiled, 'no wonder all of a sudden I wanted to talk to u"

There was a silence between them, which was indicating a storm, and it came, in form of Nupur's voice,

"what do you want Mayank?"

Mayank, who was smiling was immediately taken aback from her tone and taking a deep breath he replied, "What do you think Nupur?"

Nupur, who had by now scrapped 3 inches of the polish of the chair handle, looked up at a blank point, "You look at me in a way that I feel you want to leave me with a life lasting emotion, good or bad I am not sure, but you are going to stay there with me:

Smiling, Mayank asked, "do you approve it? Will you allow me to stay there Nupur?"

Digging her nail sharp in the wood, she tried to channelize her energy and answered, "we both know that you don't need my permission Mayank, you will stay there!", she paused,

"yes I will, I promise, good night Nupur, see you tomorrow
