Inconvenient Love

"And feeling sleepy" she bit words interrupting him, Her stomach heaved, and a deep sigh slipped through her lips as his words hit her like a blow, her heart felt as if it had collapsed and she was suffocating to breath.

He sighed, how much he tried to mend everything it went in the same direction always..The same inconvenient way.

"Nupur.trust me I am really tired" he spoke politely picking his words carefully

"I can understand" The bubble rose higher in throat. She gave a choked sound, "bye" She knew she would burst into tears if she had to listen to another basket load of regrets, excuses from him that would only make her feel even more inept.

"Nupur..pleaseee'."the words faded away in his mouth as she had cut the call. Her eyes stung with tears, Sinking back against the pillows that bunched at the headboard she clutched the spread to her chest, tears slipped from the corner of her eyes, her heart had never really worked out for her how much he had been hurt her but still it beats for Him..

"Forgive me" he took deep, unsteady breath and sank into pillow closing his eyes to take some sleep but somewhere in his heart he was still feeling a pang of guilt'

"Nupur please take big step,where are you lost??"They elevated the Shopping Mall lift and Dia spun around giving her irritating look, "un!!huh'I am coming"Nupur could only manage to say these few words coming out of her trail of thoughts. After the last night conversation with Mayank she was feeling very hard to compose herself again though she had never expected from him those three Magical words but still like always she wanted to feel his love for her, wanted to hear those words from him, she knew he did not like to confess or show his feelings but at least for Her sake, For keeping her happy he would say those words, he would say just once he loved her.

The breeze loosened a lock of hair and whipped it against her cheek she shrugged away her thoughts and hold her tears to shed.

Dia had been completed her shopping and Nupur took sigh of relief, she just came for shopping for Dia but somewhere it was her will too, as she wanted to keep his thoughts out from her mind for sometime but the trip only made her feel worse to see lovey dovey couples roaming happily, cuddling to each others, she swallowed hard controlling her tears

"Now Dia ,please lets go back home, I am tired" Nupur swung back to look at Dia who was still looking for some jewelry, she regarded Nupur concernedly, "what happened? Are you fine?"

"yeah,I am fine"she suppressed weak smile portended to be Normal and for her luck Dia did not ask any further question and she breath of relief .

She dozed in bed, her nap was disturbed by the continuous of ringing bell, Nupur burrowed deeper into her covers, but the sound of ringing bell not letting her to fall in sleep again, She pulled a pillow over her head, but it didn't block out the sound and she was not in mood to attend any call, from the last night she even had not touched it. Cursing, she dragged herself out of bed and took out her mobile and the name flashing on screen took her breath for a moment how much she tried to control her heart but it had always beaten for him, she swallowed her lump and received call,

"Where were you? Why not you attending call? The same stiff, angry voice hit with her ear drums and reluctantly herself she spoke calmly yet in low voice, "I was not in home" she lied biting her lower lip, she did not want to show him she was hurt.

"And you did not bother to inform me. I was getting worried for you why did not you call me the whole day?he huffed

"I did not know it does matter to you" he backed off at her statement and could not ignore the hurt in her tone and her voice had told him she was angry at him for last night.

"Off course it does matter to me" this time his voice came out soft and polite and for a moment she forgot about anything except her love for him. She wanted to believe on his words but some parts of her heart were not agreed with her decision.

"Mayank do you love me?"

His breath caught in his throat as her words registered in his mind.
