(Author's note: I'm so sorry that I haven't updated in a month, I had a few problems and anyways I had to Google a few names for the restaurant, so they may be real ones, depending on where in the world it is but for this story it's purely fiction. Again, not good at Chinese food so please don't mind any mistakes. Inspiration is taken an episode of EHMMBH, the restaurant part, so watch out).

Chapter Eleven: Chinese-Binese, kya?

Viren stopped the car outside Wing Wah, a Chinese restaurant. He stepped out and walked onto the other side of the car, and being the gentleman that he is, he opened the door for his wife, Jeevika. Behind, on the back seat, Maanvi and Virat took one last glare at each other before opening their respective doors.

"What is this? W-Wing Wa-Wah?" Maanvi asked with a confused look on her face.

"This is a Chinese restaurant, where we will be eating." Viren replied smiling.

"Kya? We're eating in some Chinese-Binese restaurant?" She retorted.

"Yes, Maanvi, we're eating here. This is Vadhera families most favourite Chinese eating place." Jeevika said.

Maanvi gave a slight nod and uneasy smile. This girl must not have eaten Chinese, hm. Interesting. Viraat thought. The foursome walked inside and was instantly invited to the warm red walls and soft white carpets. The rooms were adorned with sculptures and traditional Chinese calligraphy. Whilst sitting down, a waiter arrived with their order that Viren had asked for.

"Madam, Sir. Here is your Choy Sum." The waiter placed the plates down and left.

Maanvi pierced the food with her fork and looked carefully at it. To her, it looked like someone had vomited up pieces of food and placed them in a plate. Viraat, who was sitting beside her, smirked. Jeevika and Viren were engrossed in each other, smiling at each other whilst they talked and ate.

"Eat, eat Maanvi." Viraat said with a slight tease.

Maanvi looked at him and rolled her eyes. "What is this? Choy Sum?" She asked him.

This is the right time Viraat to annoy her, he thought. "Erm, this is a traditional Chinese recipe. You know for all the waste they get from cooking, they feed us this. It's nice. Very nice. Eat, eat." He said, hiding his smile.

"WHAT?! They make us eat waste?" Maanvi said, a little bit too loudly. People around had turned their backs, glancing at Maanvi's outbreak. Just then, the waiter arrived asking if there were any problems.

"Problems? You lot are serving us waste. What Choy Sum? Don't you have any shame?" Maanvi glared.

The poor waiter got frightened of Maanvi, and tried to calm her down. "Actually M-madam. T-This is only Vegetable Stir-fry." He said quietly. People around tried to hide their laughter whilst Viren and Jeevika bit their lips and tried to calm people down.

Maanvi gulped. Oh, no. What did I do? I embarrassed us. God, this is all Viraat's fault! She thought whilst Viraat laughed at her, silently. Viren managed to save the day by apologising to everyone and within a minute everything was back to normal.

"Virat? This is all your fault. Why did you say this to Maanvi?" Viren said, leading a fake gasp from Viraat.

"Me? What did I do? I was only joking, I didn't know this Bandariya would make such a big hangama." He looked at Maanvi.

"Why do you always?" Maanvi groaned.

"Viraat, please. Just apologise." Jeevika said angrily. Sure, she had just met Maanvi but she liked her enough to take away her embarrassment.

"But Bhabhi?" Viraat protested. Jeevika glared back.

He sighed and looked at Maanvi who pushed her plate back, obviously tired with the whole Chinese cuisine. "I'm sorry Maanvi. I didn't mean to. My fault. Forgive me?" He gritted his words through his teeth.

Maanvi wasn't done with him but for the same of Jeevika and Viren, who she actually liked, she pretended everything was fine. "You're forgiven Viraat." She hardened her vowels on his name, sending him a message that he was not actually forgiven.

"We are done." Viren said after he finished his food. He looked at Maanvi and Virat's plate and saw that there was a large amount of food left.

"Areh, you guys haven't ate yet. We'll wait for you."

"No thank you Jiju." Maanvi replied, ever since Jeevika had told her to call her Di, Maanvi had also started calling Viren as her jiju, after all it was customs. "I don't want to eat this, my desi food is better." Maanvi said and pushed her plate back.

"But Maanvi, you haven't ate." Jeevika protested, it was past ten pm, and therefore past dinner time at Vadhera house, which means the kitchen would have been closed.

"Don't worry Jeevika di, I'm not hungry." But obviously she was, her stomach gurgled and Maanvi told it to shut up.

"Okay, here's an idea. Me and Jeevika will go home. Virat you take Maanvi to a nearby restaurant and give her some food okay?" Viren said.

"But Bhai? Why me?"

"Viraat, please. And that way you'll get some food okay?"

"No it's okay Jiju. I'm seriously not hungry."

The banter beckoned and eventually Jeevika and Viren won, which meant the other two had to go to eat alone, together. Maanvi sighed, another time and place where I have to endure this fool.

Chapter Twelve – Goodbye, Maya.

"Come on, Miss Maanviji. Your presidential khana place is here." Virat stopped the car, and told Maanvi to get out whilst he parks it. Viren and Jeevika had decided to go home in a taxi whilst Virat took his car as it was simpler.

"Whatever, whatever." She rolled his eyes. If it wasn't for her di and jiju nagging them, Maanvi wouldn't have even agreed to go out with Viraat. She limped across the street to an authentic Indian restaurant, Jyoti and walked inside. Her wound on her leg had not yet healed and as she forgot to have medicine earlier, the pain had started again. Virat noticed this.

"Maanvi, is your leg okay?" He asked, concerned.

Maanvi shrug it off and quickly pretended that everything was fine. "My leg is fine, why do you care?" He rolled his eyes, whenever I try to do something good this Bandariya always says something against me, he thought. "I don't care, now come on." He pulled her inside and sat down.

"What do you want to eat?" He asked her.

Maanvi thought for a second, "Hm…Palak Paneer looks nice. I'll have that." After all, it was her favourite dish. Viraat smiled, it was his favourite too.

"Okay, two plate of that quick." He ordered the waiter.

Minutes later, the waiter arrived with food and Maanvi and Viraat endeavoured it.

"Trust me, Virat. Desi Khana is the best, nothing can beat it." She said, eating.

"Oh really?"

"Yes, this is better than your Choy wing, or whatever it was." She licked her lips and drank water. "Really, Viraat."

He genuinely smiled. He liked Maanvi when she wasn't hating on him, she was actually pretty cool. "Okay, my desi girl. Do you want anything else?" He asked.

Maanvi shook her head, as she was full. A few minutes later, both Maanvi and Viraat walked towards the car, putting their hands on their stomach indicating that they were full.

"Trust me Virat, today you were okay." Maanvi said.

"Just okay? I am the best." He winked at her.

Maanvi scoffed. "Okay, Mr I am the best, don't get too big headed."

"Okay okay, but I should be happy that the great Maanvi Chaudary has complimented me. I think I should feed you every day."

"Really?" She smiled. "Watch it, these promises you have to keep, and I won't be letting you off that easily."

"Is that a threat?" He smiled back.

"Not a threat, just saying. Never mess with Maanvi Chaudary."

"Okay, okay. Maanviji, now tell me what should I feed you?"

"Hm, What to eat. What to eat?" She thought for a bit. "Got it! Tomorrow you have to treat me to icecream. And not just any ice cream. Chandigarh's best ice cream!"

"Hm, for that we will have to go into town. I know this amazing ice cream parlour."

"Oh god, please. Not now. I will get hungry again." She widened her eyes at him and grinned.

"You are impossible." He grinned.

"That I am." She replied.

They reached the car, which Viraat had parked a few metres away from the other cars. Being the Mr Flashy that he was, he really didn't like parking somewhere where it can easily get smashed: Virat shuddered as he remembered his teenage moments. Virat had just received his new car as a present from the family, he had decided to go for a spin and parked in amidst a car park. In a space of probably fifteen minutes, he had difficulty in driving through the jam-packed lanes, resulting in his brand new car getting smashed. Poor Virat, the dude had to remain car-less until he was trusted, and had to take his driving lessons again, on Viren's insistence.

Whilst trying to unlock the car with the keys, Virat's phone started ringing. He glanced at his mobile, distracting him from unlocking the car. Maya, the caller was named. Virat scrunched his face in frustration. Why is Maya ringing me? He thought.

"Maanvi, wait here. I'll just come okay?" Without even waiting for a response, Virat left the concerned Maanvi behind and headed off.

Making sure that he was in a closed off space, Viraat answered the phone.

"Baby, are you angry?" Maya cooed.

Virat was angry, he had had enough of Maya's antics. "Look Maya, please stop calling me. We are over, got it? And you were the one that broke it off so leave me alone."

"Baby, come on. I was angry. You know I can't live without you. Darling, forgive me?" Maya said seductively. Viraat rolled his eyes, he had enough of Maya to know that he will never take her back.

"Shut up Maya, what do you think? That you can disrespect my family and I'll take that happily? No way." He shouted.

"Come on Virat. You know us, we'll fight and then make up the next second. So why this argument?"

"You think this relationship is a joke that we'll fight and get together. Maya please." He spat his words out in anger.

"What the hell Virat. You can't do this to me!"

"I have. GOODBYE." And with that he disconnected the phone call and sighed.

Meanwhile, Maanvi waited for Virat to come back. It was starting to get late and as she hadn't got a coat or jacket, she was starting to feel a bit chilly. Unknown to Maanvi, something was happening, was she is danger? Or would she be in a liaison with someone who would help her?
