Chapter Ten: When Viren is here, no need to fear!

"Jeevika, didn't you feel something was wrong at the breakfast table?" Viren said changing his work clothes into something more comfortable. His day at the office was long, especially if he spent hours without speaking to his beautiful wife.

"I don't think so, why?" Jeevika replied.

"I mean, yesterday Viraat's clothes suddenly went missing and this morning Maanvi couldn't sleep because of Viraat's alarm."

"You mean, you think these events happened deliberately?" Jeevika asked, confused.

"I think, I mean look. Since Maanvi has been here, both of them have been acting strangely I think whatever happened yesterday and this morning are due to these two."

"Yeah, I think you're right. When I was there with them, I don't know why but they had started arguing. I mean, I think it was an argument but it just happened that I couldn't understand anything."

"Right, Jeevika. I don't think Maanvi is a pushover type girl, if Viraat did do anything to her she won't stand for it, right?" He asked.

"Right, She's very straightforward. Virenji?" Jeevika folded Viren's shirt and placed it in the drawers.

"Yes, Jeevika?"

"I think this was all a prank, you know to get back at each other? If Maanvi did hide his clothes, then Viraat won't let her off."

"Exactly! These two are so similar, they won't give up."

"Then what should we do Virenji?"

Viren thought for a bit, then smiled. "Darling?"

"Hm?" She replied.

"We haven't gone out in a long time, why don't I take you out to dinner tonight?" Viren asked, his voice becoming husky.

"What is this, Virenji?" Jeevika blushed deep red. "We're talking about Maanvi and Viraat and you're romancing?" She moved away to the other side of the room.

"Hai…" Viren put his hand on his head and walked to her whispering, "There is no strict time for romancing, and with you? I'll never stop loving you."

Jeevika blushed and put her arms around her husband's shoulder, "But this time we have to help Viraat and Maanvi, romancing can wait." She teased.

"Hai, my love. Why do you do this? And anyway, I have an idea."

"What idea?"

Viren grinned, "For that you have to give me something?"

"What?" Jeevika asked.

Viren pointed to his cheek and mouthed "a kiss" to which Jeevika laughed. "And if I don't want to?"

"Then, I'll be sad and I'll have to forget about this plan and I'll be sad for the rest of my life," He joked.

Jeevika laughed and in a second, she placed a delicate kiss on his cheeks. "Now what's the plan?" She whispered in his ear.

"You're such a tease." He joked. "The plan is that we take Maanvi and Viraat with us to dinner, they have to solve their issues some day and that day is tonight!"

"But are you sure this will work?"

"Jeevika, what is Viraat's catchphrase?"

"Umm… When Viraat is here, no need to fear!"

"Right, so when Virenji is here, no need to fear!" He winked.

Jeevika and Viren managed to get consent from Maanvi and Viraat to go with them for dinner after much pleading. Whilst Maanvi didn't want to go because of Viraat, Viraat didn't want to go because of Maanvi, leading to much eye rolls and taunts from Jeevika and Viren. However, finally they agreed to go. Maanvi wore a dark blue suit, her hair was opened and brushed down. She looked simple yet elegant at the same time. Viraat wore a dark blue v-shirt with white trousers and blazer.

After getting dressed, Maanvi and Viraat rushed down to the car where they saw Viren on the driver's seat and Jeevika at the front.

"Maanvi, Viraat. You're here? Sit at the back." Jeevika said.

Maanvi groaned, "Why with this chep?" She thought.

Viraat glared as Maanvi opened the door, "Why with this Bandariya?" He thought.

The car journey to the Red Palace Restaurant felt too long as Maanvi and Viraat tried not to give each other any attention. Jeevika and Viren grinned as they looked at the reflection of the two behind, wanting them to get over their differences.

"Jeevika, you look very nice today." Viren said.

"Virenji, you too look…very nice…" She said shyly.

"You look nicer," he said.

"No, you look nicer."

"Nope, you do."

"No, virenji! You do."

"Okay, okay. Viraat. Maanvi. Doesn't Jeevika look nice tonight?" He asked them.

"Yes," they both said at once. Maanvi and Viraat looked at each other, glaring.

"I'll teach you for pranking me, Chep." Maanvi thought.

"I won't let you go that easily, Bandariya." Viraat thought.
