Chapter 2 The Solo Duet

Location: Deheradun (Kriya's home i.e bed room)

Her tears rolling down her soft cheeks. Her eyes which once used to gliter like the green sea in sunshine were emotionless blank and red from crying.

Clinging on to the black piece of cloth with had a mesmerizing branded French perfume not of girls but of guys. For the world it was a piece of cloth but for her it was her world, yes a black jacket. A Black jacket that belonged to the one she loved, that belonged to the one she hurt, to the one who was a part of her but taken away………….it was his……it was REY's

(The black jacket that Rey gave to Kriya while dropping her home after Shivam's party after the most beautiful moments of KREYA and the most famous butterfly kiss)

Kriya had changed, she would all day stay in her room after college, no going out with friends, studied all day and if forced by mom to go out she would go and sit in the library. She began to detest music. The talkative bubbly Kriya had now become a loaner at college and if there was is a word to describe her situation it was only one word and that was"LIFELESS".

In her room sometime she smiled to herself when she remembered REY. Neither friends nor Dance the only thing that she wanted was Rey.

Coz Rey could give her that, if she had Rey she knew he would even gift wrap the whole world and give it to her.

Smriti, Kriya's mom had given her the permission to dance seeing her state. She even allowed her to participate in dance competition. Kriya was happy but all this happiness turned to darkness when she set foot on the stage, all she could see was REYAANSH SINGHANIA dancing around her smiling at her and extending his hand hinting to dance with him. She lost in her darkness took his had and performed a solo duet.

Yes a SOLO DUET, the audience were awestruck they felt shivers down their spines as though somebody is actually performing with her.

Location: St. louis rehearsal hall

In the rehearsal hall that evening at the same time for the same song Rey performed the same dance his solo duet if one could keep them together it was a duet but you can see only one part.

An unknown unseen thread bound them, they could feel each other's presence. Each other's breadth and touch. See each other's eyes. It felt like there nothing that could come between them. Nothing…

By the end

Both of them were in tears, they were pushed back into reality when they tried wiping each other's tears.

Rey: Kriya……….

Kriya: Rey……….

Location: Dehradun

Smriti was awestruck, spellbound didn't know what to do or say wondering and questioning herself was that really her daughter who looked like an angel but with tears, had she caused her daughter so much pain. It was as though Kriya through her dance had conveyed everyone her pain. Everyone one was in tears.

Among these people there was a man dignified clad in black business suit, he was no exception he to had tears in his eyes. He was the chief guest. He was the first one to stand and clap and was followed by the rest. Kriya received a standing ovation. But to her it didn't mean a thing it woke her up completely from her beautiful dream which if she could she wouldn't want to come out of.

Tears rolled down from her eyes on the realization that he was not there. The one her heart craved for was not there. She cursed the audience in her thoughts that there had taken away her only blissful moment. She ran down the stage and out of the competition hall. Smriti tried following her but she couldn't catch up.

Kriya ran and ran as though it would take her away from reality and tripped. She could see a beautiful deheradun city glitter with lights before her but for her it only reminded about Mumbai. She closed her eyes so that she couldn't see anything but it didn't help, see saw what she craved not to see REY with a pleasant smile and tears in his eyes extending his hand towards her as though saying "What you did I have forgotten and forgiven besides it was not your fault the only thing I know is I LOVE YOU AND I WANT YOU BACK

Kriya(under her breadth in a voice that only ecoed in her heat): Why…..why should we suffer ……why should he suffer ……….it wasn't his fault…..why should I be the reason for his suffering……what was his fault……just that he fell in love…………. Pyaar kiya iss khudgarzz insaan se kriya ghai se………………………..

LOCATION: St. Louis canteen

Rey came back to the canteen where everyone were still is the same position and gave his killed one side smile as if saying inka meh kya karoonga.

Rey to himself :Pata tha shock lagega enko, but issa reaction expect nahi kiya tha. Issa lag raha ki yaha ensaan nahi statues khada kar diye gaye ho.

Aur pose toh esse de rahe ho jaise apne kisi film ko 3D model lagake promote karahe ho.

Actually meh kyu time waste kar raha hu jab pose de hi rahe hai toh meh photo leta hu

He took out his cell took a group picture, then as if giving respect to each model's value took individual photos.

Rey(again thinking to himself):Aaj mujhe pata chala zinda, chalte phirte ensaan ko statue meh kise badalte hai

Wah Reyaansh Singhania aaj wizard bhi ban gaya.

Then looking at the pics he said Akhir Sharon aur Swayam ko bhi toh pata chale ki Sworon ke public revelation ke baad ka effect.

Rey went and stood before Vicky and nilesh

He tapped on his head response:no reaction

He slapped him lightly response:no reaction

Finally rey ke patience level ka fuel khatam hogaya

He ordered a hot chocolate which was medium in temperature (a very important step to be taken care of before he would go to the next step)

Rey ne pyaar se kaha:Mere bhai mere dost meh tumhare liye hot chocolate laya hu

And well then literally poured it on his hand

Vicky: AYAAA

Finally that scream seemed to have brought back everyone to their senses

Vicky: Dude bacche ki jaan lega kya

Rey( looked at him from top to bottom) : Bacha sahi hai.Ale ale bechara bacha tumhari duud ki bootal kaha hai. Peheli baar dekha hai pillar ke height ka baccha

Itne bade bacche ko toh world record meh entry milni chahiye…..huh…….Baccha

Everyone in the canteen burst out laughing

This drew the attention of the vice principal and he stormed into canteen.

Seeing him everyone stood in attention as though there were attending a military camp and he was their instructor.

He commanded everyone to go attend class

Some student(murmured): Ha ha lunch meh bhi jake class meh baithenge. Isko VP kisne banaya yaar knowelege chodo road ke bhikari ke paas jitna general knowledge hota hai woh bhi nahi.

VP: Kya kaha

Student's gf: kuch nahi sir, aap aaj bahut ace lag rahe hai aaj

VP: Obviously(Walked out as though he was walking on the ramp that to like a girl)

(no offence guys but that VP talks and walks gay)

Rey: Guys don't you think hume celebration plan karna chahiye na ki es tarah chup rahekar ek doosre ko ghurte baithana.

Vish: Seriously issa lag raha hai jaiseki kisi ka matatam attend karne aaye hu.

Rey: Ma…What

Vicky: Matam, meaning death ceremony..

Rey: Ya Whatever pata hai muhje, zyada bhaav mat kha

Everyone: chuckled trying to suppress their laughter

Amar: Toh tam loog tya tarenge (toh hum loog kya karenge)

And as obvious as it may seem Rey

(the head of the planning committee chahe serious problem ho, ya ladaki ki problem ho, ya RDX aur Nicole ki wedding ho okay job hi ha sab problems ko solve karne ke plan of action humesha enke paas hota hai)already had planned out everything only execute karne ki deri thi…….
