Part 20
Shyam's lips were inches away from hers.
Suddenly, he felt a hard blow on his face. In an instant, the ground beneath him gave way completely and he plunged straight down into the floor.
Khushi could just stand and stare as Shyam collapsed onto the ground, his lips and nose bleeding. She turned around to see where the blow came from.
"Arnav..."she whispered in shock...
Khushi's eyes widenned. Arnav's eyes had turned red with anger and he was staring murderously at Shyam. She stared at the floor to gather herself up, to regain her composure. She closed her eyes and sighed at her near escape from Shyam.
Arnav was clenching his fists. He wanted to kill that bas***d then and there. But the person who was more important to him now was the girl right beside him standing still, all shaken. As he turned to look at her, his eyes turned all tender. She was trembling. If he had come a minute late, Shyam would have... he flinched even at the thought of it. She needed him right now. He walked towards her gently. As she noticed him coming, she quickly pushed him away, jerking him away from her. Arnav saw pure hatred in her eyes. She was biting her teeth in anger.
"Khushi... ",he whispered and tried to come near her.
She gave him another push and ran upstairs.

Arnav suddenly turned around to see Shyam wriggling in pain. His veins were bursting with anger. He went towards him and gave him a hard kick between his legs resulting in a painful roar from Shyam. Another blow went on his stomach. Arnav then picked him up from his collar, curled his fist and gave him a final blow on his jaw which sent him flying near the kitchen table and he lay there unconscious.
Arnav was breathing heavily. What had he done?,he thought. Why did he not trust khushi?,he cursed himself.
Arnav had tried forcing himself to sleep when he saw Shyam and khushi in the kitchen but as the voices grew louder he couldn't resist but have a look at what was going on between the love birds. But what he heard had sent him into a state of shock.
Thank god he heard their conversation...

Arnav went towards the stairs. He couldn't gather courage to face Khushi. What would he say to her? What will he do now?
"I would have never got engaged to you if I knew you were already married! I hate you! You disgust me! "
He gripped the railing to gather support. He couldn't even wak further because of guilt.
"I didnt tell your truth to everyone because I thought you will change."
Tears welled up in his eyes. Khushi had thought so much about the family and he had turned her life upside down.
"Khushi Ji! You were the one who asked me to leave Anjali. "
"I asked you to leave her because you don't deserve her! She is the best wife in this world. She deserves the best husband. "
Arnav wanted to slap himself. How could he misinterpret Khushi's words. She had come as an angel in his life filling it with happiness and joy and in return he had killed his own angel.
He gently opened the door to his room. He gave a heavy sigh as he saw Khushi standing in the middle of the room facing her back to him.
He stealthily walk towards her and stood behind her not knowing what to say.
Khushi felt his presence near her. She wanted to push him away from her,away from her life. She turned around and met his guilt filled eyes. Memories flashed in front of her as her eyes filled with tears.
"I will break you Khushi! I will break you from inside! You will better consider yourself as dead!"
" It is sad that the people around you love you so much! Coz you don't DESERVE THAT! A characterless girl like you will never deserve it!"
"A sly shameless girl like you can go to any extent!"
"I bet your parents were the same as you.As Shameful as you!"
SLAP!
Arnav felt a hard slap on his cheek which blackened him for a second. he touched his cheek with his fingers. As he opened his eyes, he saw no khushi there. He heard the door bang hard behind him.
"Khushi...",he whispered,"I am so sorry",he said to himself as he sat on the floor on his knees.
PRECAP~ Khushi has vanished...

Sorry for such a short update.. It was supposed to b a long one but did not have time to write the whole thing.
