Part 12

"It's just... we heard somethings. We wanted to check what happened. Is everything alright?" Nani asked, concern filled her voice.

"Umm..."Arnav looked at Khushi with pained eyes, wondering if he should say anything. Little did he know that both his Di and Nani had caught that look. "Yea, everything is fine, Nani. We will come down in a bit." he told them.

Khushi didn't know what to do. She remembered that in the beginning of the marriage, Arnav had told her that she will only do what he says. That she will listen to him only. So thats what she did just now. She let him talk and waited for him to finish. When she first started talking, se was terrified of what he might do, especially once they were alone again. But he just closed the door after them and waited. He slowly turned around to face her.

Khushi looked up to look at him and saw his eyes were red. Khushi was surprised, she wanted to go and comfort him, tell him that she could never hate him, but she was still angry at him.

Arnav didn't want to interrupt her, but he didn't want his family to know what was going on. He knew that if he interrupted her, she would think that she still had to listen to him. He didn't care though, he just wanted her back. He didn't care what the cost was.

Her words still cut through his heart as he closed the door after his Di and Nani. She had said she hated him. But didn't deserve that? Hadn't he wanted that, that maybe if she hated him, he could hate her back. That whatever he was doing to her, wouldn't be so hard to do. So why did it hurt him when she said those words, when he finally achieved his goal?

Because he still loved her. Because he had been wrong in everything he had done and he would do anything and everything to win back her trust and her!
