Part 25

The guards heard Khushi scream Arnav's name. They started after her and saw a car race off. They ran after the car but car was too fast for them. Mr. Raizada was gonna kill them.
Arnav was on his way down the stairs from his cabin, when he faintly heard Khushi scream his name. The way she screamed sent a chill down his spine. He let go of the papers in his hand as he raced down the steps. He flew out the door to find neither of the guards nor Khushi where he left them. He went to the road to find a car speed off and the two guards run after it. He didn't know where he got the energy, but he ran like he had never run before. He passed the guards, but the car was faster. "KHUSHI!!!!! STOP!!!!!!" he screamed after the car, tears falling down his face. He fell to the ground crying, saying her name over and over. "No... I broke my promise." he sobbed. "I'm...so..so...sorry. Soo sorry." He felt his heart being ripped out of his heart and then being stepped on. He had betrayed her. He had broken his promise. He couldn't keep her safe. He screamed out as pain rippled through his whole body. He felt as if someone had beaten and then burned him alive. All his memories flashed before his eyes. When he had made her sleep outside the night of their wedding, watching her take Mami's insults, when he had yelled at her and broken the necklace the night of the dance competition. None of that hurt him enough like this did. Knowing that she was with Shyam, and who knows what he would do to her.
Khushi kept looking in the back window for Arnav, screaming his name. She turned to the man that had taken her and started yelling at him, hitting him. Trying to get him to let her go, she started scratching his face. He stopped the car on the side of the road and she thought that he would tell her to get out like Arnav had done before. He turned to her and the last thing she saw was his hand coming near her before she blacked out.
'She should be happy that I took her', Shyam thought to himself. Now they could both be happy. She could have the abortion without the fear of Arnav. But, instead, she was yelling at him, beating him. His anger overtook him and he stopped the car and slapped her. He didn't realize how hard he hit her cause her head hit the window and she fainted. He started the car again and drove towards the room he had rented. He was going to disappear with Khushi forever...
Arnav had to find her. He had just gotten her back, she was finally warming up to him, he had lost her. No, he wasn't going to lose her again. He was going to find her! He wiped her tears and got up. He walked to his car and didn't even realize that the two guards flinched as he passed by. He got into his car and made a couple of calls. He called the cops to get people looking for the bas***d. He called the telephone company and asked for last gps location. He called a friend in estate to see if he could get anything on any recently rented or bought places. He was going to find that SOB and his wife if it was the last thing he did. He sped into the driveway of RM and ran into the house. He faintly heard Nani, Di, Mami and Payal ask him what happened. He ignored everybody as he went into his room and unlocked the safe he had in his closet. He opened to find his will gone. He knew what that bas***d was up to. He wouldn't leave Delhi until he did what he wanted to.
Shyam reached the lone apartment, got out and picked up Khushi in his arms. He carried her up to the room he had rented and locked door after them. He laid her down on the full bed in the bed room and moved a couple stray pieces of hair from her face. 'She looks so beautiful' he thought to himself. She would be his now. He just had one thing left to do before they left this city forever.
Arnav heard everyone enter his room, but he didn't have time to explain. He passed them and went to his Di's room and started going trying to open his drawer. But it wouldn't budge. He got a toothpick and started picking at the lock. He finally got it open and started going through all his papers. He heard his Di ask him why he was going through her husband's thugs and where Khushi was. He ignored her and continued looking until he found what he was looking for. He took it, leaving the drawer open and ran out the door without a word, leaving his family shocked and speechless.
