Samar is walking angrily while a guy is walking on the same way and they collide...

Samar ' What the hell! Can't you see?

The guy ' Sorry... Amm... I was in hurry so I didn't see you...

Samar (realising that it was his mistake too) It's ok... Well, I am sorry too. I was angry and walking as a blind and...

The guy ' It's ok bhaijaan..

Samar (curiously) ' Bhai what?

The guy ' Amm... Bhaijaan?

Samar ' okay... are you new here?

The guy ' yeah! I am Rajiv Khan.

Rajiv is 21 year old guy. His father is Muslim but mother is Hindu. He is very shy and innocent. He is very good at photography...

Samar ' Hi! I am Samar Singh.

Rajiv ' Are you 1^st year student?

Samar ' Yup... And I think you are too...

Rajiv ' Oh yes!

Samar ' What's your room no.?

Rajiv ' It is 23, 1^st floor...

Samar ' What? Are you sure?

Rajiv (politely) ' Yes, why?

Samar ' My room no. is 23 too. But my room partner is someone else...

Rajiv ' How this could be?

Samar ' Let's go to my room and check... (Doubts something)

Samar and Rajiv arrive to room no. 23.

In the room:

Samar ' Kaksh!

Kaksh ' I am sorry Sam... I was just behaving like an idiotic creature...

Samar ' That's ok yaar... I know no one change his own nature... But tell me, what is your room no.?

Kaksh ' 32... Why?

Samar ' Then what are you doing here? It's room no. 23...

Kaksh ' What? It's 23. I thought it's 32. Oh! That means I am not your room partner... (Sadly)

Samar (understanding his feeling as a friend) '

"Friendship has no boundaries,

Friends can never be apart,

Friendship is not a blood relationship,

But friends always stay in the heart..."

Kaksh hugs Samar very tightly and Samar almost chocking!!

Samar ' Ok!! That's it..!!!

Samar clears his throat and introduces Rajiv.

Samar ' Kaksh meet Rajiv. He is my room partner.

Kaksh (with wide smile) ' Hello!!

Rajiv ' hello bhaijaan..

Kaksh ' amm.. bhaijaan?

Samar ' It means brother.

Kaksh wipes his teary eyes...

Rajiv to Samar ' What happened?

Samar ' Nothing to worry.. He is just doing emotional drama...

Kaksh ' Sam!

Samar ' ok, ok... Now shift to your room ok?

Kaksh ' ok...

At Girls' Hostel:

Karnika and Jiya are in their room.

Jiya ' K, what's your section?

Karnika ' It's C.

Jiya ' Wow! Mine too...

Karnika ' It is great to have a friend like you around...

Jiya ' Yeah... yeah...

Suddenly someone knocks the door.

A girl ' Excuse me?

Karnika ' yes?

The girl ' Can you tell me...a...

Jiya (surprisingly) ' You are here? I mean... Pragya... Wow! I can't believe my good luck!

Pragya Ganguly, 20 year old girl, Jiya's friend. She is simple and lovely girl. She is very intelligent.

Jiya ' K meet Pragya. She is my friend.

Karnika ' Hello Pragya...

Pragya ' Hi, K... I mean...err..

Jiya - It's Karnika.

Pragya - Oh, Hi Karnika.

Jiya ' What's your room no. and section?

Pragya ' My section is C and room no. is 24.But...

Karnika ' Is anything wrong?

Pragya ' Yup... My room is locked. What should I do?

Jiya ' Let's go to the warden. K, I am going with Pragya, are you coming with us?

Karnika ' You go, I am very tired... Pragya , Jiya I will meet you in the garden after sometime...

Prayga ' ok... bye and have some rest. ok?

Jiya ' Bye, take care...

Karnika ' yeah.

Chapter 4

In the garden (it's a common garden):

Samar, Kaksh and Rajiv are walking and suddenly...

Move!!! Move!!!

They look back and a boy on skates collides with Kaksh... and they fall down.

Kaksh (as if he is badly injured) ' Ah! Am I dead?

The boy ' No... Unfortunately you are still alive!

Kaksh (looking at the boy) ' Let me guess! You are Arjun Verma... right?

Arjun is Kaksh's friend. He is his neighbour... He is smart and obviously, of sporty nature.

Samar and Rajiv are confused and...

Rajiv (innocently) ' How you know his name bhaijaan? Do you have any intuition power?

Samar ' No he doesn't. I am sure he knows this guy. Am I right Kaksh?

Arjun ' Yup. You are right! I am Arjun Verma, Kaksh's neighbour.

Kaksh ' Arjun meet Samar and Rajiv.

Arjun ' hello...

Rajiv shakes hand while Samar smiles.

Arjun's phone ringing...

Arjun (accepting the call) ' Hi! Where are you?

The voice ' I am waiting for you in the garden.

Arjun ' But I am too in the garden. Where are you?

The voice ' Yup! I saw you. I am coming, wait there.

Arjun ' ok. (Disconnected the call)

Samar ' Who was there?

Kaksh ' Ahahan! GF?

Arjun ' Nop. It was my brother, Harsh.

Samar and Rajiv break into laughter while Arjun smiles at Kaksh's stupidity.

Kaksh ' ok ok! That's it!

Arjun ' Here comes my brother (Waving hand)

Harsh waves back.

Harsh Verma, Arjun's brother, is a book worm and is very practical. He is smart too. He wears spectacles but gels his hair.

Harsh ' Hi, bro!

Arjun ' Hi!

Harsh looks at others.

Harsh ' Err?

Arjun ' Meet Samar and Rajiv! They are my new friends. And of course, Kaksh, our neighbour is also there.

Harsh smiles at Samar and Rajiv and looks worried when he sees Kaksh.

Samar to Harsh ' Don't worry. When I met Kaksh, my expressions were the same as yours!

All laugh.

They all sit on bench in the garden and start talking when...

Karnika enters the scene. She is standing under a tree and is looking beautiful in red suit.

Kaksh to Samar ' Hey Sam! Your t-shirt is cool. Red t-shirt with black jacket! Nice...

Samar ' Thanks yaar...

Kaksh ' Now please bring some burgers from the canteen and...

Samar ' Ok! That's why I was thinking why you are praising me! You are really selfish...

Kaksh ' Sam please... please... please...

Samar ' ok! Ok!

Samar is on his way to canteen and Karnika is also searching Jiya and Pragya.

They are about to collide but Rajiv looks it and warns Samar...

Rajiv ' Bhaijaan sambhalke! (Bro look out!)

Samar and Karnika collide.

Karnika's books fall down and Samar looks at Karnika and falls for her...

Karnika (picking up her books) ' Err... Sorry! I didn't look at you...

Samar (helping Karnika) ' it is a... a... I... I...

He is mesmerised...

Karnika stands up while Samar, still on the ground and is looking at her...

Karnika ' I am Sorry.

Samar (gradually standing up) :

Why am I feeling different? Why am I feeling lost? It seems as if something is holding me... It seems as if sunshine has appeared in the frost...

He is totally lost in her beautiful eyes...

Samar's friends were looking at them and...

Karnika ' Sorry?

Samar (suddenly) ' Ah... I mean... I mean... I am sorry too...

Karnika ' It's ok.

She is about to go when Samar stops her by holding her hand...

Karnika looks at him...

Samar (moves his hand back, realising that he shouldn't touch her) ' Sorry...Err... Hello. I am Samar... Samar Singh.

Karnika looks at him, then gazes sideways and stands silently.

Samar ' Err... I am new here. Can you tell me that; is there... Err... a... any telephone booth here?

He knows where it is, but you know, she will feel comfortable if he doesn't do Romeo type things... Although he is a nice boy but love makes everyone crazy!

Karnika (pointing towards the telephone booth) ' It's there...

Samar ' By the way, I am Samar Singh.

(Says as to remind her that he is willing to know her name...)

Karnika ' err... Hello, I am Karnika... Karnika Deshmukh.

Samar ' I am admitted to Karna Pratap Singh College (KPSC) and you?

Karnika ' I am too.

Samar ' I am 1^st year student...

Karnika ' Me too.

Samar ' C section?

Karnika ' Yup.

Samar and Karnika smile.

Karnika ' Bye...

Samar ' Bye... meet you in the college, tomorrow...

Karnika ' If luck wants...

Samar 'Fate is nothing when we desire something deeply...

Karnika ' Ok... I agree. Are you in poetic mood or what?

Samar ' I am good at poetry.

Karnika smiles and leaves.

Samar looks at Karnika till she disappears in the crowd...

Samar is smiling and thinking about Karnika, closes his eyes and as he turns back and...

Samar (with deep love) ' Karnika... (Opens his eyes)

Rajiv (mischievously) ' Ok! Her name is Karnika... nice name huh?

Harsh ' Yup. What's the full name? (Turning toward Arjun)

Arjun ' Karnika Deshmukh...

Samar is unable to control his expressions...

Kaksh ' What? My bhabhi's (sister-in-law's) name is Karnika Deshmukh... ok... I am at cloud nine...

They all giggle and laugh...

Samar (trying to convince his friends) ' What? She is just a friend! I collided with her that's why I was helping her pick up her books... That's it!

Harsh ' ok... Arjun, Kaksh! Lights, Camera, and ... Action!

Arjun and Kaksh collide as if they are acting like Samar and Karnika respectively...

Kaksh ' I am sorry...

Arjun ' It is ... a... a... I ... I...

Rajiv controls his laughter while Harsh is openly laughing!

Kaksh ' Sorry?

Arjun ' I mean I am sorry too... Err...

(Now highlighting this dialogue):

Arjun ' Where is telephone booth?

And all break into laughter...

Samar (gets irritated) ' What the hell! I am going to my room...

Rajiv (stopping Samar) ' Wait bhaijaan... (bro...) They all are just kidding... Don't take them seriously...

Samar ' Yeah... yeah... I am going to my room...

Samar leaves...
