Part # 14
Maan made Muskan comfortable wid her ice-cream & then got up from his seat & went & sat beside Geet. Geet looked at him from corner of her eyes sitting beside her but dint say anything & kept looking out. Maan sighed at her being indifferent & said, "Geet mera gussa ice-cream par toh mat nikalo. See its melting." Geet dint say anyhting but start eating her ice-cream after all how can she be angry on ice-cream, hai naa! On the other hand Maan thot, "chalo ice-cream toh kha rahi hai." They ate their ice-cream in silence & all the while Maan's eyes glued on Geet only & he kept on thinking of ways to manaofy her but nothing clicked in his so called very sharp mind. 😆
After finishing their ice-cream they made their way to the car. All sat in Muskan in Geet's lap fully contented wid the day's events. She placed her head in the crook of Geet's neck & closed her eyes feeling sleepy due to day's exertion. Geet smiled at her & patted her cheek gently. Maan was looking at them & wen he saw Geet smiling he thot she is no more angry hence thot to break the ice & said, "She must be tired!" he said while carressing Muskan's face gently but Geet dint reply rahter looked other side. Maan looked at her & sighed knowing he was wrong! He started the car & drove to foundation to drop Muskan. The whole journey went in silence wid Maan stealing glances of Geet but Geet not at all giving him a single look let alone talking.
They reached the foundation & went inside. Maan had taken Muskan in his arms from Geet even after her protest on the pretext that she will get tired in carrying sleeping Muskan till her room. They went 1st to the warden's room to let her know that they are back & then along with warden move to Muskan's room. As Maan was laying Muskan on bed she slowly opened her eyes getting disturbed. Maan smiled at her & kissed her forehead & said, "sleep beta! Aap thak gaye ho naa." Muskan nodded cutely & asked, "aap dono ja rahe ho?" Geet sat beside her carressing her face & said, "haan beta, its getting dark na toh mujhe akele darr lagta hai isiliye apke uncle mujhe drop karne ja rahe hain but we will come next time again." Muskan smiled & said, "pakka" to which Geet kissed her cheek & said, "pakka".
Maan & Geet went out after bidding a bye to Muskaan & went to the car. Both sat inside, Maan was abt to say something jsut then Geet's cell rang. She picked it up & spoke, "hello". It was Raj on other side, "Geet kaha hai tu? Are done wid ur outing?" Geet rolled her eyes & said, "haan ji. U meet me at infinity mall in half an hr." Raj got confused & asked, "wahan kyu?""U jst be dere I'll tell U." Raj sighed knowing she wont tell it now, "thik hai I'll be dere come soon." with that he hung up. Geet turned to Maan to tell him to drop her dere but Maan spoke b4, "Infinity Mall, right?" Geet just nodded & looked out from her window. Maan took a deep breathe & said, "Geet are u angry on me?"Wow, Maan wot a genius question u asked, he thot to himself. Geet was like arggghhh but controlling herself she said, "no why wud I be?" Maan was not expecting this he got confused & said, "then why are u not talking to me?" Geet sighed & said coldly, "bas aise he. Am not feeling to talk!" Yes now this was something closer to wot Maan was expecting her to ans 😆 & he knew she's still angry. Sighing he started the car & drove towards the mall.
He tried many times to talk to her but she dint let him & moreover the traffic on road was not letting him divert his attention from road. Just then something clicked & he took a turn opp. to the way they were supposed to go. He knew Geet wud defo gonna ask him but whom he was tricking was The Geet Handa, she knew very well he has taken a long route to get her attention but she's not going to give up! Maan felt like pulling his hair for thinking such stupid idea. 🤣 "Had it been any business crisis I wud have solved it in minutes but how do I pacify her." and looked at her.
He then thot to lighten her mood wid music so he turn on the FM & it played the song "Achha ji main haari chalo maan jao naa" Maan smiled sadly thinking wot a perfect song for perfect situation wid one difference that here he is the one who has to manaofy instead of Madhubala (aaa haan! 😉 ). He then played the fast frwd version of song in his mind & then banged his hand on steering wheel realising that Madhubala dint succeed in the end of the song. 😆 Geet looked at him making a face thinking wots wrong wid him but was surprised wen he pulled the car to a sudden halt & turned to her, "Geet plz ab maan bhi jao!" Geet gave him a glare & stormed out of the car & stood leaning over the bonnet.
"Samajhte kya hain khudko? Ek toh kuch bhi bolte hain phir manate bhi nahi hain aur keh rahe hain ki maan jao, huh! Mana main bina jaan-pehchan ke inke sath aa gayi par woh toh sirf Muskan ke liye tha, hai na babaji." she cribbed looking upwards, "par iska matlab yeh thode he hai ki yeh kuch bhi bolenge. Ab toh main pakka nahi maanne wali, haan." Maan too got out of the car & went to her.
He stood in front of her & spoke, "Geet, I know maine kuch zyada he bol diya but that was not intentional. U knw naa hw situation was at that time. I was worried for urs & Muskan's safety as u both were my responsibilty. And then Muskan's innocent question were jst irritating me & I blurted widout thinking. It was slip of tongue, Geet. I dint mean those words. So, plz forget it." Maan sighed as he finished. Geet was all the while looking in his eyes which were showng sincerity but she can't melt this soon. He has to try hard, hence she moved away & started walking towrds other side of the road.
Maan threw his hands up in the air not knowing wot else to do. He has never been in such situation before. He brushed his fingers in his hair trying to think. Just then a man in his late 30s walked past to him. Maan instantly went to him stopping him asked, "bhai saab, kya aap bata sakte hain agar koi kisi ladki ko manana ho toh kya karna chahiye?" 😆 The man looked at Maan exasperatedly hearing his weird question but then he thot maybe his girlfriend is angry wid him & he doesn't know wot to do so thot to help him. He spoke, "jahan tak mujhe pata hai aisi situations mein naa ladki ko thoda pamper karna padta hai. Aap apni girlfriend ko phool, cards de sakte hain ya phir romantic dinner par le jaiye. Thodi emotional pyar bahri baatein kijiye woh pakka maan jaegi." Maan listened but gave the man a downcasted look which he dint get & said, "aap itna kijiye woh pakka maan jaegi. All the best!" saying so he left from there leaving a confused Maan behind.
Maan pondered over the man's words & thot, "Wot rubbish. Kya bakwas kar raha tha woh. Maan Singh Khurana yeh sab nahi karta. Flowers, cards these are not my ways. Sunne mein he kitne cheesy lagte hain. Aur waise bhi usne yeh sab ladki ko manane ke liye kaha tha naa ki kisi Sherni ko. But then wot shud I do? Usko naraz kiya hai toh manana toh padega par kaise?" He was drowned in his thots that he failed to notice Geet who was looking at him across the road. Geet was not understanding wot is he doing. 1st he stopped a man & started talking to him but wot & then he was talking to himself. "Has he gone mad or wot? Instead of saying something meaningful in his defence he's standing there talking to random ppl or himself. He has surely lost." thot Geet & then turned away & started walking ahead. Maan finally coming out of his thots looks at Geet & found her walking away. Suddenly something clicked in his mind, he fished out his cell from his pocket & went to his car.
Maan connected his cell with car's stereo system & played a song on its full volume & went stood beside his car looking at the walking Geet.

Geet halted in her tracks the moment the voice of the song reached her ears. Is this Maan singing was the only question rang in her mind. Out of curiosity she turned around & found Maan standing leaning over the car wid his arms crossed in front. She frowned not finding him singing thinking from where this voice is coming. Maan understood her dilemma & smirked at his plan. But it dint take geet long to understand his trick. She gave him an angry glare & again walked off leaving a stunned Maan behind.

Maan had by now taken out his cell & had started walking behind Geet still playing the song. As for him that's only way he can pacify her. But she was nowhere to stop & Maan was not knowing wot else he shud do.

None of them realized that they had reached the beach side they were just walking. Though Geet was somewot melting now wid Maan's unique gesture but still she dint show. But the next set of lyrics made both of them amazed.

Finally it was the limit for Maan, hence he sped up & caught hold of Geet's wrist to stop from walking. Geet dint try to free herself & stood dere. Maan pulled her slwoly towards himself & turned her to face holding her shoulders.
Geet looked into his eyes which were showing sincerity of his actions, guilt for his words & something more on which she cudn't put her finger. Maan too looked into her eyes & found himself drowing in the most beautiful pair of almond hazels he has ever seen. Both shared an eye-lock (not a maahi moment guys ) & none was paying attention to the song which was now acting as a background score.

The song finished & the music stopped but Maan-Geet were still lost in each other's eyes trying to read them, to comprehend the many emotions which were flooding in their eyes but were not able to. They dint realize that song has stopped & both were starring into each other's eyes. The moment was appearing beautiful wid them standing near the sea water & the sun was now setting giving the whole moment a blissful arena.
There moment was disturbed wid ringing of Geet's cell. Both broke their eye-lock & looked away not getting wot was going on few moments back. Geet recieved the call which was from Raj saying that he's reached the mall & is waiting for her. She told him she'l be dere in sometime & hung up. Maan looked at Geet & them came in front of her & spoke, "Geet, listen to me atleast!" She dint say anything so Maan continued, "Please Geet believe me I dint mean those words at all neither did I say them from my heart. I was just not thinking anything at that time. It was purely a slip of tongue. I know U are angry but plz now forget that all thinking it was my stupidity." Geet jsut kept silent & looked down. Maan held her chin wid his thumb & index finger & made her look up to him & said, "Geet, see I don't knwo wen we will meet again, probably may not meet again as well. So, I don't us to part away like this. Though we had spent only a day together but I believe it was beautiful day wid beautiful memories. I don't to ruin the sweetness of this day wid this bitter moment. I want that wenever we remember this day we must smile & not get sad or angry. So, if u too think similar then plz forget all my stupid words & smile if u believe in my words which I have said to u now." Maan took a deep breathe as he finished still looking at her.
Geet remained silent for sometime & kept looking at his curious face and then she gave her most cute & beautiful smile to him & said, "I believe u Maan & I do agree wid ur words. I am no more angry wid u. Infact, main toh bahut der pehle maan gayi thi jab aapne car ke pass mujhe manane ki koshish ki thi naa tab." Maan looked at her shocked wid her revealation & asked, "toh phir itni der se yeh sab kya tha?" Geet giggled finding him shocked & said, "well, yeh apki punishment thi mujhe gussa dilane ke liye!" Maan cudn't believe wot he heard & said, "Geet I can't u were all the while acting. U know u r only one piece of ur kind. U were fooling me around & I was trying to pacify ur anger not knowing ur mischiefs. But Geet u have to pay for messing wid me now!" he said last sentence giving her an intimidating look which gave goosebumps to Geet.

I guess it was a long update & I hope I have compensated for lost time. 😊 Friends this is the first time I have tried to describe a song sequence which I don't know if U'l like or not. I was very nervous while writing so do tell me ur views abt it. 😳
