Khushi just stared at Arnav.

Her mouth wide open...

Her eyes wide...

She had been so weak and heartbroken over the last few weeks...

She'd been sick with despair, feeling empty...

But right now...Arnav's strong presence was holding her every nerve captive...

She was terrified and yet expectant...

Arnav began walking toward her...he knew she was scared, he knew he had more grovelling to do than any other person on the planet, but right now...he needed her to listen to him...

"Khushi...I'm not going to hurt you, i just need you to hear me out...and this is the only way i'm going to get you alone..."

Khushi was backing up on the bed fearing what he'd do next..."stay away from me! You have hurt me enough! I can't forgive this! I don't want to talk to you!"

"Khushi, " Arnav, now standing his ground said, "your mouth may say you don't want to talk to me, but your eyes won't shut up...i see how much i have hurt you, but i also see that you still feel for me...whether they are good or bad feelings i don't care! You feel something for me! And i'm not letting you leave this room until those feelings are clear!"

"You can't keep me here! I will scream!"

"Then scream."

"my amma and buaji will come running!"

"Let them come, the doors are locked..."

Khushi suddenly realized that she literally was trapped. She slumped on the bed and started to cry softly...Arnav's heart ached for her...he knelt next to the bed, "khushi, please...your tears make me feel like all the blood is draining out of me...i'm not going to hurt you...i promise...i just want to talk to you..."

Khushi looked up...her eyes wild with aggression..."ALL THOSE TIMES!!! All those times i wanted to talk to YOU! And you just left me, walked off...and now YOU want to talk to me?! NO! You can talk till you lose your voice, but nothing is going to make me forgive you..."

"Khushi, i love you..."

"DON'T! Don't say that!" and Khushi pushed him away from her...

"you want to get out of here?" Arnav asked plainly

"yes."

"okay then."

"What?!" his answer took her by surprise...

"i will willingly let you out as soon as you accept my terms."

"what terms..."

"I said that i won't let you leave till i know your true feelings for me...so...i will present to you a series of challenges...and once you have completed them all, i won't stop you from leaving..."

"Agreed?."

"Fine."

"But Khushi... first i will tell you this..." within two strides he had reached the bed and leaned over her looking her straight in the eye...his mouth dangerously close to hers...his voice came out deep and dark..."Khushi...i can't live without you, i'm madly in love with you...and i know that i have hurt you, my heart feels like it's lacerated with pain...and i'm truly sorry...but i feel, my heart feels that you love me...even when you leave this room, if you still don't return my love i won't rest, i won't give up until i have won you back..."

Khushi's eyes were locked onto his...he slowly backed away and said..."Let's begin then..."
