Kushi stood rooted by the window remembering what happened tonight. Even though it was weird she still sees his eyes and the naughtiness even though it was only evident there. The wind was conspiring against her and bringing his scent to her , she could smell him all over the place. She stood there admiring the beauty of a man she hadn't seen properly and might never get to see again. Well there you have the irony of life, showing her something she can never have.

"Kushi..Kushi..Sanka devi..this girl is crazy" Buaji came forward to shake a confused Kushi out of her thoughts.

"What?!...What is it Buaji?"

"A marriage proposal has come for you, child, they want to come see you next week."

"But Buaji you know I don't want to get married."

"It doesn't matter what you want, think of your parents."

"I don't want to hear it, I'm going to go talk to Ma." Kushi said stomping off to the living room angrily. Why won't her family leave her alone and why on earth won't they get Payal married off first? I can't believe this woman, wait till ma finds out what she has done. Even she'll tell her to stop this nonsense. Ma knows I don't want to get married right now. I'll just go tell her that.

"Ma Buaji has brought another proposal for me. She wants me to get married."

"Kushi you know that we're doing this for you. You have to find someone to look after you."

"Ma you too?.. What about mom's wish? You know she wanted me to be independent and see the world before I get married."

" Kushi I'm your mother now and I love you and want what's best for you. Please try to understand."

"But.."

"Kushi you don't have the money to travel."

"Ma I don't want to get married. Not now not for the next two years." Kushi screamed at the top of her lungs. Marching back to her bedroom closing the door behind in anger.

"Chote, I've found the perfect girl for you..we're even going to go see her in a weeks time." Anjali said to her brother who was sitting on his bed with his attention fully on his laptop. He was her prize possession, the only thing she had in this world. Seeing him work like this day and night only to make her happy and take care of her every wish she felt her heart weep in joy. Her brother, her chote had become so big that he was now taking care of his di, but now she wanted to find a good girl for him to settle down with.

"Haan Di.. I told you I'll marry whomever you choose for me." Arnav said not wanting to divert his attention from his laptop.

" Arnav you have to come with me." Arnav knew she only called him by his name when she wanted him to do something serious. Now Di won't leave before I agree but I don't want to go see any girl it's not like I'm going to fall in love with this girl. I hope to see the girl form tonight, her silky hair and big expressive eyes. Arnav what are you saying forget her, she's gone and you shouldn't care.

"Arnav are you listening?"

"Di you go see her, I'm not interested. I know you only get the best for me." Arnav said trying to make her feel better.

"Chote this is not a business deal, you'll have to see if she can be the one to make your heart beat faster, the one that you never want to let go. The one you'll give your heart too, the one.."

"The one you're destined to be with..Right di?" Arnav said to Anjali and winked at her.

"Chote it's not a joke, what if she's not your soul mate?"

"Soul mate?..really Di. I think I should go before you start talking about love and all." Arnav said walking away. "Soul mate.." He repeated laughing to himself while he went down the stairs.

Arnav stood there with his mouth wide open. Never in his life had anyone spoken to him like that.

"Oh hero close your mouth before flies find their way inside." Kushi said while laughing.
