Part 4

After getting home Kushi ran to the mirror and stood staring at her reflection. Half her face was covered in sindoor and it went all the way from her forehead down to her nose all the way to her chin. Not to mention her white dress all covered in red and by whom, none other than the most stuck-up arrogant and self centered man in the world. Who by the way smelled GREAT. Kushi what are you saying?..How can you be thinking about how he smells when half of your body is covered by sindoor. But still he kind of smelled like the guy at the party, he was good looking too. Not that it makes the situation better.. Wait am I married to this guy now? No, no, no, don't even think about it kushi, Just go and take a long warm shower. Kushi rushed to the shower having this conversation with herself.

Arnav on the other hand didn't take the situation as lightly. He was not thinking about the sindoor incident, he was thinking about the girl who dared speak to the Arnav Singh Raizada like that. Her eyes reminded him of someone, he couldn'tput a finger on it but he knew he'd seen those expressive eyes before. The playfulness and the innocence was something he had seen before. He sat there staring at the stars trying to understand what his heart was trying to tell him..Heart?! really Arnav it looks like Di's crap finally caught up with you. Since when do you think about what your heart is trying to say of all thing. I think I need some sleep if not a vacation. Di is driving me crazy with this talk about love heart and what not.

Next day

Anjali was busy trying to get all the shagun thing ready to go visit the girls family. She wanted the marriage to take place as soon as possible so that her chote could start his "happily forever after". But like any other important family events her baby brother was missing again. He had said he'd be back in time for them to visit the family but now wasn't answering her calls.

"Chote hurry up we have to go visit the girls family. Don't you want to see your future wife?" Anjali said while knocking on the door. When she didn't get an answer she opened his bedroom door and went into his bedroom. Arnav was no where to be seen and on the bed there was a note writen "Di" on it. Anjali scared of what she might find went closer and picked up the note.

On the note he had written:

Di, I know you're mad at me at the moment but you know i don't like all this nonsense. So i think you should go and see the girl by yourself and tell them i'm away on a business trip. I'm going camping and i'll be back in two weeks time. Now i didn't say i wasn't getting married so smile. Love you di.

Anjali didn't know what to say. She knew her brother was capable of stupid things but this was the last straw. How could he leave her all alone to face the music and go CAMPING of all things. Now it was up to her to handle the proposal. Whatever might happen she'll get him married. Determined to get her brother married Anjali went downstairs to get some work done. Boy was she happy she had hid the girl's picture on the dashboard of his car.

Gupta house:

Buaji and Garima were getting ready for the boy's family to come when the phone started ringing. Buaji ran to the phone scared that the family that was coming had changed their mind.

"Halo..Ji namaste...how are you doing?. When are you getting here? By Gods grace everything is fine here.. No of course we don't mind...Namaste ji" All Garima could hear was one sided conversation between Buaji and what sounded like the boys family.

"Buaji what happened"

"They want us to.."

"What did they say Buaji"

"They wanted us to meet them without Kushi. The boy isn't coming either, instead they want Kushi to look at his picture."

"That is weird..But they are the boys family whatever they want is fine by me." Saying this Garima continued her work. What they didn't know is that Kushi was standing at the doorway listening to their conversation. When she heard what they had to say she turned back and walked towards her bedroom. "If i don't need to be here for when the family comes and they are sure that they want me to marry him then i should get time to live my last days of freedom my way." Saying this Kushi started looking for some paper and a pen. After she found what she was looking for she sat down by her desk and started writing.

Dear Amma and Buaji..no Kushi that sounds stupid why write a letter to buaji..She then threw the paper and started again.

Dear Amma and babuji, i am going away for a few days..No Kushi you should explain where you are going. Lets try this again.

Finding a new paper she wrote the letter and she folded it in two. She then wrote "KUSHI" at the back and left it on her night table. She packed her clothes in a bag, took blessings from Devi Maiya and jumped off the window. I can't believe i'm running away well not technically since i'll be back to get married. None the less I'm running away how exciting. Kushi was so happy that she for once had done something for herself that she didn't mind her family getting tensed for a few days she'd afterall be back soon.

Sorry for the boring update but it was needed to take the story forward. 😉 Promise that the next one will have full Arnav and Kushi masti in it. 😳
