Chandni felt her hands warm...for the first time she didn't felt anything strange for him...as they walked downstairs, he loosened his grip a little...Chandni did not wanted him to leave her hand...somehow she wanted Veer to hold her hand tightly...but on the other hand she was aware of two other people in the house...she slowly pulled her hand... she was quiet, but the thoughts were continuously flowing in her mind...her heart had a feeling of closeness...for some reason she wanted to be alone with him... "shall we leave now?" his voice was like a soothing medicine for her thudding heart and for the different opinions she had been making about him...there was a touch, a relief, a security in his voice...she wanted to hear him again and again...though her eyes weren't meeting his but she could feel him looking at her... "Chandni" she could hear the depth in his voice, it seemed as if she knew him from so many years, may be even longer than that...she glanced at him "yes...".

They walked outside the house...it was a beautiful garden outside...Chandni didn't knew exactly what she was doing...Veer looked at Manohar who understood "well I am going to eat something...and I am sure you both won't enjoy with me...so I will catch you later" he walked towards the other side of the road... Veer gazed at her beautiful face... she was quiet but he could hear so many words... "so where are we going...??" he asked her while adjusting his jacket...it was windy... he saw her struggling with the cold wind...she looked at him taking off his jacket and placing it nicely on her shoulders... "Its alright..." before she could say anything "its windy, this thin top won't help" she wore it... "we can't walk that far...its better I take my car" she said...while turning back towards her house... "no need...we can go in my car" he insisted...

"it seems beautiful" he said while driving towards the narrow path... "its called tiger hill, it is the highest hill in the immediate surroundings" she said while looking outside... he was driving at a easy pace "are you always so quiet?" he asked her while giving a little glance... Chandni looked at him driving...he looked the most handsome man...even though she didn't knew much about him...she made a small picture in her mind... he was waiting for an answer, "Chandni" she immediately replied "it is eleven kilometers from Darjeeling..." he stopped the car on the side of the road and turned his side towards her...he looked at her "i hope I wasn't disturbing you...you look tense" she smiled a little "no...i...i am alright" he smiled back "that's good" he started driving... "so does this place have tigers???"
she gave a broad smile "no no...its just a name...we could even walk, but it takes around two hours to reach...you know, it is famous for spectacular sunrise view over the Himalayas...you will like it"

Soon they reached tiger hill... Chandni looked at the mountains that were spreading all around "sunrise is the best part of this place...In fact, when the sun rises, u can see the Himalayan mountains covered in a red glow that looks like someone's set fire to it...It's magnificent."

Veer looked at the mountain"so we must come before sunrise?" he glimpsed at her...he simply imagined her beauty in every part of the surroundings... Chandni continued "yes, It is a really a nice experience, specially if you want to see the orange color spreading over the greatest mountains of the world including Mount Everest..."

Chandni could feel one drop on her lips...she looked up...it started drizzling...the weather was freezing... they walked towards the car... she rubbed her hands... "sometimes its even two degrees during the off season" she said while warming her hands by rubbing them together... he saw her nose red... her cheeks were pink... "coffee??" he said while smiling at her...

she gave a broad smile while nodding her head...

There was a small tea shop run by an old Gurkha just on the side of the path, Veer stopped the car... "i will get...you please sit in the car" he opened the door of the car, and rushed outside...it was raining heavily... "two coffee..." the shop was covered with a aluminum tin, that had several leaks...the man looked at veer while placing the big vessel on his little stove... "it rains heavily saab ji" he smiled at Veer... "but this time...this weather is even worse...God knows what will happen...you must leave soon saab ji else you might face a slippery blocked roads..." there wasn't any traffic...he could hardly see any car coming towards tiger hill...

Chandni felt good about him...she now had a different feeling towards him...she wasn't scared...she continuously gazed at him, while he was talking to the Gurkha... there was something appealing about his personality...she had never seen such handsome boy in her life...his eyes seemed innocent and for her he was a descent boy who was polite with her even though he was her client who came her to build a tea estate... she felt relieved, she wasn't with a wrong man...

Veer looked at the small shop that had a few snacks and two chairs and an old table...it was all wet around... even during the day it seemed like evening... "Saab ji your coffee..." he gave him a hundred rupee note and took the cups... "Saab ji its only twenty rupees" Veer glanced quickly "keep the change" he walked towards the car... Chandni opened the door from inside... "thanks" he gave her the cup... she quickly wrapped her fingers around the warm cup and brought it towards her lips... "hot coffee helps..." she said quickly while having a sip... Veer smiled... "why don't you drink?? you don't like coffee" she queried innocently... he took a sip "its nice..." though he didn't like the taste.

He looked at her wet legs... "you must use a towel... wait" he quickly turned behind and picked up a clean towel from the back seat... "here, take it" she took the towel "thanks" , she kept her cup in the cup stand next to the stirring wheel of the car and wiped her face nicely...she bent a little to clean her wet legs... Veer was watching her but the moment she turned to keep the towel, he looked outside...he thought, if there was some other girl, he would have landed her in bed till now...his thoughts were fluctuating...her beautiful body was making him fall for her but her innocent talks stopped him from showing his other side in front of her...

She picked up the cup from the stand... "thanks for the coffee..." she said ….Veer smiled "no problem...can I ask you something...if you don't mind?"

She replied immediately "sure..." though he was a bit reluctant to ask "people drink when its too cold, have you ever tried drinking?" he saw the color on her face changing...her features made her look nervous... "its alright...it was just a genuine question...if you don't feel like answering" Chandni looked at him "no...i don't drink and I hate anyone who drinks..." she said with a little frown on her forehead...

Veer quickly added "same here...even I hate anyone who drinks." he said, showing a similar frown... Chandni was impressed by Veer "i hate drinkers...i don't understand why people drink...you know Veer that is the worst thing one can ever try" she said while keeping the cup...

Veer seemed as if he wasn't listening to her "Veer...what happened?" she asked him...he immediately smiled "nothing...i was thinking we should leave now... he started driving... it was still raining heavily...

Chandni was happy that Veer doesn't like drinkers and doesn't drink at all... " I am happy Veer that you don't drink..." Veer smiled a little...deep in his mind he thought he can never break her heart by telling her the truth...there was something that Veer was scared of loosing...he liked her and never wanted her to go away from his life...even though she met him few days back...

Veer was driving extra carefully as the path wasn't safe...Chandni checked the time...it was almost evening... "are you going back today?" she asked him without meeting his eyes... "yes...how can i stay here?" he said casually...while looking at the front... Chandni knew the weather wasn't good...it was risky to drive in this weather...she somehow managed to ask him "you can stay at my place tonight...this rain doesn't seem to stop anyway"

There was a steep turn towards the right side that made Chandni fell on his shoulder...her hands were tightly holding his left arm for few seconds...he closed his eyes, a passionate feeling ran down his body...he wanted to hold her tightly...another second he opened his eyes and stopped the car... "are you alright?" she nodded and moved back to her seat adjusting her hair... he looked at her for few seconds then started driving...

Soon they reached Chandni's place...it was still drizzling... "won't you come in?" she asked after looking at Veer who did not move out of the car... "i must leave now" he said while opening the door of the car... "are you sure? Cause the weather is not good." she asked while taking off his jacket carefully... "its not that bad...i will reach within an hour." he said smiling at her... she handed the jacket back to him... "thanks" he said and took the jacket...

he stepped inside the car while she started moving towards the door... he gazed at her...her short top lifted a little when she walked showing her fair waist... he could make out some noise...that was her bracelet, it had small bells around it, that made noise when she walked... she turned behind to say good bye when suddenly out of blue she asked him something "what's you phone no Veer?" he was surprised but answered smilingly... "i will call you in one hours time to make sure you reached safe" she said and waved her hand... he too lifted his hand to wave back...then drove out of the drive way...

For some time he was smiling to himself...he was happy for some reason, he drove towards the narrow path...there was little noise of the rain outside...he didn't wanted to think of anything else besides her... "this lonely sky always covered my heart...you entered my life with the sweet sound of your bracelet and filled my lonely heart with your smile"

Chandni looked herself in the mirror while brushing her hair...she felt good about Veer...she thought he was handsome, well behaved, didn't have any bad habits...she looked at her clip that Veer took off from her hair...she picked it up and smiled...

The Priest was sure about chandni's fate and he helped Kamini to perform the prayers regularly at the temple, she made it a point to come every Monday... It was her immense belief that the evil might prevail in her Grand Daughter's life...she took a huge plate from the priest of the temple...it had a coconut, some flowers, a red thread and some sweet... "don't worry the evil cannot survive in front of good..." the priest gave his blessings and asked Kamini to give the sweet to Chandni...

Kamini nodded and touched his feet...slowly she walked down the stairs...her mind was always occupied with different thoughts... she still remembered the last words of her husband...

"I know Chandni has spiritual powers and that is her reason to come on this earth...because she is a mere human, she is unaware of her past life...either she will pure the evil or she will herself get impure"

As soon as he reached home...he heard his phone ringing...it was an unknown no...he picked it up "hi Veer...its me Chandni...have you reached safely?" the moment he heard her voice, he silently leaned against the seat...with a smile on his lips he answered "yes" she wanted to hear him again...there was silence on both sides... she was nervous... "yes I have reached safely...thanks for asking" he said...she closed her eyes...his voice was creating a passionate feeling inside her...she lay on her bed... something was happening with her...she kept her hand on her heart to feel her heart beat that was loud...she wanted to hear him again and again...though she didn't had anything to talk about...she wanted to listen to him... "i have to keep the phone now." she said with great difficulty... Veer wanted to hear her sweet voice again …..he wanted to hold her...embrace her tightly in his arms...he wanted to kiss her lips...but he couldn't show his feelings... "alright...goodnight" he said while closing his eyes... it was not easy for Chandni to disconnect the phone... "bye...goodnight" she said finally and kept the phone... her heart was still beating faster...her hands were cold... she touched her hot cheeks that turned crimson...

Veer stepped out of the car...he had a unusual smile on his lips... he opened the door "hello Kaka..." he said cheerfully... Kaka was surprised to see him smiling all of a sudden... "so how was Darjeeling?" he asked casually while cleaning the utensils...

Veer was on the stairs when he turned around to answer "beautiful" he said with a smile and went inside his room... Kaka couldn't make out the reason for his happiness but he was relaxed that Veer liked the place...

Veer quickly opened the glass window...took a glass and was about to pour his drink when he remembered Chandni's words...

"i hate drinkers...i don't understand why people drink...you know Veer that is the worst thing one can ever try"
